  • Thank you to all members of our Armed Forces; Army, Navy and Air Force, Veterans, Cadets, Essex Police, scouts and guides, members of public services and local charitable organisations who proudly took part in Brentwood’s Remembrance Sunday parade.
The parade was proudly led by the Brentwood Imperial Youth Band.
Thank you to the hundreds of people who lined the streets of Brentwood to show their respect and honour the fallen of the British Armed Forces involved in the two World Wars and all conflicts since.

Why are cops marching like troops?
    Cringe.

The police are a uniformed organisation. The same order would be expected of the fire brigade and prison officers if they were represented.

They are volunteer police cadets, a youth organisation like the ACF, ATC and SCC.
But the police do drill as part of their training, or at least they did when I joined in 1981.
It was to reinforce the fact that you were part of a disciplined service, to teach how to wear uniform correctly and to give bearing and presence.

Some dodgy marching going on there. You can forgive the cadets for that but those TA weekend warriors need to work on their drill.

I’m in the Airforce cadets 4 wing and this is probably not the worst I’ve seen there quite good everyone but there are some that where out of time but that’s really easy to do and inless your in the airforce or army don’t judge them because it is hard and takes time to learn like I’m in my second year of Australian Airforce Cadets and I still mess up a lot.

@OMG-Game-and-build like I said, you can forgive the cadets. Drill can be tough but keeping in step is basic.
