Feeding bears and getting them habituated to humans presence is never a good plan and usually ends up in a tragedy.
Yet there's a guy here on Y.T who has bears come up onto his porch where he has bird food and he sits there filming them eating it.
Including mothers with cubs.
He thinks he knows them so they won't hurt him.
It's fine if you want to risk your own life, but what happens when the bears approach someone else who doesn't know them and doesn't have food for them ?
I hope an anonymous report makes them investigate and do something. Before someone gets hurt.
He removes any negative comments too.

I think the ammo is more important, as long as the gun is suitably powerful and a lot of people carry a 10mm in bear country.
Hardcast, heat hardened ammo is a must to penetrate their thick fur and hard fat layer. There are channels that discuss it and ones who tested various ammo and guns on a ballistics bear head. Kentucky Ballistics has done some interesting videos on it 😂👍
