I used to drive one of those back in the mid 90s, a LGP version with big wide pads, (low ground pressure) it was pretty good. Had a D4 with normal tracks (width wise) a while before the D6, the Komatsu 155 between those two for 3yrs. Plus a D8 and D9 after those.
Awesome footage awesome, I like seeing this material being unloaded and handled by the dozier. Seeing the trucks with full load of gravel being unloaded? Keep up the good work
Super video of satisfying work spreading gravel on road bed for construction. Must be a busy but simple/low stress job? Operator looks efficient/done this before. Go Cat D6 go! lol
Dump truck is ready to dump at 9:30 and the dozer could have let him dump in the centre so he could go back for the next load. Instead, the dozer continues to fluff about for another 3+ minutes with the dump truck still waiting. Video finishes before the dump truck gets to empty...
Joshua Lanier Exacalty lol probably never even seen a dozer in person let alone run one. He is doing perfectly fine and appears to carry a grade very well.
@@ConstructionMachinesChannel Sure are, the first D6 I operated was an old D6D. I was amazed at the raw power, the throaty growl. It was a large outfit with a sizable list of machines. Cutting in a street extension and sloping. Feeding the fill to a 988 loader! Made a good friend with that operator, he'd run that rig all day long barefoot. I don't know how, those 988 split windshields were like a blast furnace
The last was a D6R, so new I had to take off the seat protector poly. Hit the switch 2 hrs on the meter. Never heard of the company before, got hired over the phone! Got to work first day and presented that machine. If I had to run excavator that was new, 279 hrs on that. I had some good work and times with them. Great guys!
Steeping into a new machine is the dream. The D6Rs are great machines also. Have a video of one you might enjoy czcams.com/video/Uf-UjbCIXv8/video.html
@@ConstructionMachinesChannelThank you. That dozer is well cared for. Looks like it has seen mostly road jobs judging by side cutters. No hash marks from brush or stumps. An experienced operator can help extend life of machine beyond that last huge monthly payment. Turn some serious profit then. Road jobs always were my favorite, vids like this make me want join in on job site!
I own a JD420c, and it is a "Johnnie popper" . Yes the tracks are making a similar sound. My little dozer can only wish it could push in each pass what this machine does.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed watching.
Dozer boy holds up the entire process, by not letting the dumper in.... He makes a good job of levelling though for a non-GPS dozer.
Absolutely, a good operator. Thanks for watching
How exactly did he hold up the entire process? Looked like it was moving along just fine

This video is the closest rangienz has ever been to a dozer...but he’s got a “better” way to do it. Fool!

Almost makes me want to go back to work.
The slack in that track makes it sound like an old two lunger JohnDeer tractor.
It must be the track going over that single bogey between the sprocket and the front idler.

I really like heavy equipment in operation. Great video.
Thanks. Glad you liked it.
