    I have been following Brendan for quite a while. He is the only customizer I’ve seen to produce true innovations in harmonica design. One day Brendan will be in a history book for redesigning the way we play. Much love to you Mr Power! Love your inventions!

    The possibilities are endless, incredibly great idea. Harps are being taken to the next level.

    This is a dream come true. Thank you for making this and doing all it takes to go into production; I’m sure it’s been an odyssey. I look forward to losing my mind trying to decide on a reed configuration ;)

    Could this be expanded to a longer comb? My first thought was 'full octave glissando' (or maybe more... the crazy chord harmonica idea I was working on needed 14 hole harps). Since you've gotten rid of those pesky reed plates which always have to be stamped... (are you printing or injection molding the combs... if they are printed it seems it wouldn't be hard to modify them to any number of holes... those pressure things maybe could be adapted to different covers?)
    What happens if you put blow plates on both top and bottom? I need to watch the rest of the videos... could you make an octave harp that way (well, a not a real octave harp since you'd lose the draw notes on that hole, but maybe something like-
    Regular C C D F A C
    Low C C E G B C
    It would give you a low C/regular C octave like you could get on a 365 without the need for 14 holes and tongue blocking.
    I'm also wondering if there are any 10 note melodies I know that just repeat. You could make something a kid could play a song on just by doing a glissando. (Or a comb for a round pitch pipe they could just spin! It would have to be a bigger comb to fit those reeds though.)
    Really cool stuff. I'm getting so many weird ideas. :)

      It's all about enabling weird and wonderful ideas! The standard comb is the stock Kongsheng injection moulded one. However I could make 3d printed longer combs with all long chambers. However chord harps can be made using the existing comb - the next video is dedicated to that.

    So Cool!! Would it possible to make extra reeds ?? For example put in a E Reed in the 3rd hole blow G harp, make it a Paddy tunning harmonica . or put in any other reeds make it different tunning !

    For Russian Barbarians from the East 😎 : Его основная идея: возможность замены язычка при ремонте, без необходимости клёпки. И таскания с собой целого арсенала. За основу он взял американскую военную гармошку со сменными язычками. На сменных пластинках язычки размещены в обе стороны - клёпкой к себе, или от себя. Можно перевернуть пластинку с язычком, сделав двойной эффект на вдох, например. Применяет особую гребёнку, в которой язычки на сменных пластинах (набор и строй можно заказать на его сайте), прижимаются крышкой, на которой размещены специальные прижимающие опоры. Для герметизации используется силиконовая прокладка, которая обжимает каждый язычок по прямоугольному контуру (играет даже со снятыми крышками). Замена язычка занимает 5 минут, два болта крышки и ковырнуть отвёрткой ("Г" - образным пинцетом). Гармонику он запатентовал...цена на сайте 90 фунтов стерлингов, там при покупке, сразу набираешь 20 язычков настройки. Хранение съёмных язычков в удобной коробочке.

      Thanks for your comments. Would it be possible to include an English translation? Unfortunately I can't copy and paste what you wrote to translate it myself...

    How about dividing the Reed plate and comb together?And then connect them(combs with reedplates) with magnet?so that we could make a free-hole harmonica?And if that happened,the chord harmonica ssch56 can me made with all notes in low octaves

      @hamonick Před 2 lety

      the comb limits a lot.And that's why I suggested you to divide combs also.Maybe it's easier to work on a metal comb.The cover plate can be made like Chinese made echo harmonicas
