Protip: Don't dig the tip of your brush in dried paint. It can bend the tip and ruin its ability to paint fine lines in the future. Instead, use the side of the brush and roll or swipe on the pans to get paint. It's best to prewet your pans so the paint softens and you can pick up a lot with little effort. If you're impatient like me, use a honey based paint like Sennelier, Maimeri Blu, or M Graham. Daniel Smith and Schminke also rewet quickly. Windsor and Newton from the tube tends not to rewet quickly unless you mix in some glycerin, ox gall, or honey yourself while the paint is fresh. (I haven't tried W&N pans.)

A hair dryer works in a pinch, just be sure to hold it farther back or use a diffuser or else the force of the air can splatter and spread the paint where you don’t want it.
