Historically and culturally they're more similar to new york but none of those places reminded me of new york like visiting london did. They're both international dense cities with about the same population size, heavy west indian and Caribbean influences, public housing right next to million dollar homes and neighborhoods that can change block to block, similar energy and architecture and both have crazy cultural diversity that you don't find in the rest of the US or the rest of England. The drill scene, new york and london draw more inspiration from each other than new york does from chicago or other american cities. UK producers working with american artists, london kids getting sturdy. If you don't see the similarity then idk what to tell you.
