    In this video we are doing another movie reaction!! We are watching Shaolin Soccer (2001) FOR THE FIRST TIME!! We really enjoyed Kung Fu Hustle when we watched that ( • Who Knew a Martial Art... ) and we were so excited to check out another one of Stephen Chow's movies! All his life, an ordinary young man (Stephen Chow) has been treated like dirt. Still, he's never given up believing that all the world's problems could be solved with a little kung fu. So he's teaming up with a band of misfits - six friends who were kung fu masters in their youth - to form a soccer team that only he believes has a chance to win a $1 million grand prize. Together, they're going to apply their hidden talents to a whole new game -- and soccer will never be the same.

    As he got older, Stephen Chow slowly stepped out of the limelight. He directed CJ7 (his last appearance on screen, I believe) and Mermaid. They both still has his slapstick comedy but the latter felt a little "lonely" without him being the hero. If you're looking to see his earlier films, my favourites are Fight Back To School and Sixty Million Dollar Man.

    At 14:07, I love this single moment so much... Because in this moment, Golden Leg is preaching what he now KNOWS TO BE TRUE. He had his title tattooed on his chest as a kid. Because he thought he was so great. But one of his own, fellow players destroyed him. It wasn't throwing the match that lost the game, it was not being a team. In this moment, I feel he sees himself as he WAS. But his comments speak of the wisdom he has LEARNED in the years since.

    Watched this movie when I wans in 2nd grade in 2002! Woooh 20 years ago already! Stephen Chow was a huge actor in Asia before. Im from the Philippines and his movies along with Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Bruce Lee are a huge hit in Asia. I think because of their movies relatable to Asian humors. Glad to see you happy with the movie. 🤗

    I've seen and watched many couples reacting to movies and anime but according to me and apart from reaction, you guys always gives me the good and best vibe as couples. I've never seen such perfect couple, i see lots of respect, love and understaning between you two, though idk how you are off screen but the way you are on screen tells me that i am not wrong because you guys seem genuine(not faking nor acting to be good) and i envy it.. and this is also one reason why i watch your videos.
    Because i get annoyed when i see someone disrespecting their other half or get selfish, arrogant and many negative personalities. It annoys me and dont feel like watching their videos because it makes me feel uncomfortable though their reactions are good and are on point.
    Thank uou for being a youtuber.

    I think you guys when watching this didn't realize how that initial brother guy goalie looks so much like Bruce Lee, mimic his signature moves, sounds, wore the kind of sunglasses Bruce Lee wears, and he wore Bruce Lee's yellow and black outfit from Game of Death (1978) movie! 22:03
    This same outfit inspired Quentin Tarantino to put it on Uma Thurman in Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003)
    And this same guy is the Axe Gang boss villain from Kung Fu Hustle! who dance when he chops people and shotgun women from behind
    You gotta love Stephen Chow's creative references.

    Some of my recommendation:

    - King of Beggars;
    - From Beijing With Love (a tribute to James Bong movies); etc.
