Colin Greenwood on bass, what an understated genius....!

Yeah, all original members are still in the band, quite unusual after all these years, but who would quit a band like this? they please themselves, do exactly what they want and ALWAYS evolve, every day in the studio with them must be unbelievable, they have done 9 studio albums so far and 7 of them are considered classics, they probably have at least another 3 albums worth of b-sides and non-album singles/tracks that most bands would kill for, i don't know of another band in history who have that much quality material and for this long, their 9th album believe it or not is one of their best as it seems to bring together everything they have done including Thom and Jonnys movie score work.
    Nice reaction guys 👍

Once you get into these "deeper" Radiohead tracks youll start to see the diversity, and the reason why we love them so much. This road we all walked and fondly remember.

As a Hail To The Thief suggestion, you guys gotta check out "There, There." If you like that one, "2+2=5" is a similar track off the album you'd enjoy. Great reaction!

I love Radiohead and Radiohead reaction videos in general, but I really like watching you guys as you hear these songs for the first time. Keep em coming!! There are soooo many great songs from over the course of their career. So many different sounds and feels, but all very high quality.

Thanks guys! There are two "from the basement" sessions. One for In Rainbows and one for King of Limbs. Clive Deamer was the second drummer added to their live performances during their King of Limbs years and he can be seen on the FtB for that album.

They've had the same band since they started. Like you touched on, they added another drummer on King Of Limbs, and for touring. His name is Cilve Deamer, and he's also played with the band Portishead.

Sweet! Best version of my fav song of Hail to the Thief...
Haunting songs that comes to my mind right of the bat would be
'Climbing Up the Wall' of OK Computer; Album version
    and
'How to Disappear Completely' of Kid A; Album version, which is both haunting and beautiful.
    And my thanks to Andrew...

There there from hail to the thief is one of my fav Radiohead songs but they really are amazing musicians. This is also a great tune 👍 . Their cover of the Joy Division song Ceremony is really excellent

Awesome song to do! Like many of their individual tracks, this one didn't grab me for a long time until coming back to watch it live on this show and now it is in my top 10. One of the reasons there are so many requests to this performance and why it is so beloved is both related to your remarks about getting to know Thom and the band as they perform - it is like a private show (and yup - same 5 members for 30 plus years, along with producer and even album artist for the majority of that time - with no losses or add-ons) AND it enables you to see them recreate their 'sound' live, so layered and deep and a true soundscape - no other band in their timeframe that I know of creates these deep landscapes of music (i.e. the Pink Floyd references despite their music not sounding particularly similar.) A great breakdown by you guys b on this one - Thom is playing mostly muted rhythm (but it sounds sooo cool when he gets his little breakdown) and the other two guitar players are in tandem (one with the E-Bow - Ed O'Brien - sort of his specialty with the band is providing the sounds that don't always leap out but mesh all the songs together for their lunar vibe) and Johnny Greenwood playing a rare instrument called the Ondes Martenot, it is like a keyboard/synth you play with a ring on a wire for those gloomy sliding notes with vibrato and a lot of other unique and full sounds (listen to the music while watching "Their Will Be Blood" which he composed - it is incredible - and you'll be like 'that's the lead guitarist for Radiohead who made this??") and his brother Colin and drummer Phil Selway crush this song - that is one of the low key best bass lines you will ever find in Rock and it is on a 'mid-album track' on a fantastic but seldom cited as top 3 album. However, many people do connect with this album in this way - it has some incredible high spots and a lot of experimenting while coming back to more rock driven songs after drifting into their furthest experimental zone to that point with "Kid A" - this is one song that is a big stand-out from this record.

You should check out Radiohead's Spectre, which they wrote for the James Bond film, but the producers chose Sam Smith's song instead. There is a video on youtube of the Spectre opening credits with the Radiohead version which is definitely worth checking out. Love watching your Radiohead journey lads!

Yeah, it was around the time Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief came out that I started getting in to more electronic music. Wasn't a particular fan of Radiohead at the time, got into them more since. But their experimental sounds rubbed of on me and helped me discover electronic music like the fantastic Boards Of Canada who I am going to keep banging on about until Nathan caves in and goes "OK! We will check them out at some point! Now leave us alone!" Ha ha! 😁 They are one of the greatest Scottish bands of all time by the way. Now I just need to bribe some Patreons to request them! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎶

Such a cool groove with the edgy, crazy minimal music floating above it. Sorry for yet another reference, but this is where Genesis SHOULD have gone into the 80s. (sorry, Phil) Now on to MORE.

I'd like to see you guys react to Pyramid Song... but honestly, you can't go wrong with Radiohead. Their B-Sides are next level. It's actually intimidating how talented they are. If I were to recommend a B-Side, it would be The Daily Mail. It is actually completely insane that someone could write that masterpiece and be like, meh, doesn't really fit the album theme. There's a reason Radiohead fans are annoying, and it's because of Radiohead's music. They must have over 100 songs which are unique gems that must be heard.
