Did eveeyone forget that in the very first episode of Rainbow High, Jade said "this never would have happened if Bella were still here"? This plotline was planned since the start. Bella will be back. It's just part of the story.

I used to work at Walmart, the reason you’re not technically supposed to take store displays is because the stores actually do make a profit off of selling the cardboard back to recycling plants, that being said they’re not inventory and a singular display isn’t worth all that much so most employees are happy to let you take them because it means they don’t have to haul them to the back and break them down

Thank you so much for explaining this!! Ever since I hit 15-16 stores always tell me no when I ask for store displays 😭 I’m sure they assume I’m trying to sell it or something but when I was younger the employees in toys always hooked me up w monster high displays, and now it makes sense 😂💕

The very first webisode starts with a scene from the final runway, where it seems like everything is going wrong and Jade says "this wouldn't have happened if Bella were still here". So they always intended for her to be kicked out, at least temporarily. But I don't think they'd go to the effort of establishing a character in the original line up, manufacture dolls of her and include her in the webisodes if she was only intended to last for a short time. I believe they'll bring her back into the show when they are doing their final runway and she will save the show. And I expect to see more dolls of her if they make new fashions for the original line up; with whatever outfits they wear in the final runway.
You have VERY good points! Now, I went to re-watch episode 1 and my heart broke when Jade said that... I really ship Jella! I hope Bella comes back. And the way you believe she will is very amazing

RH desperately needs more hair texture... As someone with naturally curly hair, I get so tired of seeing pin straight hair or gentle beach waves as the only textures :(

Well I mean jett black is a term, I'm assuming they wanted to avoid that since she is the darkest doll.
Yeah I thought "Jett" was an odd choice for her. Most of the dolls have a name associated with their signature colour, so it would make sense for a doll who wears all black. But since her colour is indigo, it's really strange that they'd call a black doll "Jett".
Also some people were saying it sounded to much like a boy name
I think also because her name is masculine and it’s common that black women are negatively seen as masculine :^(

Thank you for pointing out about the displays. Not all stores will let you have them because we are suppose to destroy them. I work at Walmart and while I don’t mind people getting the displays, others in my department will say no

My favorite Rainbow High doll is Sunny Madison. I just bought her with a Target gift card, and she's so beautiful. I want to get her cheer doll as well.
I'm so glad that you touched on Bella/Jella. Bella is my FAVORITE and I display her with my Jade doll. If they never bring her back, I'm gonna be so upset. I also think that Bella getting kicked out for sharing her own work is mega unfair. You'd think a rule like that would be to keep students from sabotaging each OTHER. Sending your own work, especially for internships, just seems like something that an elite school would encourage? I'm mega salty about that episode. Especially since we got to see a new outfit on Bella!
It's usually part of a non disclosure agreement. If you work for Mattel, for example, anything you design while working there legally belongs to them even if you design it outside of work hours as a personal project. It's so employees can't steal ideas from their company and then use it to start their own company, or pitch to another company.
Of course in this case it's a bit odd because it's a school. But it seems like Rainbow High markets itself on a global scale and treats itself more like a fashion institute than a place of education. They probably consider teachers to have a lot of input in their students' creations and therefore those creations in part belong to the school. I agree it's kind of unfair but Bella knew the rule and still chose to break it

opinions on bella being kicked out so soon? it feels so disappointing to me after so many hints in both the webisodes and from the rainbow high instagram (with them replying to and liking so many comments about jella / lgbtq characters), but i still have a shred of hope that she’ll be back at some point

Rewatch the first episode. It starts with them all panicking about their final runway, and Jade saying "this wouldn't have happened if Bella was still here". This was planned from the beginning, simply for drama and story. Have no doubt that she will be back.

That girl “Xcandadensis” is extra as hell, like she fucking took the store display. That’s cool AF. How did she done that. That question will never be answered
Three steps: first, find a store with the display empty (or, if it only has a few dolls left, buy them off after checking that they accept unopened returns). Second, find an employee at the store, and ask nicely if you could take the display home (sometimes they'll need to call the store management first, be patient!). Third, if they say yes, you can take the display home! I did this a couple times with LOL Surprise ball boxes from the Lights series, and built a _really_ funky fun eyesore of a dollhouse from them.

WAIT THAT WAS ME! I pointed out the fact about Amaya's name! Her name could also mean "the end of rain" because of how rainbows are formed.
I think the reason Krystal is delayed is probably because of the name change. And I think the reason the name was changed is because it could be seen as offensive. Krystal and by extension Karma are not ambiguously brown like Sunny and Skyler. I think Krystal is supposed to be African American coded if you will. I may be reading too much into this but I can't help but feel it would be a bad idea to name your first African American doll in your line up "Jett". That sounds like a bad racist pun.
I might eat my words with Karma. I was hoping Karma would be based on an Indian influencer or based on Indian pop culture. Its a bit disappointing that she's probably just Kylie Jenner but ambiguously brown.
As for Bella leaving. We all knew this was coming guys. It was in episode one. I hope she comes back in season 2 maybe. It looks like the freak out in episode one will be season one's finale. Or maybe its the middle point.

@@iamaroseXI Jet black is a common way to describe something that is a very dark shade of black in English. "The night was jet black, I couldn't see anything." is an example. Krystal is presumably African American. The name Jett probably came from an innocent place, all of the rainbow high characters have names that are color puns. However Krystal is supposed to be the color indigo in the rainbow which makes the name choice of Jett odd. To me the name Jett for this character gives me similar vibes as older African American caricatures in animation. Like Coal Black from Hannah Barbara's short film Coal Black and the seven dwarfs and the crow Jim Crow from Dumbo. And that is not a good thing. Never mind the fact that there are no shortage of bad racist jokes about peoples skin color.
I'm a little surprised other people haven't said anything before about this, since I recognized it immediately. Maybe its just because I grew up in an environment where casual racism was normalized. I'm really glad they changed her name to Krystal.

Awesome video as always. I have to say series two Amaya is my favorite- I’m a sucker for bright rainbow and black! I’d love to have more dolls with Glasses. I’ve grown up wearing glasses since since I was four and always thought myself ugly because of them and my eyes are too sensitive for contacts so fashion dolls wearing glasses would be great
I REALLY need them here in Argentina, I was able to find Skyler, jade, poppy and sunny but I can't find ruby or violet (also the economy messed that up bc the dolls are expensive as F) I mean, my family won't let me buy them because "I'm too old for dolls" but at least I need to see them in a store 😢😢

@@limesharpie I've seen that in Cebra (the toy store) poppy and jade are $9.950 (I think that I'm just gonna buy poppy) and Ive seen that if I buy ruby in Amazon it would be only 100 dollars and even that is cheaper than buying them here :/
