Hey man!
Thanks for assembling your GIIMM 17c (GIGACORP Interstellar Instant Materialisation Module 17c) and getting me those squirtapod samples.
Rosie had me working on a desporification apparatus. I've uploaded it into the GIGAstaff tools database so you should be able to find it in the catalogue for instant download through your GIIMM 17c.
Let me know how it goes! We kind of had to rush testing a little...
ps. Hows the sulfur extraction going? man Rosie is gonna promote us for sure when she finds out you found a new energy supply for the ship batteries!! If you can get me a few more samples I think ive got this thing running like a CM-28 flyer but with the life span of a jedacraft!
Just gotta get it to stop leaking...

It's construction day my peoples - this Truck is getting finished TODAY! Big thanks to Bdubs for help with the awesome thumbnail! :) RD
The song you used in the timelaps is gorgeous and so fitting ❤
It has the bdubs clouds!!
Yo that thumbnail is 10/10
I love the build. It reminds me of the razor crest but with wheels (just dont tell scar)
Why not do creative building on a copy of the server?
When I think GigaCorp, I think that the green of Minecraft is the native world. And Rendog is terraforming the planet to GigaCorp's homeworld, which is the world of spores and toxicity. The idea that Rendog and GigaCorp is the "aliens" throws such a unique perspective onto things. A scientifically advanced society visiting the minecraft environment.
Yeah, Like the GigaCorp higher-ups are atypical lifeforms and need a specially catered biome for habitability after the environmentalists got all up in arms about the hyper-aggressive invasive species that were smothering the native flora and fauna. Kinda gives me Oddworld vibes.
That's easier to understand with the spread of the terrain and the wall trying to keep it contained.
This is amazing. I have only just started the Episode but I was thinking the exact same thing! Ren is the Alien and the GigaCorp structures are turning the Green Minecraft Land into a GigaHomeworld Ecosystem
Also some orange and white frogs hopping around would put a little life in the place.
Yeah space froggies!
There are frogs in minecraft now?
@@sth469yes and they're hella derpy. I love them
@@zoox20000 I believe the scientific name is 'Hoppius Ribbittium'
Definitely need Armadillos when they join the server... if they join the server... Sniffers, however, are definitely alien enough to fit right in.
I kinda like the idea that gigacorp has this clean facade, but really the suits are using you as a test dummy.
The ship is all white and pretty but it's fixed with spare panels and rattles a lot. Nobody's gonna hear about that sales associate again. Things like that.
You really think they expected Ren to make it for this long? He's costing them a FORTUNE and they can't do anything about it without raising suspicions.
That's why they haven't replaced the top half of his suit yet- faster to let the spores get to him, and they can get some free research notes out of it on the effects of spores on the body and mind
"Didja hear what happened to Ren? Yeah, they say he got ... 'promoted,' from Sales to the Planetary Research Division. Something to do with customer complaints about unfilled orders, I heard."
"PRD? ... Aw, man. Poor Rendog."
lololol
very Invader Zim...
If you’re going to keep the Gigatruck that size- essentially building size- it needs to really tear up the environment behind it. I’m talking about leaving tread-tracks and knocked over Mytreelium behind, that sort of thing.
9:55 - Observation, HC-10 spores cause eccentric behavior and lack of self awareness... will continue observation, please see below for future notes.
Especially when you only wear the bottom half of your Gigacorp spacesuit
Extraterrestrial neighbors seem to be influencing the subject, first making him their leader and then forcing him to wear their cultural headgear. It appears the subject is going native...
Can GigaCorp send a GigaMed unit to help research the spore impact on travelers to this exoplanet? 😊
It's also causing him to forget the time he tried to be James Bond in a sniffer onesie. Which was arguably a wierder outfit
Hmm could have medical usage hehe
Would be cool if there were tunnels throughout the entire base all dug by some alien bug species that leads to a nest deep below the base with glowly egg sacs, or possibly even just some flattened fossils or footprints of some massive unknown monster 👀
Day - 1
Touchdown on HC-10 was smoother than anticipated, considering the age of the Gigatruck. Hermitias Deep Space Transport Dreadnaught, what a name for this old beast. She's been reliable, but the years have taken their toll. As soon as we landed, it was clear this planet is unlike anything we've encountered. The air is thick with spores, visible in the light of our landing lights. Our filters are working overtime to keep the cockpit breathable.
First impressions of HC-10: hostile but oddly beautiful. The squirtopods, those strange, bulbous plants, seem to be everywhere, releasing bursts of spores into the air. They remind me of Earth’s fungi but on a much larger and more aggressive scale. The rivers, though-sulphuric and steaming-are a constant reminder of how alien this world is.
Our mission is clear: determine if this place can support a human habitat, and if so, start the installation of an Interstellar GigaCorp Mega Network Node. But before any of that can happen, I need to get the Gigatruck in working order. She's old, and after this long voyage, she's in desperate need of repairs.
I left the landing site, heading out with just my basic gear. My suit's integrity is good, and I’ve got enough oxygen for a few days. The scanner indicated some potential repair materials a few klicks west of our landing zone. It’s risky, but we don’t have much choice.
As I set out, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and dread. This planet is a mystery waiting to be unraveled. But first things first: fix the Gigatruck. I’ve left my partner RenDog behind, to start the construction of our research base. He is capable enough to survive on his own. If I'm not back within the first week, don't look for me, you need to finish our mission.
Signing off for now. Time to find those parts.
-Bob
Holy - That was sweet! great story of the lil bits of lore
Love this! Renbob has probably hitched a ride offplanet by now, and is chillin' at the interstellar diner drinking space margaritas while Ren slaves away on the research base. lol
If GigaCorp wants to terraform the plant for inhabitants, they might want to start extracting resources to help cover the costs. In which case an orbital platform and space elevator would be good for shipping sulfur off planet for refinement.
I enjoy seeing Ren on his best behavior when he's in the company of Falsie
"A bit like a Boeing"
*insert joke about doors flying off*
Id like a little flying Gigacorp Drone please Ren. Named the Gigacorp DR1. Or GC DR-one.
I reckon it'd look sweet in the biome and could be resupplying the Storage unit or something something lore..
Ren could retexture allays into drones kinda like doc got his slime tomatoes. So those can be actually working drones filling his storage
I've had an idea for lore-- we know Ren works for Gigacorp, and now we know he's testing the planet for habitability. However, the alien planet is straight in the middle of HC-10 where all of his friends are, so this whole time I've loved the idea of him trying to trick Gigacorp into thinking he's doing dangerous work while he's hanging out with the hermits. He's made his own biome, fit with a wall and its own plants, and so any "scan" or "report" he'd ever send back would just show up as the alien planet :D
The spores he's adding is where the real danger is, but he's creating that danger for himself lol
The post production added sound of the hum in the Truck - chefs kiss! Be cool to do a noteblock/music disk version when you open the hatch. Another great vid! ❤
Vanilla custom discs are upcoming!
Ren, you left the truck door open! The spores!!!
32:30
I love the gigatruck, but it definitely gives me the impression of Spaceballs, a brand new, sparkly version of the Winnebago. And I feel like Spaceballs would fit in nicely with Ren's universe-building lore.
I think the order in which you built things is mostly fine?
The mothership stays far away, in orbit around the star. Small ships are dispatched to the habitable planets, with a small survey team and minimal resources.
When the survey is completed, the team may pack and abandon the planet, or they may launch the beacon that requests the next stage.
Air, water, food, long-term habitation. Basic material refining. Mechanics and Assembly. And then everything is ready. The mothership dispatches the big machines, ready to upscale mining and refining of valuable resources.
Was half expecting to see an upgraded Renbob camper van on top of those treads lol.
Best way to move in style
You should add a few little drones flitting about as though collecting samples, or "watering" the local fauna. Maybe even add a tiny Spore Farm and populate it with 2 or 3 farming drones... or a single long combine flying/hovering over the field spraying nutrients/fertilizer onto the nearly grown crops.
Dearest Ren Diggity Dog,
I know this is a crazy idea, but what if there was a flying Gigatruck or constucto-copters offloading/constructing a building? It could be a good excuse for a farm of some sort! Constructo-copters are also a good place to have non-obvious shucker monsters!
Another thing I thought about- if Gigacorp is looking to establish network connections, they need a Star Wars style Comms Tower!
I'm imagining the comms tower on Lothal where Ezra lived, but with a GigaCorp paint job
Dude this whole biome is looking so good!! I wish i had nano bots to fix my corrupted photos man!
Dude same! And well, everything 😂
I love the Lego idea! It makes total sense for the gigaverse - it’s much easier to ship smaller parts to hostile planets and then for them to be assembled on site rather than shipping whole buildings. Your schematics look a bunch like Lego schematics as well!
On the idea side, it would be cool to have entrance gates where false puts the river through your base, perhaps straining the squirtipod juice out of the river to avoid contaminating the outside world.
The headcanon I'd created for the lore of the base was something more similar to subnautica, where GigaCorp does not intend to land on this planet and has instead had to use the resources of this inhospitable alien world to survive.
EDIT: Gigacorp seems to be very much like the corporation Alterra from subnautica. Much like GigaCorp, they create tools, weapons, vehicles and modular 'Habitats'. The character can piece together and recreate these blueprints to create very stylistically similar vehichles, bases etc.
I love the GigaTruck!! And the LORE!!!
1:55 Lore of data glitches resolved by nanobots and zooming in on logo... with texture? Is that... Moon texture...? Moon Big?? No, Moon Normal this season... right? (I still remember Doc's first episode this season had that unexplained moment of Moonatrix Octa's voice clip, in the background but very clearly audible, at a seemingly random moment towards the end...) or could be smoke or cotton texture, maybe...
More lore!! Rosie is busy searching for Enderion!! GigaCorp wants to survey HC-10 for habitation for something for their network!! This is so cool and I'm excited to see what the full story is!!!
I love the full immersion tour, copper grates and doors really are perfect for a sci-fi spaceship with those metallic sounds, and everything looks so good!! You're such an amazing builder and the story is wonderful in both your dramatics and the details in your Minecraft art!!!
Implying _RenBob_ used to be a driver for GigaCorp?????? (Or was that just any random Bob? lol)
I love how 'using the Gigacorp archives' is a part of the worldbuilding! I'm an archivist and I get weirdly proud every time it's mentioned haha
Adding some chickens to the cockpit would really make it a cockpit.
a pilot called Bob?? the return of renbob??? so excited to see more and loving the lore so far, great video !!
The schematics looks great, Ren! You should have them framed on the Giga Command Center for keeps :D
Oooh yes! Custom paintings
Great job on the GigaCorp truck! I like how you said you were "reclaiming" land that you were actually "claiming." 😆
For next season, you and Scar need to create a _Star Wars_ themed base together and just expand on it throughout the season.
Gigacorp commonly sends out (expendable) employees with the mission to "test distant worlds for habitability". Actually they are simply isolating testing sites for their new line of (occasionally explosive) automated doors. Good luck, Ren.
You need to expand your alien base into the ground and sky. Add a mine and a small space port with incoming rockets or something> even flying drones.... awesome base!
That vehicle is fantastic. I'm loving the lore this season!
Oh gods. I'm LOVING the idea that RenBob is a former GigaCorp employee but Something Happened (Lore!) that caused him to be a bit more -ahem- spaced out (pun intended). Like maybe he ended up on a different planet with hazardous flora and that's why he's now all peace, love, and... plants.
I like the idea of the pathway being its own microbiome that just happens to be a viable pathway. That could explain the plant life around the paths, as well as the organic shape they take.
I'm loving your content Ren. It's great to see you fully embracing it this season. I know you have done it in previous seasons... but it's great to see you hitting this season with every piston firing!!
I think the biggest thing about HermitCraft that people don't realise... Is there is something for everybody.
Yes, some people watch others and don't watch you. However, there is such a diversity amongst HermitCraft members, that is why I believe it is why it's so popular. I may have been late to joining your channel but I'm so glad I did. I love your content Ren and I can't wait to see where Gigacorp goes from here onwards 😊
Ps as part of your build, you could include a little pit with endermites or silverfish in as local wildlife.
Ren Diggity Dog!
I really appreciate you expressing how you consider comment feedback, and it’s made me finally suggest something that’s been rolling around in my head in regards to your base.
I really like the spore idea you’ve been going for, and it made me think a lot about decorating the air itself - have you considered adding in some custom alien clouds made out of glass? Or maybe a low lying haze forming 30-40 blocks above the base?
I think having some kind of physical object in the air, especially one of a non alien color (like a noxious purple or blue cloud) would further add to the alien planet aesthetic. It might also help you with your sight lines too - a couple thick cloud layers obscuring certain portions of other people’s bases from your base could amplify that isolated, alien feel :)
Maybe even some hovering gigacorp planes would look great! Maybe they have tractor beams going to one microbiome, analyzing it’s content?
The area above your base is full of possibilities, I’d love to see you play around with it sometime this season!
Love how the truck came out! I think the beacon sound effects would be perfect for that interior hum sound, maybe put on a disc so you can control the audio range. Great episode!
“I already bought some so you can stop talking” cracked me up 😂
Here's an idea for a build.
A drone control tower, to maintain and control a number of worker drones that keep the base functional.
Of course this could also add a few kinds of drones and robots.
Small worker drones that can do simple maintenance tasks.
bigger Forklift drones to transport goods throughout the base.
I think Ren did have a copilot. He was named Chad. He didn't survive very long, but Ren learned about some of the dangers here because of it. Rest in peace, Giga Corp Chad.
For so long my biggest problem in Minecraft was having an imagination block. It's hard for me to look at certain block in MC and see it has anything other than what it is. Ren, however, you have certainly helped with that. Your imagination is one of a kind and I really can't wait to see where this area goes. I'm not really a space kinda guy, but I'm really enjoying seeing it brought to life.
It's quite a subtle thing but I really love the gentle curvature of the treads, that must've been hard to build but it looks so good!! The whole truck has such a great shape, it's perfectly suited to the biome and lore you've constructed
27:55 You could maybe use bee heads on a noteblock for the hum/drone noise?
The shuttle turned out great. Was expecting to see the build ever since you showed it in the last episode.
You can expand the lore like, the giga corp finds the habitants of the planet, and maybe makes deal with them? And the gigacorp can build giga moneuments around the world as a sign of truce.
Love the thumbnail!! The firework really looks like a planet :D
I was about to say, the size of the Gigatruck totally makes sense- not everyone is willing to risk a journey through space in something as small and precarious as an RV. But I guess now we might know where Renbob learned how to pilot in the first place! 👀
I'm curious why Gigacorp is investigating these spores specifically in the first place. What kind of use could they have for something like that?
GigaTruck looks amazing! Feels almost like the next evolution of Wasteria from FunCraft and I'm all here for it!
I think RenBob, who is definitely the CEO of GigaCorp (in my head), would be well up for terraforming and exploring the world for settling.
Love the GigaTruck! I give it 10/5 stars, extra points for the time lapse music and all the things to beep and boop! 🎉🎉🎉
Once you get the biome and buildings done you should do a giant drop ship that is almost to build height. Some thing like the carryalls from Dune that pick up the harvesters. You need a big ship with hyperdrive and storage for all the base components. Maybe have a docking bay on the bottom that matches the shape of the Gigatruck. The Gigatruck is sized more for exploring the planet once you arrive. Just imagine a giant Gigaship hung in the air exactly the way bricks don't!
I've posted before, but add hidden sniffers under the mytreelium to add the effect of trees creaking in the wind.
Also under the sulfur lakes add a hidden lava lake to get that bubbling sound, and add some hidden camp fires to get smoke coming out of the sulfur lakes.
GigaTruck sales flyer: The GigaTruck is ideal for world exploration with a spacious interior for longer trips away from the base. There is plenty of storage for all needed supplies, as well as all samples collected during research and exploration trips. It really is the perfect home away from home away from home.
Lets be fair, 10% of what ren says relating to the lore is pure jibberish words. Im here for it.
Thank you so much for the highlight, Ren. My heart went racing when I saw my idea on screen!
I love this game and love the way Hermits play it. So excited to watch the GigaCorp lore evolve and see what shenanigans the harsh planet has in store for our brave explorer!
That truck is freaking sweet! My 12 year old said, "That's the coolest thing I've ever seen! 😮"
I really like how the lore comes together organically. Yes you say that you think the GigaTruck should have been built first because canonically it was first. However, you aren't reading the book/graphic novel. You are writing it, and so the ideas and inspiration come when they do. I love it.
There's many ways lego has inspired me in minecraft building, from using blocks creatively, to finding color balance, to implementing modularity and more!
Lego is such a creative medium I dont think there can be a single "Lego building process"
Aaah I still can't get over how good the entire biome looks! And the truck fits in so well!!
Of course it's huge if it brought every single thing you need to start an entire exoplanet colony! Just the life support supplies alone must have been massive, and there's no weight limit in space, so you can make it as big as you need. I can see it flying through space with the treads retracted, and they deploy during the landing sequence to aid with soft landing.
Ren, I absolutely love your videos and i have a couple little ideas for the build.
It depends on how you think of your build, if its either a crazy biome within a normal world, or as a completely different planet.
1. If its a completely different planet, i think it could be interesting to think of what kind of air and atmosphere it has. Are you able to breathe the air? Is there a strong atmosphere to protect everything from the heat of the sun and the cold of darkness?
You haven’t done anything in the sky yet, maybe there are plants or fungus that are lighter than the air and naturally just chill in the sky. Maybe those floating plants are the only things that produce oxygen. Or maybe they produce a gas thats heavier than the rest of the air so it looks almost like a gas waterfall.
Even if you don’t do any clouds or living things in the sky, i think a gigacorp flying craft could be interesting too.
2. How big is the planet? If theres less gravity, maybe things grow taller than normal. Small animals who rely on less gravity to jump higher to get food from the trees. You don’t even have to build these animals, you could just show small holes in rocks where they would live. Have you ever heard of the “fact” that if you took a blue whale out of the ocean it would be crushed under its own weight? Maybe things can grow bigger on this planet because of the weaker gravity, you could show massive footprints from these animals if you dont want to build the animal itself. Maybe the gravity is strong so most things are short, so anything that gets big is really dense and strong.
3. Im pretty sure the earths magnetic field and the moon protects us from a lot of the meteors that come to us, and the atmosphere also burns most of them up before they hit the ground. Maybe this planet gets more small meteors than normal.
This is really kinda an idea dump, and i have no idea how “scientifically accurate” any of this would be, or even if it would look good in minecraft.
I love how you show the design process for your builds. It shows how much effort and care you put into each of your ideas
Cub's mega firework is insane from distance in so many hermit videos lol
The base reminds me of the Outer worlds cities, as well as Bridgehead city from Avatar 2. It'd be cool if you built the mothership eventually, possibly the Dreadnaught returning to extract resources.
Also whats the lore with Gigacorp? Good guys? Bad guys? Greedy? I cant help but think of the Halcyon Holdings Board from Outer worlds, a greedy mess of bureaucracy where people are numbers on a spreadsheet, driven by the demands of shareholders to constantly expand
I really like your timelapse music. It's such a good vibe and it's kinda spacey and a tad weird so it fits the base and the lore so well!
This makes me think of "the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy"(Douglas Adams), read by Gordon Dulieu, Ren even sounds a bit like him, and absolutely love those books on audio!!!!
Here is an idea for a skulk shop if you're looking for suggestions :
Have it be a Gigacorp™ HC-10 biosphere research facility, overgrown with skulk, like it was researching the strange fungus before it got out of control. Classic sci-fi stuff.
Otherwise, loving that truck ! I adore habitable or otherwise utilitarian vehicles, so this scratches that itch.
The Bats flying around, I just love it!!!!!!! cool looking ships!!
You should try to make sure the biome the GigaTruck landed in is a bit more smooth and not full of trees! Then it’d be like the pilot thought “hmm this is a perfect landing spot” !
Had a gnarly idea, maybe not this season, cause it would be a lot of work, but it would be to terraform the entire spawn area and outwards towards everyone's bases for thousands of blocks. Seeing how the landscape and lore of being on an alien hostile planet would influence everyone else's builds in a brand new server would be interesting and cool. So maybe a custom biome but like huge for the next season of Hermitcraft?
i honestly love how huge the gigatruck is, it really works with the feeling of gigacorp imposing itself on the planet
I love that Ren combined french kiss and chef's kiss 😂
the gigatruck - “Looks like a fish, moves like a fish, steers like a cow.” its the only thing going through my head when u called it a rickety spaceship
It feels like the maps in the GIGATRUCK are probably getting scanned by some kind of GIGADRONE that's in the sky, it might be beaming the information down to the surface (oh I don't know, through a beacon perhaps?) and it remains in contact with the nearest interstellar GIGACORP vehicles for contact with the home planet and assists future deliveries. (Bonus: a nice view of the base from the GIGADRONE)
Fully convinced Ren would be a perfect friend to have in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, or even DMing since this man is a lore wizard!!
Ren, you keep talking about your inner 10 year old, I am not sure you have an outer adult. And thats a good thing!
Ren, may I suggest for your skin that you design a Gigacorp space suit? Perhaps with a custom hat for a helmet to protect yourself from the toxic atmosphere of HC-10 as you acclimate. Maybe the helmet would only be needed outside of the boundary of your biome - the squirtipods could be making the air safe for you to breathe when you are inside the area.
PS: I personally am really enjoying the lore developing out of a "logical" timeline. It really feels like you're bringing us along with your creative process and I really like the honesty in your approach.
I think it would be really cool if your base continued underground and you made your own cave biomes. the cliffs and caves update added so many cool features to the game and i think if you are going to have micro biomes all over your base, cave biomes shouldn't be left out! maybe that could be another way to link up with the rivers? an alien water cave with lots of glowy bits could be really cool.
False co m es around..and Ren...walks around with a red rocket in his hand...🎉😂..I'm dead..
Analysis of the data sent during the first days of the mission.
According to the images and samples taken, it is assumed that the local soil is covered by a layer of oxidized iron, apparently granular, perhaps due to sulfuric valleys accumulated in wells across the surface. Protruding rock formations (similar to "stalactites") appear to support this theory, although more data is needed.
The passage of vehicles and movement of the crew showed another important point. Initially, there was debate in our lab that beneath the accumulations of granulated oxidized iron, the local soil was in fact some silver alloy, giving it the grayish tinge on the roads. However, new analysis of photos showing plant life shows that life grows much faster in these places, which makes our scientists believe that the crust is actually a silicon alloy, so theorized as an alternative for life instead of carbon. However, more informatio of plant life are needed for confirmation, so please send more data.
Extra Orders (Only for the Expedition Leader)
The gooey accumulation leaking from the pipes seems toxic and dangerous, so the first order of business was to get rid of it, to make it easier for the colonists to take over the planet. However, according to their data, new forms of bacterial life are being born from these corrosive pools, which could benefit us, bringing new profits to the mission in some way. Again, the center asks for more information.
With the new guidelines, we ask that you collect samples of these mushrooms. The crew's fears about interacting with the fetid pools appear to be unfounded. Data is necessary, so make them collaborate, by force if necessary.

saturday rendog video !!! i'm so excited to see this cool truck be finished :D
I have to say I love this base, and the kinda command and conquery vibes, this exo planet thingamajig really works, amazing job Ren. :)
Really enjoying watching your ideas and your base evolve this season. It’s like a documentary - but funnier!!
Looks so cool! Especially when the sky changes colour, feels really alien!!
an underground biome that may have some chaotic resources that could be highyl dangerous and may impact the terraforming mission would be cool
Wow! I'm real early, can't wait to see the final results! :D
Edit: The truck looks awesome! Loving the lore!
I know everyone is busy but a side series with Ren building out the Giga Corp homeworld alongside some more specialised cyberpunk builders like Sir Derpol, theenigmaman, or Adieceaft would be my dream series at this point!
For base concept, I love that as groundwork. It could further use a complication. Like, gigacorp is trying to test planets for viability all the time, so that makes this planet the planet worthy of a story. What did they find? And why is it dangerous/revolutionary/treacherous /funny?
Time to watch this while trying to figure out how to animate. The custom biome and stuff looks so cool!
The lore of the GigaTruck coming later is easy to reconcile! It stayed in orbit and drop pods of materials were sent down to the planet so you could make the area ready for it’s landing :)
I wouldn't worry about creating the different parts of the lore out of order, Ren. Speak from experience with novel writing, the different parts of the story can be written in any order you need to serve your process.
You and Scar are amazing incredible spaceship builders
Yoo Rendog this is looking awesome dude! Happy to see your base coming along pretty well!
27:59 A little appreciation for the editing, the the background noise turning into ship ventilation noises right as you explain how you imagine the room to sound like is top tier!
The lore here gives me BioDome vibes: Gigacorp has plans for a future world (maybe HC-11) and they are worried about various environments, so they seeded this world with some of that environment and it's Project Manager RenDogs job to see how they can adapt their products to the environment.
31:59 This reminds me No Man’s Sky! The ship & the different buildings within the base for the various planet exploration tools and labs and everything! It’s almost like you brought one of the planets from NMS to HC!
The Giga truck looks fantastic, that was quite the grind! I love how your base is coming together this season and I admire your dedication to getting it all just right the way you want to. Yes, it takes a while to think and plan it all out, but the results are *chef’s kiss*! 😘 I love how it’s hanging over some of the terrain, many builds cover the ground (because.. of course they do!), this is a nice twist, and quite inspiring as well for builds in the future perhaps. Really makes me think of something landing on a planet and not being part of it originally. And the other builds that follow are worked into the newly explored terrain, which also works great with this lore. Love it!
I really enjoy following the process and seeing you enjoy yourself while doing it. Keep on keeping on! (Oh and good ‘note to self’ on that bamboo sign I spotted in the Timelapse: deep breaths 😊)
Edit: oooh, the interior looks so good too! For the details in the cockpit, perhaps some armour stand magic?
With that bit of added lore in mind. I like to think that this area was specifically chosen for research because of its abundant diversity in flora and fauna in such close proximity to each other. Further, Giga Corp plans to profit/advance from their findings.. somehow
Here's two ideas for the future,
Mysterious alien ruins and armour stand space suits in the chill area of the truck.
Ren-digity-dog,
I love the research track. Make track paths, a mega door to let it drive out of the compound, and a space shuttle boom for pick stuff up and sampling the environment.
If you're coming in from the entrance closest to Iskall's monument, you need to take a major detour to go from there to the GigaHut. While this is exactly the kind of layout that designers do all of the time, it might be neat to see a desire path forming that's more of a straight line, on the other side of the GigaTruck. Maybe that area could even be getting "contaminated" by visitors dragging non-native flora in as they come to visit.
