I read the interviewer's line "I'll confess I haven't read all of it, it's a little on the longish side..." (the hardcover is all of 67 pages long!) as a little tip-o'-the-hat to the idea of bullshit right there.

I kinda think that if you apply the university professors saying, "publish or perish" to this book you end up with a sort of fuck you to the general status quo of putting out bullshit books just to make your department look good. I really liked the book.

The motivation of a bullshitter is to just say something that will benefit him/her regardless of its veracity. It's a completely self-serving mechanism. Sometimes it's just for the bullshitter to hear their own jaws flapping! Quite similar to a lot of university/college professors! LOL :-)
The difference between objective truth and objective false is very important for the religiously dogmatic, so no: as much as you may have seen a group in your cross-hairs to shoot at, I don’t believe that group would fall under this topic.
