It makes no sense to be upset with using a 55th pick like this when Lakers literally had a horrible 1st rd rookie an nobody really even cared because he hardly played. People should care alot more about wasting mid 1st rd picks over one of the last picks in the entire draft fr. It's not like Lakers had anybody else on the draft board they actually wanted, so why not? And as an organization, if this helps in any way one of your best players get even more excited to come back, or be more incentivized to take a paycut because this makes him happy enough to throw away millions of dollars and allow the organization to get better pieces. Then honestly, regardless of Bronny's performance it was 100% worth it for the organization. Ya'll can't be so simplistic with your viewpoint if you look from an organizational perspective it was a great pick and keeps everybody happy, excited, and wanting to continue working together to make the best team possible from all sides. This draft pick is what you call a win-win for the organization, coach, and players. There's no way Lebron should even take a paycut with how much the Lakers still rely on him at basically 40yrs old, but he's willing to know if they can land somebody noteworthy. I never understand why everyone else shouldn't be the one's to take those paycuts smh.
@@gamechanger114 The team plays better when LeFraude is on the bench, AD is the best player on the team by far but gets no credits. There you are spreading false narrative. Life father, like son : bagless! Give us back basketball!
People dislike seeing billionaires get handed things they didnât earn. Bronny never has to work a day in his life. Now he gets an nba roster spot just to play with his daddy. People who have to fight for everything in life will not like that. Plain and simple
Bro so practicing the game of basketball everyday is him not earning anything? Fuck the draft. You acting like he just was born a good basketball player.
Bronny works his ass off, so much so that he had a heart attack, heart surgery, and still came back from it stronger. Sure, he is insanely privileged, but he didn't choose where he was born, and he choose to play the sport that gave him the life he has, the game his father loves, the game that his father gave his life to. Bronny could have chosen to become an executive and his work would hurt millions of lives, he would become part of the system, but that isn't Bronny, he loves basketball, not money. I'm not surprised, he probably learned from his father. Athletes are arguably the most "deserving" billionaires. It is the one place where you can only profit off the success of others so much, at the end of the day, all the richest players (who didn't become business people), were also among the best. Bronny is a lot closer to whoever else they could get at 55th than the sons of 99% of billionaires are to the jobs they get. You think Bush Jr was smart enough to be president? Hell no. But he was born to a president. Same goes for Trump's kids. Elon Musk's father was an insanely wealthy South African slave owner. Bill Gates comes from the Rockefeller family and his father owned a large part of Seattle, his first major contract for Microsoft was an IBM contract that his mother got him by talking to her friends on the board. Even that contract was fulfilled by stealing from a brilliant engineer because Bill Gates and his friends weren't smart enough to make anything serious on their own. Mark Zuckerberg grew up wealthy and stole Facebook from another Harvard student, by the time the court ruled, the company was already worth 100 billion, the court only gave the student who made it 100 million or so. Worse, these are just public examples, all the real owners of the companies just inherit that wealth and get to control the future of the entire country through stock investments, it is a small group of families who own almost everything. Bronny has been practicing for over a decade, he has beat some of the best in his draft class in the past, that is called putting in work. He got picked at 55, most players who get drafted at 55, will never even be known, they will come and go, nobody will even remember that they spent a few years in the league. So yes, Bronny is just as good as those players. But being LeBron's son helps.
That's why you work your ass off to be able to do the same for your kids, it's always us black folks complaining about stupid shit, shit what we can accomplish too

Thereâs a huge Differences from owning a company versus being an employee of a company. Letâs understand the differences before we speak to justify a particular course of action.
Giannis got his brother on the team and a mfn shoe deal and his other brother is in the league on a bench as well mfs hate knowin if they had the same chance to get they child in a position to succeed they wld also do it people really make me sick
CJ huffing that copium. We donât like nepotism. Bronnyâs basically denying another kid the chance at being a pro-baller because he won the lottery at birth
If you don't get picked up when the 55th pick rolls around you need to go back to the gym. Ain't no one with true skill at that point in the draft is getting passed up on.
@ymmij5217 I don't believe comparing players to front office jobs is stupid. You have to figure some players and office workers whether they are friends or family get put in positions due to connections or nepotism. The only difference is, that player is qualified to play the sport, but in most cases, the family or friend is not qualified to do the job given to them...........
At 55, they didn't even want to sign anyone other than Bronny. They got the 2 two-way contract players they wanted after the draft, and they got a third on an exhibit 10 contract who will likely get signed on a two-way contract if he does well in the summer league.
See thatâs how you know you donât know what you speaking on fam đ him going in the 2nd round guarantees him a roster spot even if he goes down to the G league, if they were to get him after the draft, they could waive him at anytime, thatâs why Rich Paul said they werenât going to accept any 2 way contracts and only fully guaranteed contracts
Did you guys see the Anthony Davis interview he said the Bronny wasnât even qualified to be a water boy for the lakers and he was basically making fun of bronny
But as a man u dont wanna be seen in that light, its just like how austin rivers was that guy in high school, and when he got to the pros he needed his dads clout and leverage to secure a roster spot every year
Sure, full of lickin'balls. What a great shitty opinion. CJ officialy exposed him as a bronsexual! It will be hard to get the true basketball back in this league...RBA!

And like I said, you canât even make an intelligent argument about who they should have drafted instead lol. A second round draft pick got drafted in the second round. Get over it
@mikemarc92 knowing there previous second round picks has nothing to do with wasting a pick when you could have picked him up after the draft. Your argument is completely ivalid. Bron just wants to tell people his kid was drafted. It's clear as day. Whether or not that should be ok is debatable but to deny Bron did this for publicity is simply delusional
If I were Bronny I would have said no. By getting drafted there youâve literally engulfed yourself in the shadow of your legendary dad bro. You will be out the league in 3 years when he retires
That's why you're not bronny, also bronny pre cardiac arrest was kinda solid player, and it's always bron dream to play with his son also 55th pick a lot of player that might be better or worse than him get picked ahead, give this dude 2 years and lets see (also there is antetokoumpo brothers)

Nikola JokiÄ, Jalen Bronson, Manu Ginobili, Dennis Rodman, Draymond Green, Mark Gasol, Toni KukoÄ, Paul Millsap, Gilbert Arenas, Khris Middleton and many more are second round picks. â@@Rio-dmvIf you're a die-hard Laker fan, then how do you feel about JHS, #17 pick from last year?đ€ This maybe crazy but Bronny as the 55th pick already has more potential and value than a wasted 1st rd pick just a a year ago.

That voice crack at the end knew he was speaking facts
Nepotism is a bad thing, no wonder America is in free fall đ
People dislike seeing billionaires get handed things they didnât earn. Bronny never has to work a day in his life. Now he gets an nba roster spot just to play with his daddy.
People who have to fight for everything in life will not like that. Plain and simple
Facts cause he didn't earn no NBA spot
Itâs the American way same as Donald Trump put his kids on his White House staff they never got to work a day in their lives
That's why you work your ass off to be able to do the same for your kids, it's always us black folks complaining about stupid shit, shit what we can accomplish too
CJ is truly an amazing analyst and broadcaster

They've officially brainwashed an entire generation of sports fans and this is where we are today. Nepotism is fine and who cares if it ruins someone else's life, cause WE GET TO CELEBRATE LEBRON. The NBA is dead, it will never come back because fans are not idiots, they know when they are done with something.
You dealt with George Bush jr deal with this
Yeah! Now they are going to flip the script and all. The truth of the matter is that the kid wasnt even averaging what guys in late second round do. He was drafted because of his father, not because of his game and ability. What people dont see is that what lebron is doing is hurting bronny growth as a player. Well said CJ!
Comparing players to front office jobs is extremely stupid. That is why people don't complain about front office nepotism.
Nepo players usually go undrafted. Lakers could have gotten bronny anyways via undrafted free agency
At 55, they didn't even want to sign anyone other than Bronny. They got the 2 two-way contract players they wanted after the draft, and they got a third on an exhibit 10 contract who will likely get signed on a two-way contract if he does well in the summer league.
Egos too high for that
See thatâs how you know you donât know what you speaking on fam đ him going in the 2nd round guarantees him a roster spot even if he goes down to the G league, if they were to get him after the draft, they could waive him at anytime, thatâs why Rich Paul said they werenât going to accept any 2 way contracts and only fully guaranteed contracts

Sign him after the draft. No point in wasting that pick unless you are Bron and want the attention and to say your son was drafted.
Over the last decade, you canât even name the lakers last 2nd round draft picks without googling it. The hate is extra because we are talking about Lebron and his family.
@mikemarc92 that doesn't matter. He still forced a team to draft his son when there were plenty of players far better than bronny. Your stance makes absolutely no sense
@@jacobarndt8567 it makes plenty of sense. Youâre signaling this out specifically because it Lebron. I bet you never mentioned anything about Gianniâsâ brother in the league. Or when the Knicks took JR SMITHS brother to make him happy.
The kid had a nice showing in tryouts. Maybe the lakers saw some potential in him.

Still worth living out his dream. He probably won't be in the league for long, but he can at least say he made it.
Everything is fact apart from greatest player. That belongs to Kobe/MJ.
Why?
Can't boil it down to 1 or 2 people. Top 20 all have cases. And the greatest validation is being in the Hall of Fame
Lebron has accomplished a great deal more than Kobe did in his career....
