When you have Golden Eye, Altair, Thane, 007, Solid Snake, Ezio, G'mork, Agent 47, Sam Fisher, Daud, Corvo and Jin Sakai on your team
It would be very difficult to get a group photo though, such a shame.

Each sydb is becoming more and more harder for legend maybe this shows that people are actually getting good at the game because of legend.
I´m fairly certain this is the case.
He mentioned in a previous vid that he no longer gets any Easy campaigne saves.
For which he probably is at fault since he shows us how to get rid of enemies effectively.

I facepalmed
every time I see a siege battle in this game I feel sad, its a huge mix of terrible designed fortifications, with weak towers and easy to take walls. I think they were so worried about making assaults a more interesting option than long sieges that they turned it into normal battles with obstacles.
And AI doesn't even know what to do, their units won't move from the wall and get anhiliated by arty spam. it's probable the worst designed aspect of total war warhammer and one of the most common types of battles.
@@Extraordinarylurker Legend always says its useless to defend the walls unless its T5 skaven, and he is right. the only reason he did it now is because he had single entity units to activate the towers that wouldn't get obliterated as soon as he lost the walls, if the enemy had artillery it would be even worse.
The towers are NOT weak, and I fail to see how strong towers would make the sieges better- quite the opposite, in fact. I agree with the rest though.
@@mickethegoblin7167 the problem with siege battles is a mix of many different things, fixing one thing won't fix the whole thing, it may even make it worse. but making towers stronger will at least give you a reason to hold the walls... at least until you can't hit the enemy anymore and its better to bail and go back to defending choke points.
@@danilooliveira6580 well it's always worth defending them for a bit since it's free damage. That's what he usually does, hold the towers until you get hurt then defend the key points

This is why when playing DE in vortex I always keep a fully manned Black Ark either nearby or garrisoned in the capital whenever I do any rituals.

So i was wondering. You keep mentioning these small tips about how various units perform in different unit scales. How bout a video about this? The pros and cons of different unit scales..... Like why, if you're gonna spam necrofex, small unit scale will benefit you... And end it with some examples like this may be...

Single entities are better on smaller unit scale because their damage didn't decrease. Playing on anything smaller than large makes single entities and magic imbalanced. There's not a whole more to it.
I was screaming at the screen at those skaven at Legend's back line emptying their ammo. It was so frustrating, my god.

This reminds me of a co-op game I played with my friend on Lokhir Felheart.
I had Lokhir and an immortal Assassin hero, the rest of my entire army was dead and I got attacked by 3 half stack lizardmen armies back to back during a single turn.
Lokhir would take a toughness potion and run into their infantry while my friend would use the assassin to kill their lord after taking a healing potion.
We did that 3 times in a row in a single end turn.
Later on that assassin got the satchel of toughness potions for even more healing.
Thanks for the vids Legend, had my very own disaster battle as CoP vs Avelorn and Alarielle had the sword of Khaine. I ambushed her, but it took 9 attempts to beat that fight, and she 1v8’d my units and tore up my guys with just one cast of that madness of khaine spell, lots of my guys were hurt but we did beat her.. 😉

I think the assassins could have used up their ammo more before going out, which should have helped quite a bit
I only use khainite assassins for that skill that increases loyalty

You don't even need them for that, once you hit a tech threshold every lord/hero over 10 I believe has a chance on levelup to yield a loyalty follower. It's really hard to actually rebel with your chosen lords past the midgame because of this outside of the Hag Graef faction
Dark Elf loyalty isn't really an issue, in countless DE campaigns I've had probably 2 defections.

Couldn't you have kept half the assassins out of the fight at first? The main reason to have the assassin frontline was to blob up enemies for firestorm - that would have worked just as well with 5 assassins instead of 10. Then once the first batch is almost spent, send them to the back, let them use up their ammo, and move in with the second batch to rinse and repeat.
Learning from Legend:
Just yesterday I fought a field battle against a similar Unknown Clan skaven spam (final ritual, only very hard though). I luckily had Hellebron, a Master and a Death Sorceress on flying mounts, and the enemy brought missile units late in their reinforcement order (like here). Just the two flyers bunched the enemy up enough that I got close on 1500 kills with the Sorceress after all was said and done.

It really sucks that Nagarond can’t get upgraded towers

T Rev i don’t really leave them sat there to defend, they’re very mobile and if you’re smart with your campaign movement you won’t be getting back doored while your armies are away

Spells!
I used an army made mostly from assassins with great effect in my Lord Skrolk campaign.
An Eshin sorcerer and a Warlock Engineer for magic and additional reach on the strategy map.
They went HAM on anything they came across.
Why do Stormvermin always seem to be so much better when the AI controls them? I shouldn´t place them in front of Ratling team i guess.
Skaven are not DE lol
Stormvermin are melee infantry, and the AI always gets better buffs to melee than the player, especially on higher difficulties (some of the buffs are in fact because of the difficulty settings). Placing them directly in front of a Ratling team probably didn't help though, hahaha XD

As far as i understood it, especially AI is very CPU straining.
@Deathsdayoff person About the Lords, i would like it if they get their skillpoint reset when you confed, so you can distribute them yourself.
There is a mod that does that, but i would like it to be part of the base game.

How is it fake? the amount of Assassins in Naggarond is clearly there to boost slave income. No different than mage spamming the high elves for Entrepreneur

What does he mean when he keeps mentioning “small unit scale”? He has said it in several of his videos
It is a game setting that reduces the amount of models in a unit to increase performance.
For example, your average unit x may have 100 models normally, but on small unit scale it only has 40.
There are some mods allowing you to lower the number of models in each unit through the whole game, thus reducing the health amount. Damage per model stays the same, however.
This implies that magic and some units (such as artillery, single monsters, lords and heros ...) become much more effective
There are a couple different unit scales in the graphical options menu. This affect how big the units are it can be a difference of one unit of for example footman being 15 or 50 people large. This setting does not only affect performance but also the balance of the game. You can see it very well with magic. So it is recommended to play at the large or extreme unit scale as the game is based around does.
It's a graphics option that changes how many entities are in each unit (amongst other things). It greatly improves performance on lower settings (small being ... well ... the smallest). Downside is smaller unit scales are really imbalanced due to many things not scaling with unit size. Breath attacks, magic, artillery, single entity monsters, healing (just to mention a few) are all vastly too powerful on lower unit scale.
Rule of thumb is to use the largest unit size your pc can perform well at. Large unit size is fine (and something that the game is officially balanced around ... so they say), but Legend has stated quite often that ultra is where the game is the most balanced.
unit scale refers to the size of units or to the number of entities in one unit. i.e. a unit of spearmen on Ultra Unit-Scale has 120 Entities, but on Large it is only 90 or something like that. Unit-Scale can be changed in the options and is primarily a feature to make the game run better on slower PCs, because of less rendering etc. but as a side effect the balancing will be way off, since the game was initially balanced for Ultra-Unit-Scale by the devs, I believe

Still having issues in “very hard” just beat “hard” mode recently.
I would like to issue a realtime messenger challenge to a game. Basically you can not change a units orders for a full two minutes after the lat order. The idea being to simulate the real world command and control problems of pre radio armies. Pick honest playerstoparticipate.
This is why I pause my battles with enemies keep my main armys close to ritual locations
Edit: all he needed was garrason for this fight because I battle similar army on legendary as Dark elves

Depends on how you define a "bug". Naggarond doesn't get upgraded towers regardless of tier. The end.

Dread knights are Meh. Cold one knights are in another tier of their own, they made Pre buff lions of chrace look like god tier units, like damn those dino Bois are such a joke. Low MA shit MD, horrible speed and mass, puny unit count, what even is their purpose in existing?

I fucking hate this map... Defending Naggarond is always a pain in the ass because they decided to put half the towers facing awkward directions. Khanite assassins are also kinda meh looks like its up to the lore of fire to save the day I do love a good pyromancer it is true.
Honestly you should refight this battle. This was barely a win and with so many assassins dead i call this a loss.
The submitter commented and said it did save his campaign so I consider it good enough lol.
He can easily replace those assassins with one turn's net income, and it's not even a priority at this point. The disaster is the horde of rats knocking on the door while no one else is home and that's basically been dealt with.
