I made a dining table out of red oak board from my local home center that can extend using sliding dovetails, kind of.
It's more like using the concept of dovetail slides but I am building the dovetail pieces separately and is then installed onto the apron rather than the apron and dovetail slides are made from one solid piece.
In terms of material cost, I used around $300 dollars worth of red oak from my local Home Depot.

Thanks for going through the process and sharing what you learned and modified at the end.
No problem! Glad you liked the video!
I can only imagine the planning you had to go through first to do this.
The build is impressive.
I felt the video had the right amount of detail to be of value. Pointing out what you would do different greatly improved the value of the video.
Thank you!
Nice video, but dude, can I buy you some push sticks? Some of that table saw work made me really nervous lol.
Yeah, I know what you mean, lol.
A buddy of mine recently hooked me up with a Microjig Grr-ripper, so I use the table saw a lot safer now! Lol.
Glad you like the video!
Great design using minimal tools.
Thanks!
Thanks, was looking for a way to extend a round dinner table I am planning. Newer would I think about dovetail slides! Nice video!
Thanks! Glad you liked the video!
Great job! Humble and detailed 👌
Thanks! Glad you like the video!
Love the work. But dont wear gloves on table saw if you get glove caught it will rip your hand in.
Thanks! Yeah I don't do it anymore.
This is the most valuable comment I will read this week.
Looks great!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
This Chanel is madly underrated
You have a video or plans on the first table you did on plywood ?

Wonderful job. What about giving metric labels on the video :)
Thank you! I'll definitely try to remember to do so for my future build videos :)
Do you do export for this furniture?
Do you mean the material?

Thank you for watching 😊
Nice project... BUUUUT!
You're either going to lose fingers or you will lose a hand, or you'll trip and fall to the blade or... sooner or later.
People, don't do what he's doing. There are better ways to work without being in danger :(
Appreciate the advice/warning. This was early into my woodworking journey and I didn't have a viable way to cut with my table saw (no proper stand and too high on my work table). I did eventually get a better table saw with a stand and I perform safer cuts now. 👍🏼
