  • Ride along to see how this machine operates in real speed. Rye straw bales and a 35 acre field are no match for this piece of equipment. Along with our three John Deere tractors and three New Holland balers, we run three New Holland Stackers.

Nice video recording. I used to operate these “harrowbeds”/ bale wagons back in the late 70’s to ‘80. We hauled mostly alfalfa and some straw in Central California. I prefer working with alfalfa, myself. It’s heavier, holds its shape better, and stacks better. Straw is lighter and more “springy”. And straw fields are hotter when the days are over 100 degrees. Also, very bright with the sun reflecting off of all that light colored straw. An important task was making sure you kept your radiator grille as clean as possible from accumulated particulates. Don’t want to overheat your rig!

Ran a 1033 pull type and 1069 before going to big bales! Both great machines! Miss them

I wished my dad had one of these wagons when I was a kid. Probably contributed to 4 back fusions and two hip replacements. Lol

I used to work on them balewagons back in the New Holland dealership days from mid 80’s to 1999. There used to be a huge flax straw industry in these parts, Kimberly-Clark was the company that processed the flax straw for its fiber and used it in many places. They started with small square bales so we sold ton of bales and balewagons. With time they went to round bales and sold lots of them as well.

What was the monitor in front of the cup holders for?

That is for our backup cam we have mounted on the right-side rear. Makes dropping the stack so much faster because that side is your blind spot side for reverse
