Karen Wigglesworth Yes can we please know how much this build was? And what options are available? I know a basic Promaster 159” wheel base runs $30-$35k but for the build? This van is one of the few I’ve seen that truly looks to have nearly everything I’d want...I would just add a 35” by 45” ceiling window above the bed.
Exploring Alternatives Hi, on your next video's could you mention the lenght of the bed in both metric systems please? maybe more measurements would be practical for many viewers? Cost etc
I noticed that too... not so much a mere detail - I think it gives a feel of perspective and length and order to the whole interior. It's a key to why the interior looks/feels so great. Nice observation.

@@batissta44 as soon as the last fledges we're taking our pup and hitting the road. Planning now. Doing a self build van. Can't wait. Having a "normal" life is suffocating and highly inefficient. Tired of getting ripped off with taxes and utilities. Every dime going to them and not much to show for it. Eventually will probably buy land once we find out where we want to settle. Definitely somewhere without winters like here!😀
I find the comments absolutely comical. Of course you knew you would get the comment, "a toilet in the kitchen!?" People - this is a van.You could put it in the garage space, but then how would you get to it in the middle of the night? Or maybe under the bed, but it's all so close to the kitchen because - it's a van.

I really like this van conversion alot. You did a great job. You have just about everything that fits. It would be nice to have a shower curtain between the back doors for more privacy.
Really nice! I think the only change I'd make, is putting a shower curtain rod against the outside of the rear, privacy drapes, to protect the electronics (or line the rear of them in something that'd deflect water), and an additional collapsible shower curtain rod (like found in many campers) that expands out between the two rear doors, for showering privacy.
Great ideas as long as there are no flies or mosquitos. A lot of times you need to keep your van closed up. It's funny that all these "styler's always show their vans wide open. We use a pop up shower tent and a folding dog pool to catch the water when you don't want the mud in camp.
I watch videos like this to get an idea of how I’m going to do my build. I love this spacious floor plan. I would do without the seat and table and put my shower,toilet there.since it’ll be just me probably go with a full bed for even more space .

*Hey Exploring Alternatives!* 😁 Suggestion for those who live in a van with a dog: The area under the bed, which you can access from opening the back, would be great for a dog. There is a lot of ventilation, and a doggy door to lead back out to the front of the van.

Wow, that's a pretty nifty van. I love everything about it. It's so light and airy inside. The only thing I wouldn't use are real glasses in the cupboard area, but that's just me.
I see this as more of a Glamping Van than a Camping Van. It's very beautiful inside but more of a weekender type deal to look pretty with the china cupboard and beautiful cabinets but open closets don't conceal the reality of multi week camping trips and of course there are many other shortcomings as mentioned in the comments. It's very pretty inside though and very inviting. Great latches and the fit and finish seems top class. I like it for it's particular application which may suit certain individuals. There's no one size fits all in van life.
Very sensible and highly functional van. Enjoyed this - although not my style. I like studio apartment living here in Switzerland. Cheap rent, can just pack, lock up and travel.
Really solid build. I'm a fan of the shower at the back but utilising a shower curtain under the fan with a small paddling pool type thing would allow you indoor showers too
The reason why the toilet is in the kitchen is so you can eat and take a dump at the same time. Thereby your body mass is constantly maintain as you replace your waste with new food instantaneously.
Tumbleweed I just think it's an odd place to put a toilet. I think if they took out a lot of the storage they could put it in another section. Where would you put it?

Suggestion... Latches for the cupboards could simplify travel by putting a bit of nail polish on the latch when it’s closed. Then a simple glance would be all needed to verify secure drawers and other things. Maybe a red band on the press and pull type latches would help as well. A shorter checklist time before moving on is an advantage. Not negative criticism, but ideas. Regards...
I am going to camp from my 6 cyl p up w cap Set up a folding wooden tent w small woodburning stove. The truck bay will have two slide out storage drawers and tailgate kitchen. Outdoor foldable bathroom. For travel it makes sense to me keeping it light.

Canadian Company? Definitely not 4 season. Canadian climate in winter is not conducive to showering outside.

I dont see any anybody would get a RV bigger than a class B unless you have multiple Kids.

Many van Dwellers join a national Gym and shower there. In the states, we have Planet fitness $20 per month membership. Two birds one stone.

I saw someone had installed netting screen for glass slider doors that fit almost perfectly to the rear van opening

That sideways bed is great if your 5'2" but a non-starter if you 6'5" like me.
you could easily have a bed perpendicular with the length of the van though
