Great job! Love the controlled palette in the front and the structure overall. Very thoughtful!

Love the ideas for her xeriscapes. I thought I saw evening primroses growing in the yard. I have them in my back yard and love them. But I discovered they can take over the yard if they are not carefully controlled. They send out rhizome roots as well as seed and are hard to get rid of. Very drought tolerant. They are considered invasive in some states. Amazing how many different ways water wise drought tolerant landscapes can look. By the way, my summer wildflowers flowers are in their full glory and they are beautiful! Come on by when you have time and admire them. Meli

I have definitely seen the invasiveness of evening primrose! In southern California, they will actually grow in the gutters at the roof level! Luckily, I haven't seen them be anywhere near that invasive here. Have yours spread?
It sounds like I need to head over to see your flowers again!

At 19:00 there's a gaura White Whirling Butterflies--my favorite. I had one that died in the fall n the nursery pot brought over from California, and another that was planted late in the fall last year that didn't make it either. Glad to see it's a perennial in Utah. My plan for the park strip redo is to get three gauras established earlier in the year to withstand the cold. I'm in zone 6b. The strip is looking quite trashy with two Russian Sages that spread both with seeds and runners. Otherwise it's actually glorious-looking. Debris that builds up between the rocks is why weeds get anchored. Easier to manage early on. I've seen people spray hard with a water hose on the rocks to get them out. I've yet to try it but at this point it needs a total redo to give it a clean look. And to keep myself sane. Thanks for an inspiring tour.

Gaura are gorgeous plants! They really do well here. I am excited about your park strip redo! There are so many fun plants that you can use!

So beautiful! I will have to watch out for those sneaky redbuds. I'm sure one might try to jump in my car too. 😂 I love the cattle panels on the raised beds as well.

Can't wait to start planting this spring. Come do a review on our yard in five years. 😂

So you have lists of plants that you’ve published for all of us that would love to get some of those plants in our landscape

@markpulham2555 Not yet! I am hoping to do that sometime in the future. My actual job is as a landscape designer, and I do provide custom plant lists when I go out for consults here in Utah. I do charge my consultation rate for those.

I would really love to find a Desert Willow for my landscape. Do you know where she purchased hers and what cultivar it is?

I don't know where she got hers, but it's a Lucetia Hamilto Desert Willow. High Country Gardens has them!

I ordered mine from High Country. It comes pretty small but they grow really quickly! Mine is only 3-4 years old!
