You are on the right track for my situation, but a little late for the word. There was a time, over a year ago, when I still thought this person was my friend. I've been aware for a long time that she is not now, and probably never was, my friend. It is other people who appear to be blind to the situation. And the person herself still denies it all and is still trying to convince others that we are the best of friends, and she really loves me. It's a repulsive situation altogether. I hope this means that the mask will come off so that other people will be fully aware of the truth. This person is sick and does not have my best interests at heart at all. It's been blatantly clear to me for a long time, but the woman denies it and others believe her. Honestly: we are living in a crazy world.
