I hadn't the slightest clue that the international aquascaping community was so damn hilarious
Haha, thanks, yeah, we're nerds but we're people. 😂😇
Our humour can be a little dry.
Nerds are just people with passion.
nerds
And hot! Did you see the red head at 6:06
Quarantine has changed my life. I never knew such a thing existed! CZcams is hilarious :P
It has changed the lifes of many, welcome to the channel, hope you'll make this your hobby to and enjoy it for a long time. Cheers.
That's true 😂
Truth!!!!!
LMMFAO!
Me too
you can really appreciate the green plants beauty, that is an awesome aquascape i hope to see more updates on this tank ☺️
You'll see it tomorrow. 💡
Thank you Green Aqua for getting Dave Chow to take us on a journey in Aquascaping. He is truly amazing, Bravo!
Thanks for watching and glad you like his work this much. So do we... He's been an IAPLC Grand Prize long before Green Aqua has even come to be alive.
Such a presence about Dave, very calming effect. I agree that tank will be the best in the gallery. Great video
Yeah, I totally agree with what you said about him. He has that effect on people, this is why I said what I said at the beginning of the video. Thanks for your kind words, cheers! 🙏🏻👍🏻
A Master in his natural element. Thank you so much for sharing. your channel just gets better and better. 👍
Thanks so much, it will get better because of you guys, being so encouraging and supportive, I can't express my gratitude for you doing so. You are the best. Cheers. 👍🏻
czcams.com/video/iktrZUIRU2w/video.html About piranha
its amazing. the way dave is so happy throughout the whole video. he has found his dream career
It is important for all of us to find something that we enjoy and passionate about. 😍 👍
It's beautiful 😍
I absolutely love this art, having fallen in love with Iwagumi as it gives me so much peace and happiness when designing it all in my head and discovering new technics or inventing ideas myself all the time....
What a beautiful setup🔥 can’t wait to see a cinematic video on this tank once it’s fully grown in!
You'll have it. Definitely. We'll also make some improvements on it with Dave's remote advice.
Amazing, inspirational...But above everything, I will remember this sentence forever: "Trial and error. And I have so many errors. You must find yours, and then, after that, you can find your methods". Simply impressive how a master like Chow-san transmits such peace by sentences like that. Thanks a lot to everybody for bringing this piece of art.
Thanks for your beautiful comment. Yeah, we feel the same, he has many hidden sentences like this in the video. You only notice them when you are editing it, and review it more than once. Glad that his message came through, there's much to learn from him, a true Master.👍
Just watching this Master put together this tank, with his devotion to his art, his humour
And the intensity of the stones initial set up was such a pleasure.
A feeling of joy settled around me.
Aquascaping May be a serious business, but it is very human as well.
Thank- you so much for sharing these magical moments with us.
Thanks so much for your very nice comment Kathleen, yeah, we felt exactly the same when talking to him and watch him work, he is an inspiration to us all. Thanks for watching, and really glad you had good moments through it. Stay tuned for more.🙏🏻👍🏻
This is biology coupled with art in an amazing way. I never knew that this "hobby" had gone this big. What a wonderful thing!
Certainly will b one of the best scape after a month in green aqua gallery... Great job by master..🍻
Glad you have a new favorite at Green Aqua, we will keep improving and adding to this scape with Dave's remote help in the future. And I'll be working to create a new favorite for you! 😜 Cheers.
This is such a great show I’m so happy to have found it here on CZcams. I would love to some day create such a beautiful and peaceful aqua scape. Thankyou
Good to have you here, we'll bring you some more of these if you stick around. Cheers.👍🏻

Wow! Dave Chow such a nice man, love his sense of humour and what a talent, this is just stunning.
He is a great teacher, a really inspirational, relaxed person. We've been amazed how much work he's done in the past. Can not wait his current IAPLC tank later this year. 😍
At 13:20 - “I’m also a light.”
I thought this was such a casually profound comment.
The final master-piece justifies all my waiting. Great team at Green Aqua and thanks Dave Chow for your introduction to aqua-scaping.
Cheers!
Awesome to see the whole process, beautiful scape by the master! Also in the photos of his previous scapes, the one with two dragons facing off... wow!!
Yeah, what a collection, right? All his scapes have a very distinct Dave Chow style, you can tell it's his tank without even looking at the name or the creator. He is a great Master. 👍🏻💡
Beautiful af, i could watch him doing aquascaping and his masterpiece all day
by far the best video covering an AquaScaping Event.... amazing work by the master as well as the video team who put this together...
Thank you for your words Kedar. It means a lot. We're working hard all the time to improve the watching experience and hopefully, our effort will be visible to all of you. And we're super honored whenever we have a chance to work with such great guests. 😍😃
Great to see people of so many nationalities working to produce something so beautiful. Truly Amazing work by a Master.
It was a special time for sure. Great memory. Hopefully we can continue the series after the pandemic
Simply awesome. I feel like I just watched something very special. Dave is truly a master! Overall best video of yours to date.
So glad that you liked it, we strive to be better all the time. Hope to be able to raise the bar even higher with time. 👍🏻
Can you guys open the door?
I'm still closed in the kitchen, the goulash and beer is almost over! 🤣 🤣 🤣
Great video guys! 👌
We'll do, we'll do, but we are so happy that you are around that we don't want you to leave. Maybe we'll let you out for a quick maintenance on your tank. 🤪
@@GreenAquaShop again? 🤣
I would do it with pleasure! Just one advice, keep the scissors away from me 😁
Yeah, Gábor, our maintenance guy is missing some scissors, do you have it?😂😅🤪
hahaha
@@GreenAquaShop me? No... I didn't use it when I did the maintenance to my scape! I can get proofs of that! And now, you are thinking, how the hell did he achieve such shape? 😜
Great video - I really love that your subtitles are what Dave means rather than exactly what he says - shows a great understanding and respect
Dave Chow is my older brother. I remember as a child he was always making beautiful little jars filled with pond water, insects, snails and shrimp. He and I would release some of them a few days or a week later back into the pond and we'd make another one. He would always tell me "see with your eyes but create with your heart". It took me many years to learn what he meant by that. Now, I am a professional food artist and I carry on his tradition and passion with pancakes, burger buns, bean sprouts... I sculpt with most foods (except beets... Never ever do art with beets). Thank you Dave for all you taught me.
Really? ;)
this is not only Amazing this is a Masterpiece...
It is indeed, Dave is a great Master.
"I am also a light." what a genius! thanks
Yeah, absolutely.
He means his head 😂😂😂😂
Been waiting for this one. Epic video guys, well done! Dave has so much talent, and has the original nature aquarium spirit, he is a real inspiration! The lay-out is just amazing, so much detail and angles to look from. I think this scape is the best one so far at Green Aqua. Please keep us posted on progress on this one, really like to see how it matures and grows in.
Take care guys!
Thanks for the nice comment Nick, we totally agree, Dave is fantastic. It was so nice and so inspiring to have him over. Check out the update that I did on the tank, just two weeks after its setup - based on his ideas. The video will come out on next Thursday. 💡
Together with the other 360 tank my favourite. Thanks for sharing so much inspiration and compliments for the quality of your videos.
Glad you like this 360 degree aquarium style, it's indeed very spectacular, and Dave did a fantastic job on this scape. Also glad you appreciate our effort we put into the videos. Cheers.
Dave's work is incredible. I love that stone, the layout and the wonderful explanations while he worked. Great work editing this to something enjoyable and easy to learn from!
Yes, his work is unparalleled. We have a very deep respect towards his creativity and style of presentation. Thanks for the kind words about the video production, it was a big big job (some 40+ hours of editing in total shared between Peter and me) to get it to this level. 👍🏻
Thats a true masterpiece by a master of aquascaping, I went to his shop in HK and thats the first time I saw a worldclass aquascape art. He taught me lot's of trick and tips that I always use. Happy 10th Anniversary Green Aqua! I must visit ur shop in the future, great video Balaz. Keep making the beautiful world of aquascaping!!!
Thanks so much for you kind words. Now I'm a little jealous that you were lucky enough to step into that shop, it's on my bucket list for a long time, I must visit soon. 👍🏻
I live in Indonesia, so traveling to HK is not a big deal. I little bit jealous that you were stepping to Green Aqua everyday 🤣 definitely my number one list aquascape shop that I must visit!
Yeah, and I should also add Indonesia while I'm there too. You're welcome to visit us if you happen to be in Europe, would love to have a chat with you. Cheers. 👍🏻
So proud he is from 🇭🇰 Hong Kong !!!!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Oh yes, your compatriot is one of the Legends of Aquascaping.
Green Aqua I just bought big tank will try to find him in hk
You definitely will find him. Then please send my regards! Cheers. 👍🏻
Beautiful work by Chow, and beautiful background music. thanks for sharing
You're welcome, glad you like the Master's work and our production effort too.
Thank you for sharing this. I've never tried doing these interesting aquarium/terrarium projects myself but I've always enjoyed watching the hardwork and attention to detail behind their makings. I especially enjoyed these workshops because of how the reasoning behind the design and the process in executing it are elaborated to the audience. Please, continue posting these wonderful videos! 🙏
Thanks so much, pls check out the latest video with Josh Sim, a similar style video.
Thank you for the spark of light your team has lit in me. Amazing people make amazing scapes, i hope to be able to come close the magnificence that you have shown me. I cannot thank you enough
Your lines are sooo beautiful, we thank you for that! Glad you found this very inspiring, we felt the same being there. You're very welcome and stay tuned for more from us. 🙏🏻👍🏻😎
what a super creation. I'm close to beginning the set up the hardscaping of my first tank. This video is inspiring.
Wow, didn't know there was a community for this. Such great positivity, with a sprinkle of geekiness. Love it.
Oh, yeah, I wouldn't say sprinkle though. 😅A 'lot of' would be more proper. 😇🤪So welcome to the channel and hope you'll enjoy our other contents as well.
He is soo funny . He is really enjoying his art as a hobby . Great guest . Keep it up 👍hello from Canada
Yes, he's funny and he's also very inspiring. It was an honour to have him over. Hello from Europe. 👍🏻
Oh My God!!! I never knew of these!!! So much fun and exciting!!! I would love to build myself an aquarium like this!!!! This is absolutely the best kind hobby I think!!
Cheers, welcome to the channel, I'm sure you'll like this hobby very much, stay tuned for more inspiration from us.
What a superb creation. Absolutely loved it. Green aqua channel has really helped me to get in depth related to aqua designs & products. So classy & ok informative.
Thats just so amazing....its a window in a another world...so so relaxing. Thank you for share!!!

Dave is so calm and he really looks like a master when he is doing his work. His scape also have a special charisma 👍 Glad to know that the day I will visit you comes closer 😁
Yes, happy times ahead, looking forward to that - glad you liked Dave's style, it is very inspiring indeed. 👍🏻
Love this kinda work. So much time and care goes into it
Yup that is the relaxing side of the hobby. 😊
So talented! Thank you for sharing this video. I had never heard of this man before and I will definitely be checking out more of his work :)
He is an aquascaping Legend for sure.
This whole video elicited such amazing emotions for me. I'm absolutely addicted to your videos. They're so calming for my mental health and inspire me for my own tanks!
That's so cool to read Alli. Thanks for your support!

"The Resting Dragon" would be an ideal name since it's peaceful to look at!
Yeah, a very good name indeed. Thanks for that suggestion. 🙏👍

As always, thanks so much. So glad for that! Cheers.
Work of art. amazing tank .
Yes it is, definitely a work of art. Thanks for commenting. Cheers. 🙏🏻👍🏻
Amazing. Simply amazing. It captures one's sole...
Yes, it definitely does, I am sure I'd recognize a tank made by Dave, even if it did not have his name under. He has such an inspirational and distinct style. A true Master.
Thank you very much for your time
Thanks for watching us. ;)
Ever since I discovered Green Aqua and this video, I always loved Aquascaping! I look up to people like Mr. Amano himself and guys like Dave Chow, keep it up Green Aqua and keep Aquascaping!
Thanks so much for watching us, glad you feel about this hobby like we do. Cheers.
Wow, a true artisan at work! a great aquascaper creating another masterpiece at the people's favorite gallery shop. I bet you guys will never break the "Great Wall" tank ever!! If I were you, I would frame that signed sketch he gave you. Cant wait to see this tank mature!
Glad you like this Shawn, yeah, we'll definitely keep you posted with the updates on this tank. 🙏🏻👍🏻
大師CHOW 的作品,不管從哪個角度觀賞。總是充滿生命力;即使四年後再次看到此影片,依然充滿感動與震撼。

AQUASCAPING
Just be ware, it's very contagious. 😇🤪
One of the best scapers ever
This is by far the best scape in the GA gallery👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Glad you like it Ionut, it is a stunning scape indeed.
Inspirational Aquascape. Hardscape looks dangerous but amazing❤ and by the way Filipes's aquascape has its own unique style and beauty so stop teasing him😂
We just made a show out of teasing Filipe, everybody knows he is one of the best scapers in the room and a very good friend to us. You know, how you tease your friends - this is the same kinda fun. No worries mate. Glad you like the scape, it's very solid, so there's no danger at all.
His work looks so much like Chinese traditional shuǐ-mò (水墨, "water and ink"), carefree, abstract and majestic. I feel like Dave's style root deep into the "xieyi" (寫意) landscape painting style. Great work!
Yeah, it is a great work.
tôi xem mãi mà không thấy chán , rất đẹp và rất tự nhiên , cảm ơn bạn rất nhiều vì đã ra 1 video này
Excellent work from Dave Chow, Thanks to Green Aqua :-)
You're welcome, thanks for watching and for supporting us!
I really would like to see a video on the last one he designed out of the three you showed pictures of. It is truly beautiful and i want to recreate it as best as i can!!
Great video Balazs! Dave truly is a master. The students in the classroom aren't too shabby either. Keep up the great work 👍👍👍
Not at all, I totally agree, thanks for the nice comment. Will do, keep on watching us as always. You are great! 👍🏻🙏🏻
i will stuck in his rOom a week or more...wow...everything around so amazing...
Yeah, many people do that, they're here for hours.
Te extrañaremos por siempre Felipe. Descansa en paz y gracias por compartir tanto conocimiento con nosotros
I loved this video. great to see such an artist at work.
I liked how informal it was, making jokes the whole time :D
Thanks, glad you like the style, we really wanted to avoid it being very formal, aquascaping is about creativity mainly but friendship and fun is a big part of the package. Cheers.
@@GreenAquaShop Exactly :D
Although I expected more detailed questions, maybe you can prepare some beforehand next time? :D
What? Do you want me to handle 40 guests, set up the sound, lights, prepare the plants and the gear, put in the seats, assemble the gimbal and make nice pictures with that heavy gear in my hand for hours while commenting the whole thing and then come up with some smarter questions? 😜 I'm not superman! 😂 Just kidding mate, I know what you mean though. It takes a pro aquascaper to ask the proper questions, sometimes it's just enough to watch and learn.
@@GreenAquaShop ;) i appreciate all the effort you put into this.
(and yes, that is indeed what i meant, you're right, watching is learning too)
Cheers mate! You are great! 👊🏻👍🏻
I see you from Canada!! I love your work!! 👌🏼😁

So beautiful aquarium

Yay! 😇
"Great Wall" is so Appropriate name to this Tank.......Well Done
the finished result is super awesome..

I agree. That's why we try to have both while scaping.
Great video, but holy smokes, the redhead with glasses at 6 minutes. Yowza!!!

Yeah. 😎
A simple word for me to describe this tank will be Beautiful
Thanks for watching, Dave is a great master, welcome to the channel.
Спасибо!!!Спасибо!!!Спасибо!!!Спасибо!!!Спасибо!!!Спасибо!!! это просто великолепно!!! отдельная благодарность за демонстрацию аквариума во всей красе=)
Cheers, thanks for watching and welcome to the channel.
That minds, what happened with you people? its a dragon effect?! LoL just kidding 😁. Great atmosphere. So much talent in the houseeee 😃I really love dragons... so i appreciate Dave Chow work 🙏 I think iwagumi style seems so easy and simple but is a very complex to balance the rocks, especially in big tanks. Requires a lot of experience indeed. Thanks for that! 😘 For all!
You're welcome Inês, yeah Viktor asked me why did I even mention that similarity. So let me tell you it's only my dirty mind - that is affected by that dragon stuff, not his. 🤪

My mouth was wide open the whole time. Amazing video and what an amazing setup! I really really need something that epic and awesome in my office here at home. I would never leave the room!
Yeah, stunning aquascapes are even better in person than on video, everybody - really everybody says that who visits our gallery. 💡
The best tank at Green aqua definitely ❤️
Could someone teach me how they install the “in, out” at the bottom of the tank. Its look really amazing ! Thank you so much
Carbide/diamond tipped circular drill bit on non-tempered glass unless I'm mistaken.
deserves first spot in iaplc2019 😜
btw, any reason for using T5 instead of LED lights?
There are many reasons. We have a lot of LED-s everywhere in the gallery and we wanted to show a tank with T5-s too. Also, 2 LED-s above the 90cm cube would probably have been a little weak, and 4 would've been too much there.
Congratulations Guys for first 3M ever !!! This video definitly will pass a top of the top aquascaping video and it will happen even this year
Thanks so much my friend! :) Thanks for the support too!
You know the guy is a great Master when you see Soo many known Aquascaper attending to the workshop. Would like to see Dou Mok next on the Green Aqua store.
Noted. Cheers!
Hold on, do my eyes deceive me? Dave Chow wearing a pair of 2019 Ultraboosts?
Man's a hypebeast
Haha, he is. :)
Such Lovely tank 😍
Great job team.
Can some explain me about the plumbing of this tank. I would like to do this kind of cleaning system on my tank
It's relatively easy. You drill three holes, you go through with plastic elements sealed and glued, connect the hoses at the bottom that will lead to the filter (Eheim 2080 has two suction hoses and one outflow) and just push in some custom made glass into the top part of the plastic with some rubber rings inside. That's it.
Green Aqua thank you .... my doubt is that do we need to put any return check valve or we can directly connect IN and OUT pipes ??
No need to do anything, this would function exactly as a regular in- and outlet for an external filter, the only difference is that the hose does not go above the rim, but through the bottom. For the filter it's the same... 💡
Green Aqua thank you so much, ill get this implemented to my 2x2 cube tank which i am planning. 😍😊
You're welcome, good luck with your tank. The only thing you need to take care of is to seal those plastic thru-holes well.
My favorite hardscape so far!
As also many of us.
Lóri
Wonderful presentation
Thank you ☺️
You're welcome, really glad you liked it! 😎👍🏻
I don't like the Iwagumi aquarium but this is awesome.
This scape needs of betta splendens red dragon 😉.
That would be the eye of the dragon indeed, thanks for that idea. We love the simplicity of the iwagumi layouts, but they are really difficult to make on a high level indeed, this is why there are so many very boring stone-layouts out there.
@@GreenAquaShop Would be awesome 😉

@@GreenAquaShop so funny hahahaha
He is waiting for dave to say stop??
Amazing,is so beautiful.. thank you master..
Yeah, Dave Chow is the best. We also learned a lot from him, he is really inspiring.
Maybe, I've watched this video 10 times. I am so amazed. I think, of all the Green Aqua shows, Dave Chow is among the most amazing, apart from Josh Sim. I believe that Dave is a smart person. The reason is, just by looking at the photo of the hardscape material, so he can imagine it as a sketch. And then, the sketch is very meaningful and almost the same as the original. So stunning.
I agree with you. These two Masters are very talented!
