I honestly don't know why you don't more views as your videos are amazing and I know many people are out their looking for them. Probably CZcams algorithm problem. Because there aren't that many videos like this on CZcams.
hi David, been following your channel for a year! Thanks for sharing and creating these contents.❤ May I consult you a question? I am very interest in the digital clothe design part since I like the fashion and beauty things, but I am not interested in making the clothe with fabric. For fashion designer, does it have to know both the design part and making the clothe part? Thanks in advance!
Such a great resource you are providing! I have a question, when I create my clipping mask rather than the watercolour background clipping to the technical drawing, it appears blank. Why would that be happening?
Possibly the clipping mask is not whole or a closed object. I would select the object that you want to use as the clipping mask, then close it using "unite" in the path finder tool. This should complete or close the object. Next, make sure your watercolour layer is arranged below the clipping mask/ object, then select both clipping mask and watercolour objects with the big selection tool, finally right click and apply clipping mask. Hopefully that resolves the issue.
hi! thanks for the video. İ have a questıons. All right we did the design and now we goning to produce this design. How we show the details? i mean, for example we have a leggings design and legging's have a transparent piece, so how we show this piece? how they understand how this going to produce?
You can always increase the size of your technical drawings to highlight certain areas and use a colour fill or texture fill to indicate areas that feature different fabrics. Possibly add a Key to your drawings? I hope this helps resolve your issue.
A photo is unfortunately not editable, therefore, you can't specify what areas of your CAD to add swatches to. You would need to digitise it by tracing the technical drawing using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. You can then use the editable version to define the areas to add colour etc. Or, if you want to save time, you could build the technical drawing by downloading and using our technical drawing pack. Here is a link to all of our illustration packs: designlab.london/digital-fashion-illustration-adobe-illustrator/
You mean create your print design and then get it digitally printed? We have a tutorial that demonstrates print design: czcams.com/video/ofWSiSty2WE/video.html . Once you create your print, send it to a digital printers. You can then select the fabric type, scale and more.
I believe Adobe Illustrator does have an app for mobile and ipad but i don't believe it is as simple creating flat drawings, since fingers and tap screens might not have the same level of control as the precision of a mouse and keyboard. You could certainly give it a try though and let us know how it goes?

@@PatternLabLondon Actually i don't understand but we didn't add key.
What to do if the image won't add into the swatches table ,,?
Hi Margaret, possibly the image is too large to be added? Resize the image and try again?
i added a photo of a CAD drawing and it’s not lettting me add swatches to it

Is there a way to do this on iPad?
