The biggest question I ask:
If Zoe was never there in the series, what would change?
Nothing. She does nothing except waste our time for a few episodes. She doesn’t push the main ships, or help find Hawkmoth. She contributes nothing. You don’t even have to watch her episodes, and everything in the show still makes sense.
Chloe indirectly helps Marinette become the new guardian.
Alya helps forward the love square and guides ladybug.
Master Fu helped teach Marinette.
Nino also pushes the love square.
Natalie hinders the holders, helping Hawk Moth by giving him the peacock, still pushing the plot.
I don’t hate Zoe because she replaced Chloe. I hate Zoe for being a waste of time.

Sometimes you give someone a chance and it feels like they try to change, but in the end of the day they come back to their old selves

Zoe’s backstory is explained in 30 seconds, and her entire arc is finished in 1-2 episodes. Then she fades away. Only to be used as a plot device. She has no meaningful way of changing the story. You could remove her entirely and maybe one thing would change about the plot? You can barely remember her name. Zoe is a good person, but not a good character. A forgettable character.

'you need to learn to control your anger chloe' - the woman who screamed at lila and got her akumatized , bullied kagami twice and got many more people akumatized out of anger and jealousy and never faced consequences. the whole reason chloe reverted back into her 'bad self' was because she got angry and jealous about adrien and kagami sitting together and so chose to take kagami to fight with her so she couldn't be with adrien instead of taking chloe, leading to chloe teaming up with hawk moth to protect her parents. that led to the miracle box being stolen and master fu pretty much dying. marinette is such a hypocrite.

The thing that bugs me is that they acknowledge that mari's stalker type actions are wrong but they are trying to excuse it by saying she had trauma or whatever. That is no reason to stalk or obsessive about them. It would have been okay if she said "I don't need a boy who is childhood friends with Chloe because I know he would hurt me" but saying "I should know everything about him,follow him blah blah blah" is just unreasonable and hurtful. They are making mari's character such a mess. Also one time they are that she doesn't have feelings for Adrian and the second she is giggling and going on dates with him. There is no development on how their affection towards each other developed. It's such a rush. And mari's trauma response was so random, they never showed any indiction that she has some trauma throughout the seasons. This season was basically all about plot armor as if the show wasn't bad enough.

@@michalelkin-bronner13 just because she has a different name than queen bee doesn't mean she's not getting replaced. after chloe stole the miracle box and did all of that other stuff zoe comes in. it's almost right after chloe goes back to her old ways, so I do think that she's replaced chloe. (including the fact that they made zoe her half-sister and the "nicer" version of her sister chloe)

I honestly like Zoe and Chloe. But. Even as someone who likes Zoe. She's definitely not the best character. Zoe to me is like white bread. It's delicious and always nice to have. But without layers of other foods to add variety. It'll feel like nothing.

You’ve already mentioned the obvious problems with Zoe, the Mary Sue type of characterization she’s given, being super nice to everyone, as well as only existing just to fill the void that Chloe left. But I wanted to mention something too, and this is just a small personal gripe I have about her character, nothing major, but why is her design so similar to Marinette’s. Like compare her face to Marinette’s and you’ll see what I’m taking about, they both have the same shaped eyes, and eye color, as well as a small nose, and lips, the lip color is different but you get what I mean. Heck, even the hairstyles aren’t that different from each other. It bothers me a lot, not only because she’s supposed to be Chloe’s half sister not Marinette’s, and yet somehow she looks more like Marinette’s twin or sister than she does Chloe. It’s also very lazy work from the designers, I mean even her outfit, looks kind of similar they both have the jacket over shirt, with the purse and the jeans combo. Like she literally looks like the blonde edgy version of Marinette. At least Chloe somewhat looked like her mother, Zoe doesn’t look related to them at all. I guess I just mention it because I want to know if I’m the only one that noticed this. Or is bothered by it. I mean, don’t get me wrong I do like some aspects of the design like her highlighted hair stripe, as well as the black leather jacket, it all looks very cool. But I can’t deny that she looks eerily similar to Marinette. I’m actually surprised that I’m the only one that noticed, but what do you think? Did you spot the similarities in their design?
I don't like zoe's design at all, especially her cheeks and haircut. She looks as if her character was made within 5 minutes (literally, even her "personality" proves that). Actually, she has one of the worst designs in MLB (alongside ladybug's costume, aspik and flairmidable). As vesperia, she looks much better but that doesn't save her. I like her haircut and that's the only positive thing I can say about her appearance
I still think the New York special would have been perfect to introduce her and learn more about her relationship with Jessica🦅. I don't think she's a bad character, but the start of her and the transition from her to Vesperia was very rushed, no character had ever received a Miraculous in her debut season. Many hate her for replacing Queen Bee, but honestly, little by little and with the last few chapters where she has appeared, Zoe has shown that she has her own background and she seems like a good character to me, but they should develop her past more, she has potential. and I think she's a relatable character, personally I did shortly after her debut, and I think the message that Zoe/Vesperia teaches is that she's just as oppressed as she's been oppressed in the past, that doesn't define her🐝.

OK FIRST OF ALL,
I cannot BELIVE Marinette has the AUDACITY to say that to Chloe when she herself continuously busied herself with being furious at Lila and almost ruined her own reputation when she could just do something called ‘ignoring her’! I mean, I get that it’s hard to ignore something so vile, but come on, Marinette’s not-so-secretly Ladybug and she’s faced so many things that are worse than Lila. For example, she’s had to face Shadow Moth getting his hands on all of the miraculous, she’s had to face the realisation that her stupidity got her INTO that mess, she’s had to face panic (lots of it) and she’s gotten through it all. But SOMEHOW she can’t ignore some attention-seeker that tells lies? I mean, WHAT IS THIS? Also, Marinette’s also tried to ruin Kagami’s day by purposefully doing everything she could to lose the Friendship Game, even though Kagami’s mother was like, the strictest person alive and Kagami never got to do anything fun.
In conclusion, Marinette’s rarely actually been able to control her OWN anger, yet she’s telling Chloe to do just that. (Mind the fact that Chloe never got to see her mother who didn’t even love her, whilst Marinette had an amazing mother who loved her very much. Chloe, as well as having everything handed to her on a gold platter, has MUCH more to herself than Marinette fails to see. What with her being LITERAL LADYBUG, you’d expect her to not judge people, but NOOOOO! In Marinette’s eyes, Chloe’s just a spoiled, snobby brat. Chloe is rude and arrogant, I’ll admit that. But she’s got more to her than just money and a puppet father.
Sorry for the long comment, but that’s how much I need to write to explain how much of a hypocrite Marinette is sometimes. :)

Now that you've explained it... I actually agree. For the longest time, I didn't like Chloe stans because of how actively ignorant they were about Chloe's toxic actions. But she WAS written that way and I felt like we needed to respect it since it wouldn't change either way... But you're right... Chloe is the only character in the show that felt like she actually had to work for and deserve the miraculous. If someone could actually view her that way which didn't even cross my mind, then they should have never erased her character arc because now it will feel like some sort of favouritism or nepotism Idk by Ladybug. Everyone needs to be in Marinette's friend group and then gets it handed over on a silver platter... While Chloe who worked for it, was rejected soo many times. I bet you if they removed the bully aspect of Chloe from Season 1, her actions of anger could actually be justified.
I also wish they gave Zoe more of an important role in season 4, like you said hinting at her and such. I even read a comment from another video saying thay Zoe and Chloe could still exist in the same universe, they could both be good people. Chloe could look at Zoe, her half sister as someone who takes the blame for all of Lila's lies because people see Zoe as an actress, giving Lila's lies solidity too... Because Lila would always get away by blaming Zoe. Then maybe Chloe will feel bad for her sister and hand HER the bee miraculous on occasion. That way we get a new queen bee in training while keeping the old changing Chloe. Win win. But we can't have nice things in miraculous I guess😂😂💔💔💔
They can share the Bee Miraculous together. That way, there will be a sisterly development of Chloe towards Zoe Lee.
That's actually pretty smart. Considering how Hawkmoth knows Chloe quite well and Chloe being known as Queen Bee, Zoe can act as her sort of body double on occasion
Chloe had been my favorite character ever since 2018, she's literally the one who pulled me most into the entire show itself, her being the Bee Miraculous Keeper was my favorite, she was my favorite hero alongside Alya as Rena Rough, but the fact that they took away her character development just proved me that the entire show itself has a very bad storyline, if your going to give someone a character development why would you take it out so suddenly? it makes no absolute sense, many kids as well hates Chloe for being Chloe but it had been explained many times that she is just misunderstood, her entire personality and attitude might be the worst in the entire show if Lila didn't exist but since Chloe can still understand basic behavior she can still be fixed, The entire Zoe appearing in the show is probably the weirdest thing to ever happen, the fact that they had to make an entire replacement of one of the most entertaining and interesting characters in the entire show with a basic and streotypical character who have lacks good writing is so disappointing

Honestly when Zoe first met Chloe she was being nice. Just in a Chloe way she was trying to make her “better” and teach her, her ways.
Chloe was being an accepting of Zoe, which is nice of her since for everyone she just doesn’t care. I know it didn’t really nice what Chloe’s doing but it’s nice if u think about how Chloe behaves with other characters.
I prefer Chloe’s suit more than Zoe’s bc it looks more like a bee, Zoe’s suit looked more like a wasp. The only thing I like out her suit and prefer more than Chloe’s is the yellow color. U might not notice the difference but Chloe’s suit is more of like a neon yellow and Zoe’s is a bit more orange in a way ig. Zoe’s suit color is closer to a bee then Chloe’s but overall Chloe’s suit is just better.
Zoe is honestly not like able, lovable, hateuable, or dislikeable tbh I could care less whether she was in the show or not.
For my opinion. Chloé is one of the best characters, I really like her and I don't apreciate her beaing repalced by a character who just pop from nowhere and I would love her to stay Queen-Bee but I saw some people hating on Marinette because of it I know her character got messed up these last two seasons she was awful to Cat noir/ Adrien and considering how much I love Adrien and cat noir I didn't like it olso the way she stalked him was just akward but the reason she gave the miraculous to Zoé was because she wanted to protect Cholé and thought that her sister would be a better holder of the bee miraculous and I think Zoé is a good character but not as intersting as Chloé.(this is only my opinion)

Zoe could have been an interesting character, but not introduced in this artificial way, it would almost look like a fanfiction character introduced in a series and who quickly becomes friends with the heroes but this time the fanfiction is written by the screenwriter! She is put forward a little for two episodes and then she goes back to the bottom with the other second knives in the shadows.

I heard that the producer/creator of Miraculous Ladybug made Chloe because she was based off of the creator's girlfriend or lover. And that her personality, voice, was based off of the creator's lover. Then when they broke up the creator just decided to throw away all of Chloe's good development and just maker her bad because his lover dumped him. But still, Chloe was a great character of the show.
I heard that Chloe is based upon the writer's school life bully. This explains his extreme hate for Chloe. He just doesn't want her to be good. That's so childish.

Shortly after, they introduced three New characters in the show who always wear Black, red and yellow and the og ranger Actors were fired, with the New characters inheriting their ranger powers. This felt like the exact same thing
I remember that. Everyone was big mad when Jason, Trini, and Zack got replaced. I was ready to throw hands. Aisha, Rocky, and Adam had to prove themselves. And they took two whole seasons to do it.

My problem with Zoe is the same with Luka. Yes, they're good people but not good characters. In fact, they're extremely boring. They don't have any depth at all. That's why Zoe should have been gone along with Luka, she shouldn't have been a supportive character in the first place.
I feel like she's just an excuse of Chloe's character development, in my opinion. They should have made Marinette give her the bee miraculous when Audrey got akumatized into style queen, because the others were given with miraculouses when they're loved one were in danger or akumatized, and Chloe only found it and revealing her identity infront of all Paris. And if she had that character development kept, Zoe wouldn't exist because Chloe is a current bee miraculous holder

I sort of get it why they chose Chloe's stepsister to use the bee miraculous, but I mean I would have still picked someone else. If we had to stick with Zoe, then I would maybe like explain a little who Zoe is in the episode before we get introduced to Zoe. Her entrance was totally random and tbh I don't really think it was necessary to even have Zoe in the show. If Zoe was never there, it wouldn't really change anything in the plot.
To be honest, I don't like Zoe either. First of all, Chloe made the BEST Queen Bee ever. Zoe's Visperia has a terrible outfit and name. I like the fact that she's nice too but she is so boring with her one personality. I also have the same issue that she doesn't have a New York accent. Why doesn't she have that pink streak when she first came but then randomly got it soon after. Zoe is just too boring. I wouldn't have had an issue if she was a more fun character. Zoe needs to back off of Marinette because my girl belongs to Adrien. I know how you don't like Adrienette, Mariah, but I do. Adrien and Marinette both like each other. They may as well be dating already by the amount of romantic scenes that the makers have made. Anyways, going off topic here

Zoe superhero name came from Vespadae, a species of wasp. Wasps are the enemies of bees. The reason why Zoe is wasps was because she is stealing everything from Chloe, like how Wasps stole the homes, food and honey of the bee.
I feel like the bee miraculous was made for Chloe. Like, it fit her color scheme, her name matched her personality, and the bee was a good representation of her. Zoe on the other hand...the only thing I can think of is that she has hexagons on her shirt.
Marionette is such a hypocrite saying Chloe can’t be queen bee anymore cause her identity but then in miracle queen we see every one identity revealed yet marinette says nothing and now hawk moth who they are.

If that was the reason she didn’t give Chloe the bee miraculous she wouldn’t have given Chloe back the bee in Malidiktator or in Miraculor. In fact, Marinette down right says that the reason why she can’t give Chloe the bee anymore is because of the her identity being known to Hawkmoth.
Do I think there’s more to this, yes. But the train thing didn’t stop Marinette from trusting Chloe with the bee miraculous again.
I completely agree with you. Zoe, yeah, she is a good person, but she isn't a good character. Honestly would have had Chloe have a better character development than have Zoe come and replace her for absoloutely no reason.

I feel sad about Zoe. I love her for her potential, just like the rest of this show. I think if they had foreshadowed Zoe’s existence properly, Zoe could have been a great catalyst for character development in people like Andre. She could have been a great pet the dog character for Chloe. Like you said, by Chloe standards she was very nice to Zoe. They could have used her to further Chloe’s character development by giving her someone she saw as more of an equal who was also a good person. Instead they stuck her with Lila which I hate. And I don’t think Zoe should have ever been involved with the bee miraculous. That’s Chloe’s job. I think she had great potential to shake up the status quo and develop Chloe into a better person and they just used her to replace Chloe instead.
Exactly, Zoe is literally just an excuse. Nothing else. I like Zoe, but honestly, she's just there to fill in the gaps between the characters.
If Marinette chooses Chloe, maybe Chloe and Marinette will become friends, and Chloe's redemption will be complete. The unruly Chloe will really change or be the first to hold the pollen, because if Marinette and Chloe open their hearts, and Marynett may know, Chloe was the first to break free from the hawk moth without any encouragement. Just like telling Arya her true identity, Chloe knows that LadyBug is Marinette and asks Marinette to give her a chance to correct herself or ask her how to change (or because she can't accept that her idol is Marinette and Marinette knows that Chloe has been bullying her, but is still willing to give her a chance to think she's sorry for Ladybug/Marinette 's collapse to cry, of course, a kind-hearted girl like Marinette will comfort Chloe)

Miraculous has always had bad writing either way. I like Zoè but she hasn't really impacted the plot much at all and is basically a self insert character, we could easily replace the stuff she has done with Chloè's actions anyways, like someone plewse re write miraculous for the love of god.
Zoe was honestly just so random. They could’ve added any other important character, but decided to add a character that is basically irrelevant to the series? Yeah she did get a miraculous but that’s about it. They could’ve added a new character to push the story further, like felix for example but nahhh…

Zoe should been Chloe's cousin. The whole half sister plot is dumb how she just appears out of nowhere. Like how are they the same age with the same mom? Did the mom cheat on Andre? Is the mom divorced? Was Zoe's dad married to the mom brfore Andre?

Bc chloe revealed her idenety chloe coudnt be queen bee again, even tho it was for safety chloe still was left heartbroken. ladybug told her a million times she will never be queen bee again bc hawkmoth would use that information to aqumataise chloes loved ones, but chloe still said "i know u will give me back my miraculous some day" maybe not in these words but thats what she meant. Even tho she said "i understand" ig she didint understand completly bc at the end of season 3 she took hawkmoths side, but i dont blame her Completely bc it was ladybugs fault on her obbsesion with adrien. She chose to get kagami over chloe even tho hawkmoth knew kagami was a superhero (i forgot her name) so yeah thag was ladybugs fault too. After that chloe still bullys people. Then comes in zoe the girl who moved from new york bc she was also bullied like marinette. Know i like zoe, shes a good character but i dont like the fact that she was brought in this show just to replace queen bee. But the thing i do like abaut her is that we know chloe threatend zoe to get her send back to new york and when she finally stood up to her was when she was bullying marinette. Hear me out, Chloe's mom cheated on her dad and left because at that time he wasn't rich ( completely not caring that she has a Daughter).
Her father left with heartbreak, doesn't care for her (the person he has a job to care for) and instead thrive to be rich to win his (cheating) ex-wife's heart (instead of his Daughter's happiness) and disregards that she needs him emotionally.
She grows up seeing news about her mother living her best life until she finally comes back. Only to come back with a daughter, Zoe, who she clearly shows that she loves and cares for her with her flaws ,and yet it's hard to remember Chloe's name?
In Chloe's pov,
her mother left and her father didn't care about her emotionally for her mother.
Her mother comes back with her now known step-sister ho is a couple years younger than her, doesn't that mean she left for Zoe.
She looses her Miraculous and new found friend (her qami) "I honestly don't know how to spell it" only for Zoe to have them "And she could clearly tell its her with that one line she said".
Her father welcomes Zoe with open arms always wanting to know how she is, which is something he never did for Chloe.
Then doesn't that mean that all she's been through was for Zoe.
This is honestly my opinion about this whole family thing.
Other than that Zoe should be or is meant to be a wasp not bee. ⚠️SPOILER ⚠️Honestly after the whole restoring the miraculous temple episode ⚠️END SPOILER⚠️ Zoe should have gotten a Wasp miraculous.

I feel like a good way to make her sudden appearance less we’ll sudden and better written would have been for Adrien to immediately start talking to her and take her under his wing. Maybe get rid of her and Chloe not meeting before too. That way it would be a less forced way to introduce her to the story and the friend group while making us care about her more simply because Adrien cares for her. Just my thoughts and I totally agree with everything you’ve said.

But while I still really dislike Zoe- it's not a hate anymore- I don't despise her, more so just the reason she was created in the first place.
I think Zoe could've actually been a cool fleshed out character if her soul purpose wasn't supposed to be Chloe's counterpart-

Honestly, I’ve never liked zoe. When I first heard chloe was being replaced, I instantly knew I was gonna hate zoe. Why? Because when cartoons create replacements to the ‘hate’ characters, its always the angel depictions of them with all the qualities and kindness the old never had. It’s a strategy to gaslight the old character and bring their flaws and weaknesses to light, also contrasting on how good the replacement is from the other character. The identity issue was one of the first things I’d spotted when I rewatched the season. I thought it was so hypocritical on how chloe gets her miraculous removed while the others get to keep theirs. It’s completely unfair, and the only two reasons lb did this was because 1) LB is a HYPOCRITE and 2) she thought her ‘enemy’ (not thinking of her as a superhero) would get in the way of every mission. And she’d probably think this because of that one mess she made with the underground train or because she keeps begging for the miraculous ,WHICH IS RIGHTFULLY HERS, while lb keeps ignoring her requests or focussing on other heroes that didn’t screw up on their FIRST TRY. I don't understand why Thomas said that Chloe joined Hawk Moth for strength. If Chloe joined Hawk Moth for strength, then she shouldn't have rejected Hawk Moth because she "firmly believes that ladybug needs me." I think Chloe is obviously because she always expected ladybug to need her. Didn't you say in season 2 that Chloe wanted to leave Paris because she had no friends and was useless? But Ladybug gave himself hope and said that Chloe could be a useful person. Chloe was obviously blackened by disappointment with ladybug. Only Chloe always believed that ladybug needed him, not to mention that Chloe had been disturbed by both Hawk Moth. Both of them made attractive offers for the first time, but Chloe refused one by one, because he did not want LadyBug to be disappointed in himself and be held to the peak by his idol. In the end, he was pushed into the abyss by the person he loved most, which was not only disappointment but despair.

FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS
When I first met Chloe, I didn't like the way she was too mean but when season 2 came out, I felt like I misjudged her. And I saw a lot in the gacha fandom already considered Chloe as a female version of Bakugo but more nicer, it made me happy, but then I almost cried when hearing that Chloe is no longer the bee miraculous holder but I said "It's for the best" until Zoe was introduced. We never heard about her, we had no warnings, literally no one told me she was coming and Marinette befriending Zoe to the point of giving her phone number was off. Then like about 1 or 2 episodes.....WHAM! Zoe is the bee miraculous holder after the episode she was akumatized. I was like WHAT.......!? LIKE HOW THE HECK! Since when did Marinette ever give the miraculous to a rando she never met? First Zoe's costume was like a terrible fanart no 12 year old ever wanted to work on. I hate the boots and how there is too much black. I don't hate Zoe but she could be better. Like just because a character is good doesn't mean their a good character. Frollo is beyond redeemable but he is an amazing character so yeah. I love her design but those outfits are not the outfits I see a girl from New York wear. She looks like a hipster or a hippie than a human. And she's too boring and not fun. You explained a lot of things about Zoe but I'll add my two cents:
Her design drives me mad. It's pretty but it doesn't fit the theme at all.
Let me explain:
Marinette has pink/white/black clothes because she's ladybug (red mixed with white makes pink) and she has flowers on her shirt because we kinda associate ladybugs with them.
Adrien has a white shirt over a black T-shirt with small stripes because he has to hide who he truly is (cat noir, his feelings etc.) and his hair is messy to show he is actually a kid who wants to be messy but can't (showed by neat clothes)
Luka and Juleka have color schemes associated with music and calmness
Chloe has a lot of bee colors in her design which also shows us how she was supposed to end up. Most of us are distant towards bees at first because we're afraid they'll hurt us but later we learn to love them (her character development in s2)

Chloe’s character development was one of the best things in the series, I mean it always goes by the same format, Marinette and Adrien are in class, someone gets heartbroken or bullied, Hawkmoth Akumatizes them, and Ladybug and cat noir transform and defeats hawkmoth, and then the episode ends with everyone full of happiness and glee. With each episode Chloe gets her Miraculous, however, she grows as a character. But now she has no motivation because Zoe took it away from her
