    Bahut achha laga. Nice explanation. NPN transistor amplifier is best. But mostly complimentary vpair like 3055 2955 or 5200 1943 or 5198 1941 are being used in output stage. Moreover while measuring Hfe gain with DMM same transistor shows different different gain in case of c5200 or ttc5200 purchased at different time interval from different online sites / shops. Batch mfg. Main aisa hota hai. To kya batch match karke kharidna hota hai. Aap jaise fail karke reject kiya hai, waise to kharida gaya transistor ko kaise use karein, is par ek nuskha bataiye please. Yeh janiar bhi bahut jaroori hai.

    Thanks for sharing your topic on hFe of transistors. This helped me lot. I had prepared corel files for so many npn and pnp complementary pairs at output and driver stage. Also collection of both pnp and npn output transistors most commonly used in amplifiers. But today, your lucidly explained on hFe broadened my knowledge.
    So now I can concentrate on NPN transistors with having almost likely same hFe.
    My question here arises that if I make or utilise for home purpose say only 50 watt output, wherein I am not going to utilize the transistors full gain/ saturation, may be half of it's gain. Can I use complementary pairs of C5200 and A1943? Kindly suggest me.

      Most output transistor are connected with emitter resistance to match difference of their hfe value you can use very easily 5200 and 1943 pair if there not matching Hfe , emitter resistor will compansate. Only driver transistor are required to match their hfe value but sometime some PNP and NPN transistor has great different hfe value .

      @@AmplifierWorld Oh! I could follow your reply. Every pnp and npn complementary output transistor has 2 resistance compensated at its emitter.
      So, only driver transistor, say BD139 and BD140 can it be replaced with MJE340 and MJE350 perfect complementary pairs.

      Driver stage ke transistor ka Hfe value 100% match karna best hai. Output stage ke transistor ka value Agar 100% percent match hua to bahut hi Achcha result milega but itne sare transistor ka hfe value match karna possible Nahin Hai isliye emitter resistance lagaye jate hai jo hfe ko balance karte hai

    Mera ek question hai... Output stage me c5198 aur a1941 kaise kaam karte hain ? Mere sub-woofer me ye pair lage hue hain. One pair give 50watt. Can you answer it?

      C5198 ki 140v and 10amp current capacity hai, ye ek pair 70 watt ka hota hai jo ki hi fi audio amplifier ke output stage me lagta hai. Aap isko dj amplifier ke Driver stage me bhi use kar sakte hai jo ki 20 pair transistor ke base ko voltage and current de sakta hai

    Something wrong something right information in case we make an amplifier without output transformer we can ignore hfe value in driver and output stage if we make an amplifier with output transformer , hfe value create major problem.

      You are very much right. How many transistors we have to reject? Moreover same transistor purchased at different times, different batch, different shops, different mfg co. Hfe varies. End result would be Driver or Output transformers, where DC isolation is also there which protects Speaker also. Please inform any circuitry available with output transformer.

      Aap npn and pnp me amplifier board banane ja rahe hai to har ek transistor ka hfe value lekar lagaye, aap shop par hi sabhi transistor ka hfe lekar aur almost same value vaale transistor le sakte hai, but shopkeeper manana chahiye, company me jo amplifier bante hai usme company lot me transistor kharidti hai jisase same hfe value match karne me aasani hoti hai

      आउटपुट स्टेज के ट्रांजिस्टर की एच एफ ई वैल्यू मैच नहीं करने से भी चलेगा लेकिन इनपुट स्टेज और ड्राइवर स्टेज के ट्रांजिस्टर की hfe वैल्यू मैच करना बहुत जरूरी होता है और उससे एंपलीफायर की बहुत सारी एरर वाली प्रॉब्लम सॉल्व हो जाती है जैसे डीसी ऑफ सेट और वन साइड ओवरहीटिंग
