On Tuesday, May 3, 1983 I cut school to go to Monmouth. My horoscope said "Count on good financial luck today." I did, returning to the track for one last bet, that won, letting me stay. Before the last race I found a live trifecta box of 1-2-3-8 (50-1, 35-1, 14-1, and 20-1) that the teller didn't let me cancel. 10-9 duel to the wire six lengths in front when #10 knocks #9 over the rail. Comes in 10-2-1-3 but #10 is disqualified, my tri is put up and I collect $2,146.00 at age sixteen. I remember this day *very* well.

That commercial for Andy Granatelli's car tune up, it should say something I remember from music class as a kid, "these are major tune ups and they rest on doe (dough $)! LOL!
6:51 W.B. Brydon on the Renault voice-over. He played the part of the bank manager in the movie Trading Places. His voice will also be familiar from the many Oxy 5 and Oxy 10 spots that he voiced.
6:27 - Doug Henning special - The gorgeous redhead in the cube of money is Anita Morris, who co-starred with Doug in "The Magic Show", on Broadway.
She was also in the original Broadway production of "Nine", in which she wore a black lace bodystocking that was so sexy it was banned from the Tony Awards.

I actually received one as a Christmas gift in 2002. It didn't go past the mid-70s though since the '80s weren't yet fully retro, even if in its beta stages. I wonder if those DVDs include the '80s/'90s though.
