*Buys a switch for every door in the house*
You might not need to. A single Switch can control up to 8 joycons. If you can set up 8 joycon R's on the doors, you can track the input from each camera separately and play the jingle via HD rumble.

Honestly, this has a lot of potential for creativity and fun for the family, but I think Nintendo should accommodate some of the Switch games for it to work AMAZING.

Yea, I could see little kids playing with this ...I don't know if most kids have the patience to make or build something like that .
I have heard that the piano takes about 4 hours to build and the robot takes 8 hours I don't see any kid taking that long to make it and if they do I don't see them playing it much. It has been shown be very easy to rip I know it is cardboard but they could have made it take a little punishment.
This is absolutely amazing!! It reminds me of the Mario Maker glory days and Flipnote days when so many creative and legitimately impressive inventions emerge!

I wouldn't be surprised if Labo is secretly a test by Nintendo to find the most talented designers/programmers to create future games for them. I wonder if any of these people will get contacted in the near future to work at their HQ in Kyoto.

I'll admit, I slightly doubted this when it was first announced, but after looking at videos and posts on other social media for the first weekend, it simply amazes me what people can create with a Switch and some cardboard. Can't wait to see a what people come up with later in the year.
I haven't been this impressed by the creativity of others using a toy since Lego Mindstorms was a thing. My personal favorites of the engineering creations were the ones that made use of unintended objects, like the lightgun and that hat toss game. They really showcase just how versatile the Labo technology is.

This is so incredible.
To be honest, I was pretty skeptical of Nintendo Labo when it was announced. It looked like a niche little activity that little kids would get, play with for a couple of days, and then everybody would just forget about it. However, after seeing what Labo can do, my hopes for the future of Labo have changed. It's really cool what people have managed to make using the garage and I'm eager to see what else will come of it.

It seems like Nintendo wants to get kids back into cardboard, just not for houses or ships.
I was looking forward to people pushing Labo and especially Toy-Con Garage to it's limits, so this puts a massive smile on my face.
The use of the Wii Zapper is a brilliant idea. What's more is that the Nintendo Labo could now be used as methods to make games for a "Virtual Console" or something of the like.
The fact that one can use their own cardboard to be innovative. This is beyond amazing.

I had an idea for the rc car. What about Labo battle bots? One idea for an attachment is a hinge of cardboard at the front, with a rubber band stretched out. If an extra joycon on the front vibrates, it releases the rubber band, flipping up the cardboard

I would assume that it involves the IR camera and some reflective crap that reacts to the lock, probably in some Rube Goldberg fashion.
After looking at the video again, I think I've figured it out, I think the IR camera is on the other side of the door, peering into the lock mechanism watching as it slides as the key turns, I don't think it used the reflective sticker if the lock are shiny enough,
Ozz Lee I only figured it was some Rube Goldberg thing because keys can dull, especially copper keys.
