for someone who claims to be bad at roleplay and lore. Iskall sure does come up with extremely detailed stories and world building for the most random things.
Yes!! It’s like you push a button and a random scenario generates in his head with the most ridiculous details, hahahaha! I love it so much
If you think about it, that's probably WHY he comes up with sure good stories, because he needs to have that justification for everything in his head, making his stories quite realistic and detailed. I would know, I'm just like him when it comes to that, lol!
I think a lot of it is in the framing. It seems to me he is more comfortable when it's a natural result of an inciting incident rather than the entire purpose.
In the case of the project with Stress, the story is after the mechanics(for the most part).
And I think part is a natural resistance to being told to do something when he's sound something else (which seems to happen often in comments/twitch chat.)
As for me, my pet peeve that's popped up in recent years is the replacement of 'story' with 'lore'.
Story is a narrative, ongoing tale and so on. Lore is a body of knowledge, a collection of stories.
So when MatPat discovers new stories hidden in games, it adds to the body of knowledge, thereby becoming lore.
With Hermitcraft, in my mind, the active season is the ongoing story, as are individual threads of previous seasons. But the collection of tales is the Hermitcraft LORE.
Sorry for the "Um, actually. . .!" But it's a thought that's been kicking around in my head for a while now and finally coalesced.

@@plswatchinfinitytrain High risk of fires in those buildings coupled with the fact that all the public amenities were on the ground floor. If you were truly affluent you wouldn't be living in an apartment though in those times.

Ya as the higher floors where also smaller and made with only wood with most likely no running water
Not even roman times, it was like this all the way until elevators became common. The most prestigious floor was usually the one right above the ground floor.
you have to walk less if you live bellow. (edit: as someone pointed out, there werent elevators back there, NOW its the other way around as elevators are a thing, BUT... if lights go out, then people would have to use the stairs xD)

@@ThisIsWizardsHandle I found a game called 5D Chess with Multidimensional Time Travel and would trick other students at my campus by challenging them to a game of chess on my laptop then all of a sudden I'd send my queen back in time to split the realities we play on. I turned a few people on to chess from that.

Iskall. You have to unlock the Twitch cape Before July 8th that is just what day it's supposed to enter into our cape inventory menu or whatever to select and wear it. Just in case you didn't get any clarification beyond that. I unlocked all 3 capes, but can only use the creeper one until July 8th.

You should apply a custom item model that is the same as diorite to something like a block of quartz or white concrete and replace all the stacks in Ren's shop. When someone buys it and places it down, it would reverts back to the original item model.

For the capes, you must redeem the creeper one in the correct place at the bottom of Minecraft website event page.
Another is from watching a Minecraft streamer, who has drops enabled, for at least 15 minutes on Twitch by May 30.
The third is watching a TikTok Minecraft stream and typing Minecraft in chat, iirc.
A mask is available for Bedrock players who subscribe to a Minecraft player - without using Prime.

I agree with Ren, everyone goes through a chess thing and it you haven’t you just haven’t YET.
I definitely had a chess phase, it’s just that I grew out of it mid-way through U.K. High School. I’d play against my dad, and, when we started, he would usually win. Then as I got a bit older I started to beat him more, until I would win pretty much every time. We stopped playing when it stopped being competitive
