  • In this video we finally get back into the super cub project after a few months away. All new plastics have arrived and it's time to get those prepped and color matched with the rest of the bike so we can finally start getting this thing back together!

    We're finally back into it! What do you think of the result on the new plastics? I think they're lookin' great! We should be ready to start putting this thing back together in no time!

    Awesome. What is the color code for the light blue? Thanks

      The official color code from Honda is just "Angel Blue", but I was unable to find this anywhere. I cannot recall what the color code is of the paint I used, but if you bring a panel to any automotive paint supply place, you should be able to easily match it against a color in their sample books within a minute or so. That's all it took me!

      Hey Pop Box! Consolidated Motor Spares (cmsnl.com) has a great catalog of all bikes and their associated parts and diagrams. From here you can get the exact part numbers, and with those you can search Google, ebay, etc... and find exactly what you need!

    What is the paint thinner youre using in this video?

    • @blastworks
      @blastworks  Před 2 lety

      Single stage PPG paint, I can't recall what the thinner and activator are but if you look up single stage PPG automotive paint you should be able to track down the products!

      As with the thinner I think im going to just try to sand it, and use rustoleum primer and a similar enough color to respray all the main things, ill be getting a wire brush and drill for the metal because I dont have access to a sand blaster
