      Hi Heather. Depression sucks. I really hope you've got support, don't keep it to yourself and that you're feeling much better really soon.
      It's not twisted to find true crime therapeutic. I suffer from several mental health issues including agoraphobia. That coupled with having no family means I spend all day every day alone (except for my two cats who are literally my lifeline). Because of this I spend many hours a day watching true crime, psychology and body language videos as well as reading and learning about things that interest me. I don't watch TV as it feels like time wasted and what could be more pertinent to being human than learning about how we behave?
      Have you seen any videos by "Put the shovel down"? She's a counsellor and does really good self care videos.
      If you know of any channels or online resources that you find helpful to your mental health I'd love some pointers. And if you want someone to chat with from across the pond in England (I'm assuming you're in america) I'm here if you'd like.
      Love and best wishes from Kerry in Kent UK 💖

    Another tragic story, poor Wilma and her daughter. What a strong woman she must be to be fighting for justice for a mother she never got to meet. You really do brilliant working bringing attention to cases that often slip through the cracks, and people know this and trust you with their loved ones cases. Sex work needs to be decriminalized so women / men who are sex workers can get the help and justice they need. Regulation is what we need. I shouldn’t have to worry that I’m gonna be stalked, beaten or killed because of my job.

    • @anathema2325

    • @LiliAquinas
      @LiliAquinas Před 3 lety +1

      @@anathema2325 keeping brothels and customers illegal, even when prostitution is legal, doesn't help the sex workers. If the whole industry were legally operated, the workers tested for STIs regularly, and customers required to show ID, and the establishment keeping records of who visited whom, the entire industry would be safer for all involved, but especially for the workers.
      I don't condone prostitution, abortion, abuse, and such, but I do care deeply about the people who are hurt and killed, in relation to such activities. If prostitution and abortion are legal, then people who need help are not afraid of being shunned, ridiculed, or even killed, when they seek help. If people who are abusive were allowed to seek out help, without fears of legal repercussions, as long as they are seeking help before causing injury to any other person, I think more abusers would be willing to seek the help they need. If there has been injury, there should definitely be repercussions, BUT the person should still receive the treatment they need, while paying their debt to society.

    • @anathema2325
      @anathema2325 Před 3 lety

      @@LiliAquinas keeping or making both sides legal has the exact same outcome as everything being illegal. Sextrafficking goes up becouse the police cant justify spending time on a buisness thats ostensibky legal. exploitation by brothelowners and landlords goes up becouse the zoning laws come in to play. customers who are violant will be let of becouse prosecuters dont like to go of on a he said, she said basis. There are plenty of places where prostitution has been legal for centuries, prostitutes and their families will still be regarded with riducule and disdain, unable to take out official loans or get into other lines of work. This isnt a legal matter. By the way i dont understand why you bring up abortion, this hasnt got anything to do with prostitution.
