Do NOT buy at gun shows!

- Are gun shows a ripoff? Why are prices so high at these shows? Is it because people don't know better? I'm not sure, but being in the industry, I recommend avoiding purchasing things at gun shows, unless it's something rare, collectible, or on your bucket list and hard to find. What do you think about gun shows?

I've been to several down in Texas and Oklahoma when I lived there. Everyone selling guns is usually a dealer. Prices are usually inflated compared to their in store pricing. There really is no gunshow loophole. You are going to fill out a 4473 anyway so go their store during the week. You'll get a better deal.
So strange that they do that lol
100% correct. Down here in Tampa Bay, I’ve never found any deals at gun shows. Practically every vendor is a brick & mortar gun shop with brick & mortar prices. Far better off buying online.
Home base business here!!
F Armory LLC hit me up 🤙
They are excellent places to buy powder and loading components that are not stocked in local gun stores
Was just at a gun show today with friends, your right. It does give a good idea to see what’s out there, what’s new and talk with other people and see what they recommend. Plus some have cdc courses. But prices are over priced. Not a bad idea to see what’s there and look for it elsewhere.
don't forget the entrance fee and parking fee
All that worries me about the show is the massive amount of fuds that attend and are very aggressive
That’s how’s it been here in Wisconsin where I live. For a few years now it seems. About a year or two before Covid I noticed deals were far and few between. Glocks are about 525-649 where I live, but at gun shows there about 650-750 for some reason. Don’t get me started on surplus rifles. Remember those $50 mosins back in the day? Some folks are asking $300+ now.
Yea the surplus stuff is nuts. But people are still buying it. Its only going to continue to get worse
In Wisconsin do you need I’d to purchase at Tun shows
I noticed this too over the past maybe three or four years now. I’m in San Diego California and they actually stopped doing gun shows here.
The real Texas gun show is the best
Absolutely 💯 correct....buy online....
Where exactly online bro?
@@Chikilin09321 palmetto state armory

American Flags made in China made me laugh lol. But definitely scary 😅.
So then where do you recommend me buying a glock 19x
Academy sports and outdoor or online and send it to your ffl
I only planning on buying something rare at the local Gunshow here in Indy at the fairgrounds sometimes ammo or a range bag or mags but the rifle on my list to is a Beretta ARX100
Probably will add a couple police trade in AR-15/M4 with the light and a zastava AK-47 I normally don’t see zastava in stock at my FFL
Far as my handguns they gotta be willing to go down on prices
I almost totally quit going. Because everything you said is correct. You can go to a gun store and get everything lower in price than at a show. I pretty much go now to look at oddity items. I wanted to get an older Buck knife sheath because the new ones now are absolute crap. Ended up buying a Buck 119 knife with the older flap over knife sheath for $20. Bought some old hickory kitchen knives for 6$ a piece when they are over $30 for 1. Saw a Slip over recall pad for shotguns at 5$ to 10& which is a great deal.
I stopped going to gun shows about 2 years ago for exactly same reason
Gun shows in NV prices weren’t that inflated, roughly about the same online or in a gun store. I prefer it actually. You will never see more selection of firearms at any gun store as you would a gun show. But, the cheap optics, mags, and gun accessories were a joke! Over priced junk of brands I’ve never heard of.
I do agree in general. Now the one that is local for me does have higher gun prices but bulk ammo is cheaper and there is always vendors with unusual items that i cant even find online. Now the specialty ammo is about on par with online prices after tax and shipping. Always plenty of cheap chinese parts and accesories. I think thays every gun show
lol I was just about to attend a gun show this weekend. Maybe I’ll just pass
What about for backup iron sights other than Magpul Pros? Gun shows good for stuff like this?
No. By the time you pay admission, you’re way over paying for Temu sights
Im 21 and ive literally never been too a good gun show that i can remember, theyve all been like you said. My dad took me to some when I was 3 and 4 that were better im sure,he went to one before I was born that had Randy Weaver doing book signings,my dad got a picture with him and said he was really chill and laid back.
I saw a glock 22 for $1150 and boxes of ammo for like $40
Depends on where you live.
I just found that out today at the gun show in my city. Nothing but cheap crap from China and a lot of it off Amazon. One of the biggest vendors has like 8 of the long plastic tables with all sorts of cheap optics and lights. People spending their hard earned money on literally crap. Guns being sold here locally were being sold $30-$40 bucks more. I only saw one legit vendor with bad @ss customized ARs. That rest was overpriced crap. I took in 3 antique pistols and not one vendor out of the older vendors who would probably know about them didn’t know anything. A lot of the guns were used. I didn’t spend a penny except on a drink and of course the entry fee.
They are a scam. I still don’t want to see them go away entirely like the govt is trying to
Thanks
Thanks for this vid
This is true is Asheville NC way overpriced
It didn't start being that way till about 1985. Since then I may go to meet like minded folks, and folk that deal in gear I'm looking for. Other than that, it's like being drug along by a famale hitting every garage sale in a hundred miles. Lolol
Way over priced. Sometimes u can find a deal (very rarely) or sometimes people are walking around selling their own gun. I only go when i know im looking for something rare.
Yeeessss bro they are man !!!
No I find great deals plus the nearest gun shop is over 200 MLS away so when my town has there gun show once a year I will probably buy 1 just because I don't get out much
That’s understandable if you have no other options. I just wonder how overpriced they are there compared to where there are plenty of other options
@@DirtbagOutdoors not much different but I also live in a very small town and it's put on by locals so we probably get a decent deal
You pay to attend the gun show not to save money on most products.
You go to collect business cards. Enter the raffle. Buy some homemade beef jerky. And touch absolutely every gun that you would normally not even bother the guy behind the counter at your local gun shop for.
If you're lucky you'll save a dollar on some stuff compared to online after shipping
If you're not paying attention, you will grossly overpay for some stuff that you could just buy online even after shipping😂
Hats, bags, stickers, clothing it's all the accessories that you might save some money on. Even the cheap Chinese knives when you buy three for $21. Those are awesome to give to people as gifts. So long as everyone understands that it's a $7 knife😂.
I've been meaning to tell the story to someone. Might as well do it here and now.
At my local gun store/ range that I love to go to, they have a heritage rough Rider in the display case that's used. It has a little bit of rust on it and the handle is beat up. They have it on consignment they're asking more than what a brand new one costs the exact same one delivered to their shop after paying their fees and everything.
They're always too busy for me to stir up some hypothetical conversation as to why they're trying to sell that. I guess my curiosity is what type of customer is going to buy that obviously someone who doesn't just whip out their phone and see what they go for online and then ask them. Hey, what's your transfer fee? And then realize that they're going to save a bunch of money if they just buy a new one over this used one?
So trust me I get it. I would expect to pay way less for some used busted gun. Just like I would expect to pay less at the gun show because I paid to get in.
100%
Yeah
I have never bought anything at a gun show the prices are crazy high , i have heard them say when your looking at a older gun they will especially if they think you're new to firearms, i heard gun shops are buying a bunch of used firearms a lot of people cant pay them bills, welcome to bidens world !
Smh
Ohio gun shows are always top notch.
What online shop you recommend for good prices?
I dont recommend online unless its too good to pass up. I advise finding a nearby dealer who has good prices and build a relationship with them
I live in mass , imagine that gun show lol , exactly what you described except everything fire arm has been castrated ! 😮
Psycho earrings.
Huh?
Sounds republicanized 😂
overprice is cap
What do u mean? Gun shows aren't overpriced?
Not the guns shows here in southeast Georgia. Prices are wayyy better than the stores
