We need to produce methanol from carbon capture by using renewable electricity. And one of the best way to store hydrogen in liquid form which can help both economy and environment. And can be used to run both fuel cell electric and ICE vehicles with the existing fuel infrastructure. It's a win win.

Nite ESC: simple chemistry dictates that one mole of methanol produces one mole of CO2. The carbon footprint to produce methanol is very intensive. The “capture” of CO2 to covert into methanol is even higher. Thermodynamics does not favor “green” energy. All the people 9n the panel are exaggerating the benefits for their own purposes which are not necessarily honest.

Pramod Mane moonshine production makes a byproduct of methanol you’ll just need to remove the water content and then you will have pure methanol but moonshine making is banned here in India but I think labs will be certified

They need to stop ethanol production. It's destroyed quality of gas, most places don't offer a choice of non ethanol. Not just just having to pay for a inferior product that gets less gas mile per gallon. It's runs at a tremendous loss. The govt has to subsidy the farmers billions a year to sustain it. Who pays it? We do, instwav of investing in our infastructure, education, health. Were paying for alcohol we don't need in our gas and then spending unnecessary more money on fuel because worse fuel economy. It has less btu, it attracts water into. And will corrode fuel systems and turn to varnish quickly. With 3 months I've seen it turn into varnish. Pure gas can be stored for 5 years easily. It's so horrible the industry knows itm they don't even add the ethanol to the gas until it's pumped into the tanker truck. It's blended at the truck. They don't store fuel reservws with ethanol. It would destroy their tanks infastructure and would have serious quality control issues.

Totally crazy to use coal. You need nuclear reactors doing this or the methanol economy is pointless.

mate nuclear is good but not as like methanol bcz nuclear waste is important for nuclear energy . you also know how our gov worked & how accurately so it's really a concern in nuclear waste, well before this plz read about jadugoda situation

They need coal to make it through the demand surge, because it's an already made feedstock. It'll take a long time for greed to settle before people fully appreciate the wonderful process Dr. Prakash offers us.
