    Should there ever be a situation where even when all variables are being accounted for yet the results are different after each test then science can't help you.

    Science, Engineering and Technology are agnostic. It's how humans create or express the use of that technology.

    Science can tell you how the universe works, but not why it works.

    he misses an important point: a lot of the times, people's stated goals are nonsensical and contradictory. you need science and reason itself to come up with good goals or to even know what you actually want

    • @matthewmondilla6752
      @matthewmondilla6752 Před 18 dny +1

      Again, science cannot answer why that goals are considered good in the first place. Also, science is mostly dictated by scientists, there's no 'science says' but rather 'scientists says this or says that'. Thus, scientists also differ by their definition of what is a good goal or not.

    Well, we don’t get the moral code (right & wrong) from science anyways, it’s from God.

    • @aldrinspeck2724
      @aldrinspeck2724 Před 18 dny +10

      no, you get you moral code from you community and your culture, who went through thousands of years of trial and error to arrive at the best ethical guidelines according to the circunstances of a given place and time. Nothing supernatural about that.

      No
      There is no single source for morals. sure, some people go with the flow of culture. Authority means nothing unless you allow it to.
      You can have every single person on the planet agreeing that something is wrong, but thats all you have, everyone agreing that its wrong.
      wrong is not an absolute, but Right is.

      Notice how every believer across time and space seems to have different ideas of morality. If there was a god uniform in responsibility and power, and morality stemmed from its behaviour how could that be possible?
