thx for that
Nice list thanks
You saying lol for the teams who arent here make this list so much better
76 could be the Cardinals dark red helmets with no face guard would be 52-53 home helmets, Bears had dark blue helmets with no face guard in 50-53, 38 might be Chicago Bears, 36 might be Lions silver hard shell helmet with no face guard puts it around 51-52 the same years the rams had the horns on their helmets, could also be 49ers they played in 1950-1953 in silver hard shell helmets with no face guard as well, now if the helmet is white then that would be the Cardinals and 1952 away helmets, 29 is the colts. best I can do.
The only 1 incredible panthers play is in the playoffs
i love the music NFL films uses for these videos , just makes the plays feel more epic.
So true!
I wish they had an official soundtrack 😭😭
As a giants fan, it's sad see both meadowlands miracles in the top 2 ;-;
There’s no way that the 2010 one is the greatest play in NFL history. That just sounds wrong. There has to be something better than that. Was it really that significant? The eagle lost in the first round that year. And #2 was more of an all time bad play than an all time great play.
@@GiantsFan1734 yeah, they are truly miracles, but I don't think they are top 10 "greatest plays in regular season history".
@@GiantsFan1734 - It basically knocked the Giants out of the playoffs and gave the Eagles the division title. And to blow a 31-10 lead at home in just over 7 minutes, in that fashion, was shocking. I do agree, probably not #1, but up there.
(Eagles fan here) I'd have to agree. DJack at #1...ehhhh. It was a great play, but not #1.
The top play should be something that has a mix of spectacle and awe, possibly leading to some new rule change, adding to the greatness of a particular player, while also providing some sort of significance to a team's regular season. Maybe record setting as well.
Jack Dempsey's 63 yard field goal is a top candidate. That 63 yarder was the record for so many years...you always looked at this in the records and thought, "who the hell is ever going to break, let alone tie, this record?"
I die inside every time
22:26 I don't care what anybody else says, this was the original Minneapolis Miracle.
17:10 is the original original Minneapolis miracle
It was SO insane live. Will never forget the feeling that day
As usual, Minnesota uses all its big plays in week 3 instead of games that actually matter
@@agreen182 Minneapolis miracle was in the playoffs duh
Jake B. Damn it’s called a joke
13:21 this play made the list and it was on the SNF game yesterday. Instant classic.
You kidding me? The Hawks were that close to winning? God damn it!
- a pissed off packer fan who is now just realizing that one foot would got his team home field atvantage
That game was bullshit, they should have called a passing interference on the play before this
even though there was a defensive PI
@Micah Shaw well you still lost
Larry Allen preventing a pick six against New Orleans deserves a spot amongst the greatest plays in history. A truly impressive feat.
Was that regular season? If so, not having that here is borderline criminal.
22:27 That's gotta be top 10 right there.
Gavin Vetter it was an absolutely effect throw and a great catch. Which is why it should be higher
Gavin Vetter I KNOW SO ANNOYING
These are all sorts of out of order, but there's waaaay too many factors. It's subjective af.
Damn, they did the Saints dirty showing the kick after at 26:05 😂😂 they even raised the NOOOO volume .
Sadly (as a Saints fan), you can't show the River City Relay without the missed kick.
@Alex Mercer probably
Alex Mercer Never thought about it, but it is, 100% the worst missed PAT
The pain in his voice leaves me to believe he better on the saints
12:25 my favorite all time play. Always admired Dante Hall’s footwork
The human joystick
The FuzzyMonkey damnit I wanted to say it
The 1st one was clean the 2nd had 2 blocks in the back.
Whatever happened to him? Just disappeared
Miracle at the meadowlands both at 1 and 2 I like that
Am Shrek yes especially that I’m an eagles fan
Fw Editzzz I’m a cowboys fan just I love those plays
Giants fan and I hope I never see another meadowlands miracle
Should have been reversed. The 1978 play should have been #1
I love how at 13:20 happened yesterday
Niners beast
Cody4turtle they losing div against seahawks
@@landonhodges894 No they have a better record than them and its playoffs smh
Cody4turtle ok then based on that ravens win Super Bowl chiefs lose afc championship and green bay loses nfc championship it’s not all record it was a 1 fucking yard difference
Me wondering where’s beast quake then I remember it’s top 100 plays regular season
I was thinking the same thing just up until I saw this comment. “Ohhhhhhh” moment commenced
That suck but I know your pain
Kolby343KO KO beast quack was in the playoffs
Quake
@@pwcszoom2749 are you capable of reading english lol
30:08 There is no comparison to the emotion of the announcer. Makes the play 10x better.
The football history is so amazing
Mhmm
19:51 is INSANE
He was cut right after that game because he did cocaine in that game aswell lol
Woozy Swoozy yeah that’s actually true
Woozy Swoozy at least his career ended with a bang
dragoniota that kicker was found to have taken crack at half time of that game lol 😂
Then Houston faced the packers in a game in the same season and they needed a kicker so they hired that same guy and I think that he got the game winning field goal but I'm not sure.
15:35 Surprisingly low considering its a top 15 run of all time and I'm a lions fan :c
DD50 the ordering of the plays was questionable, makes more sense as just a compilation than a list
I wouldn't really consider it a top 100 as in this is the better its it higher. More or less just a hey, here's 100 really amazing plays
DD50 lions nationnn
NFL Throwback always has the best music for their vids. Makes all the plays crazier!
I wish Gus Johnson was still doing NFL games.
He has much more fun doing college football
#94 was amazing, so I had to research it... That is a running back named Charlie Brown who played for the Saints in 1967 and 68. He only played 2 seasons and had a sum total of 16 yards rushing on 8 carries, 23 yards on 3 receptions, and 301 return yards for his whole career.
Steve Largents hit on Mike Harden should be on this list
The NFL should do a top 10 regular season comebacks video.
Eagles v Giants Miracle at the Meadowlands 2 wins that going away.
21pt deficit with 8min to go, end up winning in regulation on the only walk-off punt return in NFL history!
You should make a compilation of the top play of every year of the NFL ( or start at when you can find footage since it would be really hard to find footage from the 20s and 30s)
This 31 minute video felt like 5 minutes! Great stuff!
As an eagles fan I was WAITING for them to put those Miracles of the Meadowlands. I didn't expect them to be number 2 and 1!!! Although I'm pleased with that :D
#66 Can we take a second to admire Jerry Rice and his awesome blocking skills? His teammate had so much confidence in his blocking, he started celebrating before he scored because he knew he was gonna score!
Thanks NFL throwback
You may be my fouvourite youtube channel of all time
For people wondering why number 3 is important, it was the first game back in the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina. For a lot of people, it meant nothing, but for New Orleans, it meant so much to finally have a feeling of joy after the storm.
Gotta love the Cheferees on play 76
Most underrated comment I have ever seen.
Can we agree that Devin Hester is the greatest punt returner ever?
*returner
~_~
Amazing, Thank you.
And commentators always make the plays THAT much more enjoyable!
Love The NFL
25:50 they lost this game cuz they missed the PAT 🤣🤣
Many glorious moments since then
back when it was like from 17 yards.
Captain obvious
It really makes the play not as special.
@Oliver McCall bruh did u not see the whole play they did to get to the end zone?
6:07 #77 Wake Zone baby! I was at the game, that ending was thrilling, thanks for including it!
NFL throwback with the end of the year heat
#FlyEaglesFly on the last two plays! I love NFL Throwback!! ❤️❤️
Jerome Simpson's backflip for the TD?
Adam Fitzgerald yo facts tho that play was ridiculous
Frontflip
The thing that still amazes me after all these years is in the Holy Roller it is so obvious that Stabler THREW the ball forward. Despite what Al Davis would say about the NFL going after him, the Raiders of that era were the consistent recipients of that kind of officiating.
Glad to see Randall Cunningham included. My favorite Eagles quarterback of all time.
11:28 The GOAT KR play that started it all
13:20 once again Seattle learns nothing
i mean there was a defensive PI that wasnt called because the refs hate the seahawks
Would u have ran the ball from the 6 yard line?
Nice list.
Wow didn't expect that play to be number 1
#52 is the most boring call for an amazing play I've ever seen
Brent no 61
Yeah the announcer always sounds bored. He did the catch 2 where T.O made the clutch catch in the playoffs against the Packers and he sounded bored there. John Madden who was talking about the play sounded more excited than the guy who announced the play as it was live.
Brent Pat Sumerall. Listen to him call the game winning drive from the pats super bowl against the rams. Biggest upset in SB history at the time, young backup QB leading a go ahead drive (nobody knew he’d become who he is now obviously), 48 yard kick for the first walk off score in SB history
And pat sumerall sounds like he’s playing minesweeper on his laptop while the games going
You guys don’t even know what you were listening to.
There are top 10's all over this video: top ten plays you never heard of, top ten offensive deflections, top ten defensive deflections, top ten game winners, top ten mistakes that cost the game, and so many more
Glad to see Gleasons blocked punt so high. It meant so much to the whole city of New Orleans and was the start of the Brees/Payton era.
I saw it live, and remember the announcers just being quiet after for about a minute and letting the roar of the crowd say everything.
I’m a Bucs fan, but every time I watch that play I get chills.
I may even tear up a little…
~_~
Much Gratitude
It's almost criminal to not include the previous week's walk off pick 6 by Mike Brown @ #100. Those two plays belong together!
Can't believe the George Kittle run at the end of the saints 49ers game didn't make it. Actually changed the playoff picture. Thought it would be top 10.
I'm not even kidding when I say that the Dempsey field goal should not only be higher on the list, but the video itself is a national treasure and should be in the library of congress.
Plays with Steelers in them should be. D-Hop sled tip TD pass. Both Juju 97-yard tds. AB Helmet catch against the Titans. 75-Yard TD where Chris Conte got baptized. Le’Veon Bell Tip toe Receiving TD against the bengals 2017. Martavis Bryant flipping TD against the bengals. AB toe Tap catch to put us in Field Goal Range to win against the packers. AB Spencer Lanning punt return(kick to the face mask.) Zeke up the middle (2016). Joe Haden Pick against the pats. Immaculate Extension
#2 and #1 are both eagles miracles
Yeah I'm sure the person making this list is totally unbiased :D
21:18 The buffalo escape
Yeah always great to see my Bills make a top 100 video.........SMH
Wow. I was NOT expecting to the cremesicle Buccs on the good side of any of these
What was the name of that music track that is played for #52 thru #46 and what album is that from? I am trying to find it.
no larry allen? when he chased down player from standing position?
do a top 100 ints
A good announcer that's just as excited as the players makes a huge difference for me
14 would have been the New Orleans Miracle if it weren't for the missed PAT
#54 happened last night hahahaha. They probably had a video ready and made without that and they had to push a play off the list.
So now I'm curious what Play 101 is, lol!
You forgot the Jerome Simpson flip Touchdown.
Can someone tell me where I can find the extraordinary nfl films soundtrack that starts at 4:50
Back in the 80s their was no internet or CZcams. My friends and I put 100 bucks each in a pool and all picked fantasy teams. Then we'd watch the games and it would make watching that much more fun. Then Monday morning we'd go buy the newspaper and read the stats from every game to tally all our points. It was fun but at the time I didn't think it would become a real thing. We just did it for extra fun. We also couldn't watch replays and videos about the games. We watched Sportscenter Sunday night to actually see the highlights from the other games. The only game they usually televised back then was the Pat's game. I'm from New England. It's just crazy to me how hard it was back then to play fantasy football and to see highlights. Now you got CZcams, fb, and also the NFL network. Just wild how things changed so much.
You should do top 100 defensive plays of the regular season. Then we'll finally get some 85 Bears action. 😝 go Bears
jerome Simpson tochdown flip ?
"Jim Brown running over 3 part time milk men. Simply amazing." J.k 😂😂
9:11-9:12 The absolute most ridiculous video game move in NFL history.
No one:
New York Giants fans:
Wait, what? The OG Miracle at the Meadowlands (AKA The Fumble) is #2 and the Miracle at the New Meadowlands is #1?
Also, Victor Cruz's 99-yard TD reception didn't make the cut?
27:07. Holy cat piss
Randall 43 cat fish
Gee Nore cat piss is hilarious tho
lmao the Browns fan at 20:29
#55 is one of the many reasons why Larry Wilson is on the NFL's all-time team
Surprised no butt fumble in list.
That would be worst 100 plays
@@charliewoekel4998 top 1 worst play
#5 rip eli era the final manning in the NFL
Ivan Celedonio Eli and Peyton both have sons
GiantsFan1734 but their sons might not be into football ever though of that
@@kingbanzai9118 look up "Arch Manning", not Archie, but his grandson...don't be snippy to people, you're the one who doesn't know what he's talking about...
Rolling Stoneworks i know who arch manning is he is a college football qb
Football before the Super Bowl era looks awesome
Marino's fake spike has to be at LEAST top 40
"and Motley dauths his helmet to the crowd..." what a gentleman!
........................................dauths
Ow, where's the George Kittle's play against NO this year ?
That play was so overrated
Who knew the Browns had so many iconic moments?
I mean ty for #1 AND 2, but did I miss 14 seconds of McNabb??? That should of clearly been on this list, bc some of these were some basic ass plays from modern era lol
Greatest play in regular season NFL history the 70s Steve bartkowski to Alfred Jackson Hail Mary in 1978 the 80s Steve bartkowski to Billy White Shoes Johnson Hail Mary in 1983 and the early 90s Billy Joe Tolliver to Michael Haynes Hail Mary in 1991 game winning Drive Atlanta Falcons of all time Epic
The pass that created the term Hail Mary as far as football goes, Staubach to Pearson versus the Vikings in the PLAYOFFS...did I miss it on here??? That would be insane if that is not included!!!
the guy who made this was an eagles fan
Super play , really cool
Power game
That McCown pass was probably the highlight of his career
21:01 block in the back
2 isnt even good lmao just a terrible play by giants????
I'm an Eagles fan and agree, but plenty of these were just great historical moments etc
@Exyll I'm aware, so it's a terrible play by the giants. What is your point?
What's the NFL Films song at 29:50?
Number 86 was so epic.
27:14 This Randy Moss one handed catch
One of the Most overrated pllays ever
DeSean Jackson #1? Um, really?
He makes it look easy don't he?
MilkmanC Agreed. But not for the best play in NFL regular season history.
@@timtebowsleftarm5368 I'm biased but I would of taken this anywhere top 50 lol. This list is a bit meh all together anyways, but it's whoever's opinion i suppose
@Exyll Miracle at the Meadowlands in 1978 is a MUCH better pick for No. 1. Just like 2010, a game decider, and as unexpected a play as has ever happened in NFL history.
Y'all. I'm on 95. I can't imagine this list getting more dank when its that play. I can't...
Me: Plays Madden
My Brother Comes
Me: Let’s make a drive
My Brother: Wait, have you looked at the clock?
The Clock: 5 seconds remaining
Trust me the Giants will get their revenge on philly for everything they did
One day... we will avenge meadowlands
75 didn't seem amazing or anything. 😂
i AM 67 AND I REMEMBER 95% OF THESE PLAYS :)
I saw quite a few of these live, maybe 18. Brings back memories, a lot of them bad. I thought the order was weird. The best plays were in the middle. That Dante Hill punt return, the human joy stick, was sick.
I hate how everyone makes #62 out to be such an awesome play. He may have fooled the defensive line and linebackers, but Aaron Glenn (the CB) was in good coverage. The ball was just out of his reach. The me, its just a regular hurry up no-huddle play.
Dante Hall, or as I like to call him, the guy it was apparently legal to block everyone in the back for.
It's funny how calm the commentators were in the old black-and-white plays even tho some crazy stuff was happening lol
How in the world did Jerome Simpson's flip for the Bengals not make the top 100? That was one of the most athletic plays ever.
