Always been my favourite player. I like that he's been humble throughout his career, genuine, always made an effort, acknowleged his teammates, not egotistical, always respectful, had precision for the game and practised so much at a young age to reach his goal. When he was playing hockey at the age of 10 with 14-16 yr old boys he scored like 298-300 goals and alot of parents hated him which was horrible. He was a kid who worked hard every day before school, after school till his bedtime improving his hockey skills so he could play after. Those parents should not have bullied a child.

GRTZ WROTE 18.000.000 ON A NAPKIN. MCNALL SAYS I WAS THINKING 23.000.000. GRETZKY SAYS SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE WITH THE OTHER PLAYERS. TRUE DAT. HE GAVE CARS TO SEMENKO FOR PROTECTING HIM

Th sad thing about this, is that you will never see this level of hockey again. Guys like Wayne and Mario come along once every 100 years, and the game was so much different back then. It was wide-open, aggressive, and exciting. Now all we see is interference, holding, guys sprawled all over the ice blocking shots, and hyper-conservative play. Back then it was the golden age, and now we are in the dark ages.
