Seems like a big advertisement
I bought one after all the hype. It's strong, while it works. It's nice not having to deal with suction cups but taking it out to clean it is still a messy hassle. Taking the filter compartments apart and putting them back together the right way is like solving a Rubik's Cube. It takes more time than it should to figure out how it goes back together. We had a power outage and the filter never turned on again. For me, it was a very expensive mistake.
doesn't it have 3+2 years of warranty? Are you unable to return/change it?
You should really mention if this is a paid sponsored video.
Aquael Turbo has almost all these functions and is much cheaper :)
Agreed. The turbo is a MONSTER of a filter, internal or otherwise.
Not a 5 year warranty. Made in Italy. Can be hidden in Aquascapes.
I really like the German Juwel internal filter. The heating element is inside. Many different filter media can be used. And cleaning the compartments are also very easy.
I've been using a 500 on my 60p for over 6 months now. Love all the features you talked about but in addition this is the quietest filter I have ever had running on an aquarium. I run it in my office where I record audio, all the filters on my other aquariums need to be switched off, but not this one! Couldn't recommend it more highly.
I've had one for around 9 months, totally sold with all of the features on the box. In use I've found it adequately filters the aquarium, issue is at water changes. As the sponges and media become slightly heavier with debris, if you lower the water level below the main magnet, the whole filter slides down the glass. I thought it was a one off, but consistently happens. Aquarium glass isn't overly thick, no substance or residue on the outside that is making it slip. My workaround was to buy an additional filter box, which means the filter can rest on the substrate and avoid this issuing reoccurring and crushing any more fish. An if you're wondering if I contacted sicce, yes and they've said it is to be expected.
I have this in my 25 gallon cube, and I love it. Silent, customizable, adjustable, magnetic attachment, easy to clean, and affordable.
I agree. This Sicce internal is a good one.
I wouldn't place it in a decorative aquarium under any circumstances, but due to its robust structure, it would look good in a breeding tank.
These have been out for a couple years. Are they new to the EU market, or is this a newer version with no designation as such? Thanks
I've heard very mixed reviews on these. Durability, noise, and overall dimensions seem to be the most common complaints.
Would be interesting to know how loud they are when they send all their vibration to the glas of the tank. I use the internal filter of Juwel and that is the first filter which is really silent.
I own four of these filters and I can say they are pretty quiet. The 900 is 10 watts, 700 is 7 watts and the 500 is 4 watts.
My Sera doesn't make a single noise either. I think my cabinet is Juwel. But yeah, we know better.
The magnet on the body is so that you can easily detach it from the head while in the tank when you need to service the filter (rinse the media and sponges, etc). Someone who actually uses internal filters designed this.
Super
Its like Eheim Aqua Ball or Eheim biopower
The answer for me is no! I had enough of internal filters. I have small tanks and every angle of the tank is counted and matter. No to internal filtering.
pls build an iwagumi with seriyu stones next bro
love the video love the content .
Have you ever seen Aquael Turbo series?
It’s a bit of video in the advertisement 😂
Sicce does it again!
Shark ADV 800 is for me much more user friendly than the Pro. My 2 cents😊
Great video as always, thank you✌️
Nice but i still prefer the Seachem Tidal. Very cool HOB filter.
The suction cup is great, however the space between the filter and aquarium glass is very narrow that my nano fish got stuck in between several times. One passed away even. I love how quiet it is, but i wouldnt recommend, sorry.
Yep, there are some nice innovations on these filters but nothing thats a 'game-changer'
Pff, for example Aquael or Eheim have been offering internal filters for years with the possibility of using various media in various - also additionally attached - chambers. What does this filter change?
Change that they pay it for the promo video, and of course it has magnetsssss uuuu
it's not even first generation of sicce shark pro, they are also present for a long time on the market, and it's italian brand, so guys are quite the neighbors
Or Juwel, Sera, Marina ... I bet any of these are better on the long run.
Nice one Tommy!
Why does bba attack areas of high concentrated flow ?! Finally someone mentioned it !
Dont you think the media Chamber is too small
what happened to the discord server?
What is the diffirence?
I'm sticking to internal filters they so good
Clears water fast
Easy to clean
Very good water flow
Skip button never appeared
In Asian we been using this kind of filter for decades what news about it ?? This is like a big advertisement
This is a payed review, it's gotta be. When he started with all the "advantages" of an external filter, I knew we were in deep waters, pun intended. Sera, Einhell, even Marina, they've been doing these filters for decades. I personally have a Sera 60 Fil, bought an extra chamber, I have sponge, then fiber, and finally medium and charcoal. Silent, durable, small but powerful, and tested and proven. It's been 5 years, only now the suction cups have started to fail, they're hardening. Apart from that, nothing. Don't go for hypes and trends, go for tested and supported. Don't forget, it's an hobby, and problems are not relaxing. Have fun.
Does the sera 60 fil have flow control?
@@zan_len It has a couple of end attachments, a "shower" for Bettas or turtles, and two other if I'm not mistaken, I just used one. But as a dimmer or switch, no. The Venturi system has a valve, so you can control air flow. You can direct the flow any way you want though.
I hate this. I always felt this channel was non promo sales stuff. This is a blatant sponsored advert. I feel let down especially as all you promote is over filtering tanks through external filters. Dissapointed.
I just prefer having as little visible components as possible in a tank, so not my cup of tea
The same of a internal filter but they pay the video promo, and of course, have magnetssss….oh my god
Thank you for this huge advertisement. Dear Viewers don't buy it if you know how it works. There are 3 boxes and let imagine how water will flow in the lowest one. It is wrong designed. Holes in boxes should be set from the smallest to the largest on the bottom to provide water flow from bottom to the top. I will also assume that better solution is to remove holes in top and middle boxes to provide water flow correctly (in the largest version of this product).
Just no, it's horrific. If it doesn't hide your heater, it's a hard pass from me.
Went to Amazon to purchase this (I'm in the U.S. so it's not practical to purchase from Green Aqua) and this filter has a 62% 5 star rating, which is a low rating.
It has 10% 1 star rating which is high percentage and a 2 star rating of 5%.
When buying on Amazon, I found that anything with these type of ratings is reliably going to fail.
What I found interesting, is the element consistently complained about, with video examples, are the magnets. They either lose their magnetism or they don't work at all, even if the glass of the tank is well within the thickness parameters given by the manufacturer.
And this video really emphasized how strong the magnets are.
One upset reviewer pointed out that the gap in between the glass and the filter has trapped 3 of his fish there, which killed them.
I've seen a lot of video reviews on CZcams touting a product (esp. tech) only to find real life reviews by users overwhelmingly contradicting the CZcamsr.
Id much rather have a sump or a outside canister, waayyyy more surface area these are for ametures
@sawgunn69 • That is the truth , everyone looks better when you are running external filtration with inline heaters and CO2. I do remember that when Thomas from BRSTV did a video on this filter back in July 2022 , and he thought running this filter inside of a sump would be a good option!!! It's been awhile so I don't remember exactly what benefit for doing that 🚽
@@stoneysscapes7544 Glad Im not alone
Lol, at least write amateur right. And no, that doesn't mean a thing. Internal filters are more silent, if there's one in your sleeping room you can barely hear it. And in a living room, for the aesthetics, you want a clean cut cube, you don't want to see hoses, boxes and pumps sticking out of it. And it's more practical, all the aquarium stuff is contained in the aquarium itself, they're not all over the place with sumps. Who's the amateur now?
I understand some of your videos contain sponsored materials. This is fine as it enables you to make them. But it’s rather disappointing this one is just an unnuanced one-sided straight commercial. Even for a product that does not seem any better then it’s competitors. And no aquascaper will ever use it…. You can even feel Tommy doesn’t like the filter. Maybe start a separate product advertisement channel…
We work continuously with manufacturers, providing them with feedback based on our experiences to support the development process. Some of this feedback is directly implemented into future versions of the filters, benefiting both sides. Internal filters are commonly used in nano aquariums, and we provide a lot of content on this topic. Many people don't like canisters for such tanks, so hang-on-back filters and internal filters are often a preferred choice. Like with every equipment, there are pros and cons, but this filter is still one of the best when it comes to using internal filters in your small tank.
