- Loggers Run at California's Great America was a log flume built by US manufacturer Arrow Dynamics that was previously located at this park. It was removed after the 2017 season on October 29 due to an expansion of South Bay Shores, after that it was subsequently scrapped.
RIP Great America, shutting down and gone in next 11 years. So many memories.
All the memories and fun times. Sad times! Hope they keep it open as long as possible.
Rode this just today. I liked it a lot, it is very relaxing and it is good for all ages. But, they don't have seatbelts, it seemed really dangerous at first, but then I realized that there were little handles on the sides. The drop was not nearly as steep as I thought. I wouldn't call this a thrill ride, but more of a relaxing plunge.
Eden Bouskila ok i relying this 3yrs later but you should go to the log ride at Santa Cruz California, that one goes straight down and has those handle bars also but like the one Santa Cruz better tbh..its more interesting..

They can’t do that .. this rides a classic
when your tired from walking or getting on big rides this will be a great one cause you can be on your phone and talk to your friends and then get wet at the end. this is my favorite water ride
This ride is so fun! But I sat in back and my parents in front so when we went down hills they would get completely soaked and I would be (sort of) flying in the air.
I lovee this ride! I mostly love WhiteWater Falls.

This is probably my favorite ride at GA. The seating is awkward, I will admit, especially if you are riding with friends.

whats the split for at 3:25do they use both sides for dropping cars down the hill with people in the cars or is it for something else? Cuse it looks like another drop.
When my friends and I went on this ride, one of us yelled to the guy who is sitting next to the drop, "YOU MAKE ME WEEEEEEEEEEEEET"

This always interests me, why are there 2 drops and a switch track? Is it to improve throughput when it's busy, or a reserve drop if the main one is down for maintenance. Just doesn't make sense

According to wiki somebody died on this ride and that's why I watched this. But now that I watch it, it doesn't really look like someone can die from that unless they jumped out on purpose (which they did)

I went in the back to keep dry, but all of my friends are dry and a wall of largeness just comes up and DRENCHES me!!'

Deathbyillusion On busy days they operate the split. the ride splits so there is more drops per minute
4th best ride at CGA in Santa Clara.

That's right, I remember now. And they used boats on that side.
Six Flags Great America still has both Loggers Run and Yankee Clipper.
One time my little sister cried when I went on thid w/ her we went on halloween haunt and there were soiders it scared the poo out of her
If anyone is planning to ride this don't sit in the middle of the cart, that was my plan on not to get wet and I came out soaked...

Both are the same. Both Six Flags Great America and California’s Great America opened as Marriots Great America in 1976 and both parks opened with most of the same rides.
Loggers Run still operates in Illinois.
Sadly this one in California closed for good in 2017.

Bendy Batim They are twin sister parks, originally known as Marriot's(the hotel chain) Great America, when they first opened in 1976. In the latter years this particular Great America was known as Paramount's Great America before being sold to the current owners Cedar Fair, and is now California's Great America, whereas its twin sister park in Gurnee, Illinois, of course, is now Six Flags Great America.
