WOW! Thank You for this video. Being able to fund a Nomad retirement (via passive dividend income) is very important.
Just watched your TEDx talk and I am very impressed. I agree with everything and I managed to escape the UK in 2016 and go where I am treated best. Both your book and your videos have helped with that and I plan on attending a live event in the future. Thank you.
Thank you!! We will be happy to have you there.
Great video. Valuable information.
Thank you for this information, dividend stocks are a great way to invest for retirement income
Applied. Look forward to hearing from your team.
Our team will reach out to you soon!
I’ve averaged down aggressively on Ping A for the past months and it’s finally in the green after the incredible rally past 1 week and I’ve secured 7%+ dividend yield!
Great video, Andrew.

Malaysian stocks are good dividend payors and good exposure to commodities and resources.
I've literally just been thinking about this.
Great video
Well, I have a 10% US tax treaty, but I am worried about some of the valuations. I started diversifying into Asian stocks too.
Berkshire Hathaway Japan purchases up 50% and currency is down 40%.. 🙃
A ‘bare all’ travelogue of dividend investing. Thanks, two comments: 1. Interesting because the great stock investors and money managers such as Warren Buffett tend to be a bit secretive about what they buy. 2. High dividend paying stocks can be a ‘value trap’. It can be better to but a quality growth company with lower dividend yield that has a solid earnings growth story with growing dividends. It can lead to a more sustainable dividend that will grow relative to the initial stock purchase price. An example - Westfield Holdings management company that built the shopping centre empire has a very low headline dividend yield compared to the individual Westfield REIT. However the growth of its dividends in the management company eclipsed that of the REIT after a few years and the stock was a multi-bagger. Just one example.
Your Singapore stock mention - was it Bumitama Agri (SGX:P8Z) ?
For people who haven't visited Asia the growth rate there is on steroids. Every time I go back to Bangkok they've completed a few more BTS stations. In contrast back home in the PNW they've been working on the rail system for my entire life (40+ years) and we'll all be dead before it's finished haha.
You are "MISSING OUT" on the BIGGEST growth story in this century if you do not invest in "INDIA".
Best broker for tax optimization for non US resident?
you know what ur talking about! i myself own some of these stocks, esp reits, as you said some had a hard time, like suntec and indonesian reits....
Are you purchasing these through a foreign broker?
Great and educational. How does one choose shares in HK and Singapore thru Charles Schwab
i dunno, im looking at these and the FTSE can beat these options easily. HSBC is a well known big bank and pays 7%. Ive never heard of any of these. BATS pays 10% and has good cover.
I can't find Happle or Johnny Matheson. Please tell me what their ticker symbol is. Thank you!
Jardine Matheson is on the London Stock exchange (JARB, JARJ, or JAR) and on the Singapore stock exchange under J36. Keppel Ltd. Is on Singapore exchange under BN4.
@@Avarua59Thank you very much! 😊
Great video, enjoyed the topics, very interested in finding out more about Asian stocks

What are the tickers for the mentioned stocks?
Why not UBS MSCI Singapore UCITS ETF??
What brokerages?
I've only heard him talk about banks
tiger brokers sg and moomoo
Japan currency went down like a rocket and if you invested in that market def you had a loss ...why dont you talk about this?
Japanease companies which export actually benefit from fslling yen. You can also invest in currency hedged etfs
Which brokerage do you use?
what could be my safest buys with $100k to outperform the market ?
I love my BYD stock. Amazing company. Expanding to north, central and south america. Love it.
Hasn’t done much in over a year.
@@Akho21570 I purchased them in 2010. It has done A LOT for me. I purchased 200 for $5.80. Then I sold 100 in nov 2022 for approx. $33.00. I don't know about you, but 4x my profit. Plus I still have 100. Love this company and would love to buy a car if they come to canada, or import one from Mexico. Tax free
I live in Laos. I can see lots of potential but also lot of greed within the investors specially from China. The entire region is in the influence of China. However there is growth and huge potential!
At the end of the day though, as a Canadian resident I will have to pay tax on cap gain and dividends. And foreign dividends won’t benefit from the Canadian div rebate.
Unless I’m misunderstanding, purchasing these types of foreign investments, even from an offshore bank won’t save me taxes (Legally)?? Did I miss something?
You haven’t missed anything. It’s just that as a Canadian citizen you are not his target demographic. You’ll also notice he didn’t mention any brokerages because you generally need some kind of residency to open an account. Just buy VIDY if you want international exposure to dividend payers.
@@modernpirate good tip, thanks
I recently bought a Hong Kong etf but can’t but the company directly with my brokerage. Need to change brokerage with different money that makes it easier to buy out of country stocks.
try tiger brokers singapore
I invest for cash flow, not capital gains.
Me too buddy
Whays a good broker easily to open remotely
Malaysia REITs have been performing really not well. Hope they get their things together and start moving up - some of them are battered since COVID days. A really good thing for MY is 0% capital gains and dividend tax!
Buy ETH etf in Hong Kong before it comes to the States. Front run it.
Do you invest in india?
stocks everywhere.. might as well call him Mr Worldwide
A ruling is making men return to Ukraine if they need to replace their passports - but then they risk being drafted into the army. So Ukrainians living abroad for decades have to fly back to their country if their pass expires. Maybe do a video about that and importance of diversification.
There are numerous number of videos regarding the importance of country risk diversification, feel free to browse the channel.
Speaking of the Ukrainian passports being unable to get renewed, I’m curious whether your current country of residence offers any easy opportunities to get a local citizenship? I’m afraid the war won’t end soon
Also, can you and do you buy US treasury bills for income?
Thoughts on investing in Turkey?
Poor birds … leave them alone … they didn’t do you any harm … go vegan! 😜
Can MM2H deposits be invested in stocks or is it only allowed in a savings account?
I have the same question. Also, does Malaysia have Treasury bills and bonds similar to the US? They're a good source of fixed income.
More on South Korea citizenship please!
Is nomad capitalist the same as that as Mr Nick Sleep a part of?
its probbaly better to encourage the general public to just buy ETFs instead. Unless you live & breath stocks let an expert make the decisions
Can someone recommend an Asian broker we can use to buy Asian stocks ??
she's mostly on Telegrams, using the username
Fxtrebat19 💯 ..that's it
If your dividends don't pay more than the monetary inflation of the currency (which has historically been ~6% for the USD), then the dividend by itself cannot justify buying the stock. Very few stocks pay dividends like this. Obviously, if two stocks have the same price appreciation, but one pays dividends and the other doesn't, then the dividend stock is better. But if you are actually gaining in purchasing power, and your dividend is less than 6% USD, then you are gaining in purchasing power through the asset price appreciation, and not the dividend.
Having honest money is the foundation of all large-scale economic activity between strangers, and we don't have this foundation right now. That's why the world is going to H3ll. It's also why all of my excess cash is in crypto and precious metals. I'm not a millionaire yet, but if crypto keeps doing what it has been doing, then I will be.
I don't think having stocks. Any where outside the US, it's been that way since around 1945.
US Stocks are unsecured credit.
May I ask why. Most my stuff is in the U.S but I don’t want to diversify outsid the U.S.
Yen is Y158$ now. Chinese economy is shrinking and people awareness of that country mess is arising. US debt is ski-rocketing and a crisis is coming. So the Asia big partner is going to loose its buying power. I don’t see investing more than 2 % in Asia as a good move.
Do you know the best news source to follow Asian market? Nikkei seems to be the only good one and have an English podcast that’s weekly

I want to buy some Indonesian stocks but its not easy to do
If you’re just now talking about it publicly… its too late
Nothing in India?
He covered Indian funds in other videos. It is more difficult to buy Indian shares as a non-resident.
As a Korean, I would never buy Korean stocks.
@@acohen100 Korea's financial system is over leveraged due to the real estate bubble, and it has a currency risk. We also have problem with low birth rate , super high taxes, corrupt government, and an invasive tax agency. 11.2 pe seems too high it should be more like 8.

Australian stocks? Aren’t some of these undervalued? - for example Macmahon Holdings (ASX:MAH)?
It’s ok to invest in US stocks before the national debts defaulted. That may happen in 6 to 15 years.
Asia yes China no.
Most of these stocks can only be bought outside the U.S. so there's no access to them for humble folks like me. The ADR version (foreign stocks listed in NYSE) of the stocks are easier to buy but you pay 30% dividend tax. So once again this video is for 6 or 7 figures rich entrepreneurs or crypto nerds.

There's a reason the US market is the best game in town. Asian markets are not trustworthy.
