83 Thumri - Raag Mishra Tilak Kamod - Kahe Meha Barasat Nahi

“Ragarachananjali”, the book of my bandish compositions with an audio cd, has been out of print after the first edition (2004) and two reprints thereafter. I keep getting regular inquiries about its availability. In response, here is an attempt to make it available to the wider public without going in for a priced hardcopy reprint. This is part of a numbered 85 videos playlist ( • Ragarachananjali ) . All 84 bandish compositions from the book are uploaded and available here. The text part of the book is not included.
“Ragarachananjali 2” is still available in hardcopy.
The book has a foreword by Pandit Ravishankar and was published at the hands of Gaan Saraswati Smt. Kishori Amonkar among the presence of my Gurus and many stalwarts of the Jaipur Atrauli and other Gharanas. Her speech at the publication is also included in this playlist.
Tabla and harmonium accompaniment in all the videos is by Pandit Vishwanath Shirodkar and Smt. Seema Shirodkar respectively, and Miss Shruti Abhyankar, my student, has contributed to the production of the videos. Opening still colour photograph is by Shri Dilip Bhojane and the ending black and white photograph is by Shri Mayur Tendulkar.
