@@zanemob1429 Yep the little quick jump breaks any amount of poise, to my knowledge it's the only attack in the game that does that even with the maxmium possible poise.
@@JB-xl2jc the worm head can stagger nearly everything in the game in one bit. Nothing takes more than 2

i had two super smoughs for first phase and then artorias for second phase :’)
Wow, that was oddly fitting. The Firesage was at the First Flame with a Large Ember. Randomizer can't line up much more than that for a flame theme

When I first did an enemy + item randomizer, I got 3 Gwyns at Burg, 2 Gwyns at the Parish bridge, 4 Kalameets in Catacombs, 3 Firesages in the first room of Archives, loads of Wall-Seaths destroying the framerate and the Blight Town swamp consisted of small and big Ornsteins. Even Undead Asylum started with a Super Ornstein boss fight, while I was getting sniped by another Super Ornstein from upstairs. And the Moonlight Butterfly being Gaping Dragon was a nightmare. Then i went on NG+ with a new seed and now the Blight Town's respawning mosquitoes were Manuses. And don't get me started on the disaster I saw at the Painted World's Phalanx. 30% boss rate without Gwyn nerfs is a nightmare. NG+2 has been pretty chill so far despite the Floor-Manus at the Undead Asylum and the Gwyn army at the Painted World.
I want so desperately to do runs like this… I don’t have Dark Souls on PC… I can’t either. Plus idk how to deal with mods. Completely clueless…
@@zanemob1429 The mods themselves have pretty good guides on how to set them up, and you can find some from youtube as well. Just remember that only PTDE won't ban you for using mods, while Remastered will so it needs to be played offline.

@@OKOK-bs6jk They did make NG pretty interesting since I had to rely on unupgraded gear for a long while before finally getting some good gear. Ended up making a strength build. NG+ and onwards are more about just finding the key items, since I got all of the tools I need on NG.
Sounds like that one insane guy who did an all Gwyn run, I can't imagine the pain and suffering this must have inflicted upon your mental health.

I reckon the purple rock was a result of missing textures because that enemy wasn't on its usual map.
The rocks are all big purple grapes. It's just awfully dark in blighttown
I think Nito being unable to use his sword dance is a similar issue. The blade that appears is probably an NPC rather than a projectile and the DS engine cannot spontaneously generate NPCs, instead they need to already be on the current map (i.e. under the floor)

I thought it was maybe because the real ground is so much lower for the bed of chaos boos room (for the floor to break off and fall), and the sword dance pillars don’t come high enough to be seen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@FFKonoko He did. About 20 seconds later he gets 6,000 souls out of nowhere. Boss soul drops in DS1 are notoriously slow.

Shame, I'd been hoping for Ceaseless, but I assume that was him at Capra demon. Just instantly died once you were in update distance or something because he either wasn't in his own arena or because he was just too big.
Wither him, or the ashlake hydra, they are the two with weird arena-based script, beside seath invulnerability, but that and the centipede demons lava immunity are just added on top

The last being firesage demon was something poetic
For this age of monster and monstrous drops is at end, and a new lord is to be burnt in the flame
the bosses that can be plunge attacked have to be replaced by others that can be plunge attacked. that is a good feature.

Kalameet being in the asylum is like such a high fantasy thing. Like a dragon guarding a ruined castle sort of thing. It's actually kind of fitting and cool to see him down there.

12:25 It's probably the hidden fifth king that the normal boss links the other kings to because the boss health bar can only read one entity. In normal gameplay, it takes linked damage from the continually spawning kings with less health. I wonder if the game already gave it the same AI as the weaker kings, or if the mod had to do that itself.
The bossfight can spawn up to ELEVEN king, so the 5th king is no more special than the other ones (limitbreaker made a video on this)

Is it possible to block Manus' "wreck your shit" combo with a tower shield? I feel like that's one of them attacks designed to crush you no matter what if you get caught.
@@themightymcb7310 it's a two hit combo and this is ds1, back before fromsoft made dodge rolls even more OP than they already were and shields were legitimately useful. You could block a lot of heavy attacks before they nerfed sheilds into the ground for no fucking reason.
@@anstupid4093 literally from Demon's Souls it's taught that heavy overhead attacks from big weapons will pancake you even with a shield up. They keep this consistent for all the games.
