  • Balintawak, a Filipino martial art known for its close-quarters combat techniques and emphasis on stick-fighting, can indeed be beneficial for improving hand speed. The repetitive drills and exercises in Balintawak help practitioners develop quick reflexes, coordination, and agility in their hand movements. Additionally, since Balintawak emphasizes the use of both hands, it trains practitioners to be ambidextrous and ensures that both hands are active and proficient in combat situations.
By regularly practicing Balintawak, practitioners can enhance their overall martial arts abilities, including hand speed, which is essential for effective striking, blocking, and counterattacking in various combat scenarios. However, it's important to note that while Balintawak can be effective for improving hand speed, it's just one of many martial arts that can help develop this attribute, and practitioners may benefit from exploring and integrating a variety of training methods to enhance their overall skill set.

i don't quite understand why you used the word "Wing Chun" to explain the system? Was it to make Wing Chun popular or debunk it? All we know is that Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto were sharing each other's arts together. 🙏
