Im playing ATM9 with my cousin and your series has been a god send. This is the first time we've played modded so we were lost, but watching you to get an idea of what we should be looking into is very helpful.
His knowledge of modded minecraft is amazing and he is my go to for it.
Remember to update the modpackj! The recent update adds a lot of cool questlines/chapters :)
I'm glad I caught this series pretty early and don't have to do catch up. That and you keep your videos relatively short so it's a delight when I get the notification that you upload.

You can use a sophisticated backpack with a pickup and tank module to pick up items and xp at the mobfarm
In my experience, that is also wayyyy faster than an absorption hopper
You should also be able to pipe into the xp crystal from the backpack

the exploding chicken mechanic is hella funny
I'd highly suggest you mark down where you find GT veins, whether through writing down coordinates or using waypoints or whatever you want to do, knowing where they are is extremely useful and I think will majorly help in getting huge amounts of a certain ore.
Additionally, GT ores found in the nether/end give DOUBLE the items!
And for those that want to learn GT, each ore can have many useful byproducts from ore processing, for example you can get tin and nickel also from iron ore.

Mystical agriculture is one of the most powerful mods...you don't really need much power, you can get all resources grown infinitly... And the armor and weapons are so powerful when fully upgraded, that they can carry you until you get the allthemodium ore...

How did you make the black concrete for the exp crystal?? I dont recall seeing you make any of the stuff necessary to make the powder into concrete.
Good question....I can't get my concrete powder to set into concrete, I've tried all the online guide options but I must be missing something obvious...if you figure it out do let me know....cheers.
I'm really grateful with your videos cause this type of modpack I really struggle and leave them unfinished, but your videos are kind of a god tutorial of it so keep with this great videos!
Building pretty is hard for me. i'm usually more function then style.
If i ever get to this pack, i'd probably rush for ars. the leap > bounce is just a cool way of traveling
Also, SS chests can have memmory so along with the void upgrade you can be really specif on what items you want to keep
Try building things to make all your devices pretty, and if you run out of space, instead of tearing stuff down, build new stuff somewhere else. So you will have a big messy world of crazy builds instead of a tiny world with one that keeps getting modified
Incredibly powerful? The enchanter from Eidolon, it starts all enchants at level 1 but you have a chance it rolls the enchant again and then you can go to level 2
and to 3 and 4 and so on
requires some Eidolon progression though
In this pack you don't need to go to the nether to get blaze powder. Just use some fel pumpkins from Botania. They only need bones, gunpowder, string, rotten flesh and pumpkins to make, and some iron bars to put them on.
The “Basic to X” upgrades in sophisticated storage all work off basic barrels. It’s the “X to Y” upgrades that require the barrel being an existing level. I just upgraded a bunch of vanilla barrels straight to gold in my world using them.
Love the series so much cant wait for more!
if i remember correctly, that sophisticated barrel has an xp tank upgrade, and along with the magnet upgrade, it should be able to pick up those xp orbs
Weirdly, it seems like only the backpacks get the tank upgrade, which is a shame.

You can actualy get blaze rods without entering nether. Just need to find Pyromancer Home from Iron's Spells and Books mod. There is a chest in that house usualy have 5-10 blaze rod.
ive never played all the mods before i started yesterday and this series has been my compass lol
with the mob farm and tinted glass ive noticed the phasing happens with mobs even without dreadful dirt. I usually double layer the glass that the mobs will be pushed to and it seems to stop them from clipping through. So hopefully it helps if you have any issues
For my version of this mod farm I love using create's wireless redstone links. If there's problems or upgrades needed in the farm having that wireless signal to turn off the masher and/or fans always comes in handy
tempad mod should be fun and op to look into, kind of a personal waypoint system

Minecolonies is so, so tedious. It’s a really neat concept and idk if it’s been updated extensively lately, but don’t you have to do a LOT of babysitting? It doesn’t make for the best CZcams content.
Sjin makes Minecolonies content that is entertaining!

So for the mob farm, if you connect an inverted redstone signal to the fans and mob grinder from the lamp wiring, you'd only need the one lever to control it all.

you dont esppcly need absorb. hopper for mobfarm i dont know what the meterials are but you can also use soph. backpacks as pulling magnet with tank upgrade will take the xp aswell
i believe exp can be suctioned through corners of blocks, so if you remove one of the stripped logs the exp should* be able to get through and be picked up, if the vacuum hopper is close enough.

For mobs spawning in blocks, you can double layer those blocks, 5x5 is the spawning area followed by a 7x7 ring of dark glass has the above-mentioned issue, so put a 9x9 dark glass ring outside of the 7x7 dark glass ring

With the mob farm, try using a backpack with a magnet upgrade, a stack upgrade, and a tank upgrade, then use a fluid pipe to put the EXP into the crystal. And then you can also use an item pipe to funnel items into a barrel. But a mob farm with spawners would give you much more loot, and EXP. With a bit of grind you can also upgrade the spawners a bit. It's an early midgame thing, but you can get there quickly. Also try using the Novice spellbook from Ars Nouveau to make the conjuring magelight spell, so you don't need torches. The projectile magelight and projectile break can make looting dungeons super easy. This is my advice for a great, and easy early-midgame.
Hey chosen, you should get into the Alchemistry mod. You will need two magma blocks to get started, but you can either find these in a ruined portal or make them from lava with an integrated dynamics drying basin. The mod lets you do lots of fancy chemistry stuff, but there are three main things that are really useful. The first is making diamonds from any source of carbon. It takes a stack of coal or charcoal to make one Diamond, and you have to make an intermediate product of Graphite powder from Gregtech. The second thing is creating new seeds and plants from organic materials, which is obviously VERY handy. Finally, the third really useful thing the mod lets you do is turn plants and dyes into various metals, though it does take quite a few steps, and you’ll end up throwing out a bunch of junk chemicals. For example, beetroots can become iron, green dye can become nickel, and cyan dye can become copper. There’s also lots of things that can give you sulfur if you ever need it.
You can also create ender pearls and blaze powder, but that requires you to consume netherrack or nether bricks. Thankfully, you can get nether bricks from normal bricks by haunting them with the create mod, so no nether trip is needed! (Assuming you found soul sand in a random structure somewhere. I found some in a meteor crater from Ad Astra)
I’m not at my computer at the moment, but I’m pretty sure you need to consume a few fish to create nether wart, and then nether wart makes it easy to make blaze powder. Also, nether rocks can give you zinc, gold, and a bunch of other miscellaneous stuff in trace amounts.
And a VERY important tip, you can craft four pistons for the price of one just by swapping the iron with aluminum!
After a little more digging, magenta dye is another way to get copper, yellow dye can give you lead, light gray can give you magnesium if you ever need it, and light blue can give you aluminum
I find, in these big kitchen sink modpacks, I still usually just mess with the same ol' mods I'm used to. I def need to make it a point to branch out more. Is there a good/new modpack to 1.20 with a comprehensive quest book that walks you through using a large amount of mods? I know FTB University is a thing, but there latest it to 1.18 or 1.19, and they don't cover all 200-400+ mods.
There is a better way of sending a redstone signal that is wireless and that is using a redstone link from create. You can set a channel with it, set one to transmit and the other to receive on the other side and just put a lever in order to send the signal. It will save you a loooot of space if you are trying to do a compact build that doesnt allow you to use a bunch of redstone. You can also use it to turn on and off a apotheosis spawner if you use a comparator in it and then put a redstone link on it to turn it on and off. Very useful.
I would personally recommend upgrading your silent gear tools to crimson steel, which you can make from crinson iron, as well as adding simple apotheosis reforges and gems to all of your equipment. Also, I think it's really funny that the flesh biome is your favourite solely because you can step on the pus bubbles.

There's also something you can make to prevent your magnet working near your mob farm. It's so nice.

FYI you can wear Soph and Travelers backpack at the same time....just setup your keybinds also on the travels use the buttom left button to equip it...this will also give a sleeping bag
Any item you could possibly need can probably be found by exploring the overworld
Mob Grinding Utilities Tinted Glass is SO much easier to make than the Vanilla sort, which requires Amethyst.
You can use a backpack with a tank and magnet upgrade to pick up exp and then pipe it into the exp crystal
If you have enough diamonds you can upgrade the jetpack
Please if you wouldn't mind and it doesn't break anything, update to at least 2.28 or above since it adds a lot of the remaining quests and mods missing. Thank you, great series!

I noticed when you mine you ignore raw ore blocks is that intentional or no? Because those can be broken down into 9 raw ore which you can then smelt into the ingot of that ore you might also be able to use ore doubling stuff for those

Make a warp stone and a waystone for easy traveling home from dimensions

Emerald Tier is basically creative flight. You don't even need to upgrade your jetpack to the max tier for that.
Look for a book called book of knowledge an put it on your sword. Get lots of exp from mods you kill. Very good book.
You can also get a librarian in a farm an cycle his books for the Book of Knowledge.
Strange I have never had the spawn issue you are talking about. I have been using Mob Farming for years.

I found blazerods in a house close to a mangrove village. So i didnt even need to go to the nether to get blazerods :)
You could get a worse nether spawn. Imagine blaze spawning on all the surrounding land. Like all of it. I had to use the ars spell create land projectile to build a safe way....
I am a little confused. Would it not have been more simple and much more efficiant to just include that collection barrel for the mob farm into the original storage system with the other barrels? That way the items would be readily accessed from the single terminal? Or is there something stopping this?

Hey chosen! I tried this mob farm before and I only go eidolon reprised mobs spawning. I don’t get vanilla mobs spawning in the mob farm. Do you have any idea why this would be? I tried looking everywhere but since this pack is so new there’s almost no information other than you
