    Hello! I’m new to here! Just wanted to thank you both for producing this helpful video in addition to the others in balabac. Really appreciate the summary and how you explained exactly what we needed to know very succinctly and honestly. Also love how your video is not flashy and loud but it’s easy to concentrate on the place without all the loud music and special effects most other CZcamsrs do. Hope you’ll do a similar series about Bali and the island of Indonesia (if you’re planning to visit there) especially all the exotic locations like Komodo island etc so we can benefit from the information shared! Safe travels and it’s super touching and inspiring to see the love and concern and respect you both have for each other. 🎉❤ I’m a subscriber from now onwards! 😊

      Thanks so much for your kind words🙏 We really do appreciate when someone notices the structure of our videos 😍
      This is how we like to showcase the places that we visit, unfortunately it takes a lot longer to create this type of videos, compared to “daily vlogs”, but we are sure people who love this type of content / video format will come back to watch more videos 🥰
      Flashy and loud videos put us off too, it makes it less enjoyable to watch (but they are good for people who can’t pay attention to a single scene for too long)
      We do plan to visit Bali, never been there, but we are curious to see what is it that makes it so popular :)
      Thanks once again for the review!

      We also hope it will not be commercialised and throughout all our videos we always tell people to take care of the environment and sea life here. But having been there already, we also know that tourists are very important for the local community to keep the area safe and not revert back to its dark past.
      Also, the fact that the islands are all privately owned is a decisive factor, as it depends on what they do with their islands going forward.

Next time try the " Tao Expedition " between El Nido to Coron or Coron to El Nido for several days of which you will hop and sleep in a gorgeous and secluded islands every night. Every thing is inclusive and services are customer oriented. This experience is like you are a nomadic ( or Romaniac ) pirate sailing in the middle of an Ocean..

      That’s what we hope too! If you watch all of our Balabac series, we constantly remind people about protecting the environment and life around these islands, not to stress the sealife for some Instagram likes and so on.
      The people we encountered around the islands on the first day seemed very concerned about photos only. This applied everywhere in the Philippines, people are very caught up in their social media madness and forget to actually take a moment to breathe and feel the energy of the place they are visiting.

    Is it better to buy a dry bag directly there somewhere at the airport upon arrive rather than on Amazon, for ex? (I guess it's cheaper there) how much was the bag if I may ask and if it's solid there?
    Do you think it's possible to ask a tour guide to skip one island and spend more time on another instead if it's a private tour?

    I think foreigners should go and visit the secretary of tourism industry so that they would do something to make improvements, internet with starlink, foods pasta or meat, sanitation, toilet and garbage bin, electric power with solar to maintain cleanliness, but I think soon the situations will improve when catarman island will be developed...
    Those private boat tours aren't regulated yet with tourism secretary because of no time to visit the remote islands.
    those private agencies will be regulated by the tourism,
    There are more stunning magical beaches nearby aside from those islands. but isn't available yet for the tourist, maybe for safety purposes or guarded and secured by billionaires.
    some of the islands has crocodiles, habitat with turtles, birds, or sea snakes...
    Maybe soon balabac group of islands will be available to the tourist to enjoy,
    Balabac is like maldives of the Philippines...

    • @roamaniacs
      @roamaniacs  Před 11 měsíci

      Most of the islands are privately owned and you can visit only the ones that accept visitors against a small fee. Us personally are not looking for a resort experience, who wants that can go to Amanpulo or other similar places. Of course, the service can be improved on the current tours and this type of experience is not for everyone. We just hope the conditions will improve for locals eg. electricity
      Let’s see what happens in a few years 🤗

    • @angelosupsup3726
      @angelosupsup3726 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@roamaniacs Philippines laws can buy an islands just the rights but can't own the whole island specially those 25 eastmeant from shorelines.
      If catarman island will be developed everything nearby will improve such as internet, drinking water, electric and foods... specially cleanliness.
      But this I think can't be implemented that too soon cause of American bases nearby, it's protected from spy's, etc...but facilities and utilities will improve for sure...

    Breathtaking cinematography.... i just noticed that in some of your videos, you keep on mentioning Polynesia and some other islands in the pacific... not sure, but it puts me off.. just my take... i am not a fan of comparizon, especially when I know which one is better... really great videos though

    • @roamaniacs
      @roamaniacs  Před rokem

      Thanks so much for your feedback.
      We didn't compare the 2, we just said what it can remind you of.
      I think the Polynesia reference we are making is just a cultural thing: growing up in a country where international travel has only become more widely available after the year 2000, until then all of the white sand, palm trees, turquoise water images we have seen were from Bora Bora & co in Polynesia (which we haven't visited to be honest) or the Caribbean.
      We had no reference back then to any SouthEast Asian country, such as the Philippines. Also, there's an intentional part of making this reference and that is we are addressing an international public, that often times are also not very familiar with what the Philippines actually looks like. We appreciate that a lot of Filipinos are watching these videos and we couldn't be more grateful, but we also hope it can drive even a handful of external travellers into the country.
      To be fair, it's a bit far fetched to state "you know which is better" of the two. Such judgements are always subjective and are a matter of personal taste and feelings. Whilst we would 100% rather explore the Philippines for months instead of going for 2-3 weeks to Polynesia, we can't argue the history and importance of those islands in the Pacific and the native people there, who's migration was really significant for the world as we know it today (they were great sailors).
      What puts us off for example is when foreigner vloggers come to the Philippines and suddenly every single place they present is "the absolute best they have ever seen" and can't stop going on and on like this, knowing this will awaken the "pinoy pride" which will then in turn build a huge Filipino following :)
      We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the cinematography and hopefully you will decide to stick around! 🥰
