This is one show I wish they would do a reboot on.
It would be very hard. I wish in the 1980's they did a Movie about Falcon Crest's The Early Years. Kind of like Dallas in the early years. We could see how hard Angela had to fight The Big Boys to be taken seriously as a Businesswoman. Her burgeoning Romance with Phillip Erikson and how she broke his heart when she married Douglas Channing. How she took Chao-Li from A Young Immigrant from China and turned him into a Gentleman. How Julia and Emma's relationship with their Parents greatly affected them.
This was the only "real" moment that Angela had let her guard down and the only real time that Angela treated Julia like a "Daughter & Confidant" rather than her "Beck & Call Girl".
Julia talks about "Jail" and with the exception of Maggie all of the Gioberti/Channing women did time.
Isn't it ironic, they are having Scotch and "Wine" is their fortune. Although they didn't drink as much as on Dallas, they still had memorable scenes with it.
Dear God! That was such a heartbreaking Scene. To keep a secret like that for as long as they did was quite hard. By today's standards, there would have been DNA and Julia was right Chase "Is" Smart. Also although Jason's death was a tragedy, Chase had to take some blame, he didn't visit, call or see his Father who was in so much pain over Angela being The Queen Bee of Falcon Crest. Also if Jason hadn't "died" Chase never would have come to The Tuscany Valley.
