No. Theoretically, yes, but technically (as in relating to technique) there is no way to consistently get these results. Maybe possible to calculate once around the rim, but it will always take luck because of how many variables go into shooting.
@@lancepeterson7997 It's the butterfly effect, where even the tiniest changes in the starting conditions can have a massive unpredictable effect on the outcome. Like a basketball player wanting to spin the ball around the rim ten times before going in, but they get the angle wrong by 0.000001 degrees (because humans can't be that precise, especially in competitive scenarios) and all the sudden the ball merely goes around twice before falling in.
The only consistent thing they could do is shoot the ball at such a steep angle that it stays in the air for such a considerably long time before entering the rim
It's really cool how the types of shot are naturally grouped by the time ranges. Like as you hit 2.5s you start getting all those in and out and in swirl patterns
Me 4 minutes in thinking there’s no possible way that any shots could take longer than the one I’m watching: *taps screen to check the time left “There’s still 2.5 minutes left?!?!”
@@m1lkbags The height of the moment was greater with Jordan's shot, but the difficulty of Khawi's shot was clearly greater (running to the right and shooting a corner 3 compared to a straightaway pullup), and both shots ultimately led to a championship, so I'm gonna say Khawi's is better overall
One time I was playing 5 on 5 at a park near my house and a guy drove in and took a layup. It ended up getting stuck on the back of the rim. We had to get it down somehow so one of my friends threw a shoe and it ended up landing perfectly on the ball and both items were balancing on the rim. It was one of the most glourious and luckiest things I have ever witnessed
I would've thought this video would end with shots that actually stayed on the rim and never dropped like that one Derrick Rose took when he was on the Knicks

Hey, thanks for the effort that goes into the audio mixing! I like having the commentary from one clip spill smoothly into the quiet opening of the next clip.
I love how the genre starts to switch from high bounces and soft touch jumpers to toilet bowl shots. It gives some insight into how the longest shots are achieved and the physics of it lol
by the 3 second time i was impressed and thought "what else in a shot could a ball do to possibly take any longer" then comes something else MORE unreal 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Damn, huge respect for finding these clips and actually putting a stopwatch in the corner. That must have taken a lot of time.

It’s easier than it looks actually. Once you’re in a video editing software you can just count the frames. Finding the clips is the hard part.
Crazy how so many of these are game winners as well, the ball just lives for drama I guess lol
i was going to say that it seems almost impossible how many of these are with the clock running down
pretty funny but maybe there's a ton that got missed because they were just in the first quarter of a random game
