How to install Sunforce Solar Motion Light . This video will show you how to install a motion security light running on a solar panel. How to Install Solar Motion Security lights on vinyl sidings.
I used a vinyl siding wall block. I attached the sliding fixture mount on to the wall block and screwed both of them on to the vinyl siding of the house.
To prevent water intrusion, I applied silicon to all of the 2.75 coated external screws. I also used silicon on the top and both sides of the light fixture's mounting brackets.
I did not put silicon at the bottom of the fixture... this will allow moisture to escape or flow from the bottom of the fixture.
Notes: Keep the lights off for 3 days! According to the manual/manufacturer the batteries require 3 days to fully charge before use. Stay till the end of the video to see nighttime activation of the lights. I took video clips of "out of the box" brightness or dimness (no charging). I took another clip where it has been charged for a full day! After only a full day of charge, it is already really bright... I cannot wait to fully activate it after 2 more days of charging!
If you are wondering, why I installed the solar panel extra high (not next to the light fixture), I did that in purpose. This solar light source will also serve (for emergency/if I must) as a light source for one of our bedrooms. See the top right window above the solar panel. I have a generator but it only power on necessary circuits (this room is not of them).
