    30 years on I still use my om2n. Mail order processing but the metering is still King. Want to learn photography, get a film camera.

    Very clear explanasion. 1 small correction for reference, that small switch below the lens @4:30 is DOF preview. Only top one is used to detach the lens.

    The switch on the lens near the timer lever has nothing to do with releasing the lens from the camera mount, it's a depth of field preview.

    Hello, I have an OM-2 but the selector lever broke, here in my country it is extremely difficult to find spare parts, but I found parts of an OM-1 with the selector lever, it is possible to use the selector lever of the OM-1 in the OM -2?

    Do your shutter blades return back slower than other cameras? I just got one of these and the shutter blades seem to return really slowly. Thanks.

    Hi there, how do you know when its on the first exposure - thanks

    • @mudgie069
      @mudgie069  Před 7 lety

      Next to the film winder there is a shutter count (small window). Once you wind the film and fire a couple of shots, the shutter count will go number 1 which is the first exposure. However, sometimes you can get 37-38 shots out of a 36 roll of film.

    Hi! Is it possible to use the lens into my nikon d90? Is there any converter to buy? Thanks.

    • @mudgie069
      @mudgie069  Před 5 lety

      Yes, do a search on Olympus OM to Nikon F adapter there are plenty of them on ebay. Of course the lens will still be manual focus and it doesn't have any electronics to record exif data. Hope this helps.

    • @mudgie069
      @mudgie069  Před 2 lety

      I'm not sure what the current value of the camera is these days as classic 35mm cameras seem to have gone up in price. At the time I purchased it, it was a very good price. Cheers.

      I got mine the other day for 150 usd with three lenses and lots of other stuff, but the only local camera store that has one sells the camera only without a lens for the same amount. Private seller usually include a 50mm for around that price.
