#SilentPlanet #Iridescent #Terminal - Hudba
Thank you for taking a listen. 🖤🌻
You're most welcome :)
You are an awesome drummer my man. Can't wait for the album to drop!
I couldn’t agree more on the emotional impact of this song all the way around. Many aspect in this song I can relate to my life and what I have come through. Thanks guys 🙏
Silent Planet, I think, has the best lyrics in metalcore. They put so much work into their music
This is so different from what I know from Silent Planet, yet it has that Silent Planet twist, and they pulled it off so perfectly.
“These pills wont scratch the surface, if the cancers in my soul. Am i terminal?”💔 😭
This already is such a crazy year in terms of high quality prog/djent/metalcore. Erra, Convictions, Ghost Iris, Times of Grace, Phinehas, Gojira, Spiritbox and now this...
Not to get too sappy here but man, am I thankful for these talented musicians. Their work does wonders for my mental health on a daily basis.
💯❤️
I was reading something by a guy named Greg Proffit just this morning. He writes about music and the impact it's had on his life. This is one of the things he's said: "I am filled with wonder that I am by some miraculous stroke of good fortune, I’m alive-and able to hear these sounds, this way, in this moment." I feel the same thing so frequently and thought it echoed what you were trying to say too. \m/
Wait erra was this year? That seems like ages ago
Erra for life! 🤘
@@thombakker2835 I was talking to a friend yesterday about how it'll be difficult to choose AOTY and SOTY at the end of 2021... such an incredible year for Heavy Music
So what I can understand from the music video this is the correlation or B-side to Trilogy. The more sadness and confusion to strive and get help. It must be a walk through of Garrett going to the mental hospital when they were touring in Europe. With the lyrics I'm reading it's Garrett expression the emotion of a illness that wont be cured. A so called terminal illness of the battle of his head. Just wow. Honestly the way things are going, this is going to be the best release from them yet. Evolved their sound to a whole new level.
There's something so unique about this song and video. It hurts you to your core (no pun intended). It's beyond beautiful
Whoa, Loudwire wrote an article about this reaction video! So excited and thankful.
Check it out here: loudwire.com/silent-planet-terminal-reaction-video-response/
This song was an experience that they made you live through. The band is basically the physical manifestation of art
I haven't had any piece of music hit me this hard since "I Let it in and it Took Everything..." by Loathe. This song hit me quite hard since it reminded me a lot of when I was placed in a mental hospital. I remember the ride to the hospital and just remembering everything in my life. Like, every second it seemed. And just that thought of feeling "unfixable" or "terminal" is incredibly real and brought me back to that time in a way. Definitely a hard piece of music for me, but one I will appreciate forever
Here after seeing Garret respond on Twitter and it ending up on Loudwire! +1 for Bogdan!
“All these pills won’t scratch the surface if the cancer’s in my soul” is such a great piece of writing
Please react to The Amity Affliction - Like Love. It's heavy, as you like
Kinda giving me Loathe vibes. Trilogy was exquisite, Panopticon was ok, and this was phenomenal. So overall pretty hype
I agree. Panopticon was probably one of their weakest songs imo.
@@codymcgibbon1828 I mean, yeah it's heavy, but I like their songs with huge choruses like Trilogy or the new one, so Panopticon felt kinda average to me
Absolute banger, that interlude too… I like their interludes second best, only after LOATHE.. what an amazing track.. that intro slayed… nice reaction bro.. love from India 🇮🇳
Mitch voice and the instrumental brought me tears.
they played this song live for the first time at the show i went to for their headliner tour. it was truly moving, watching Garrett pick up a guitar and open his heart for us to hear was an experience i'll never forget. the only band i'll ever see that can make me laugh, cry, be angry, and be motivated to be a better me. perfect song
Every band needs their Deftones vibe song. This is theirs and it's fucking banger. For me it's song of this year. It's so impactful like Panic Room. I just can't
Panic Room makes me cry when that breakdown hits.
@@micahjohansson7573 same! What a powerful song
Just saw the loud wire article that you linked about you, so awesome that the band saw your reaction!! This song is truly amazing, and love that you congratulate all the band members!!
For everyone calling it their "deftones" song, the genre itself is called shoegaze. Deftones popularized it by mixing it with nu metal. But the genre consisting of big ethereal walls of sound is called shoegaze.
I think I’m the only one who doesn’t hear the shoegaze influence here. Just because of the whispery vocals, I don’t think it makes it shoegaze. If it had that almost jangle ish indie sounding guitar tone with lots of fuzziness or distortion and more raw ambience then maybe.
This is distinctively the Deftones “brand” of shoegaze. And Silent Planet have stated Deftones are an influence on them. So yes this is a “Deftones-like” song. And Deftones haven’t been nu metal since Around the fur
@@MiguelRamirez-cr7gh have you listened to deftones? They’ve stayed nu metal lol. And deftones is as inspirational as linkin park to metalcore. Most bands are influenced by them. Silent planet is more prog than nu metal.
@@cryptictriscuit207 I’ve been listening to Deftones since 95, yes I’m old lol Definitely not nu metal, and the only reason White pony is regarded as a nu metal album is because of Back to school which the label made them do and added it on afterwards.
@@MiguelRamirez-cr7gh ok lol
I got to see them play this live on Sunday. What an experience. Love these guys so much.
I really feel you on the emotional impact. The music alone is just so powerful and it might be the fact that they’re one of my favorite bands, but it just is such an epic song
I love your reactions man. You made me discover a lot of amazing bands. Greetings from Argentina!
I know, this will be lyrically out of context, but for me, as the lover of space art, this is absolutely great band, which sounds absolutely spacey and this song just takes you on a great odyssey across the universe by music. And I promise, I also had a tears in my eyes, when I heard it right now. Love them so much!😭❤🤘
Can't freaking wait for don broco and spiritbox tomorrow!!
Broco got delayed to october 22nd 😭
And Eidola dude don't forget them
@@nickskom7491 say it ain't so...u gotta be kidding
@@Eivesohn oh yeah of course
@@ejnova7215 sadly it’s true. They delayed it:(
this song has so many different aspects of it and i'm here for all of them
this video helped me experience what it was like to listen to this song for the first time again. terminal will forever remain in my heart as the most powerful metalcore song
This gave me the same chills when i first heard Pittsburgh from TAA in 2014, this was incredible.
I am not ready for their album this made me so emotional and I am not ready for the new releases we are getting tomorrow. I can only imagine how impactful and gut wrenching the new record is going to be and the same applies to Sleep Token with their release being next week
I’m not crying you are! 🤯🔥🤘🏻
This song give me goosebumps every single time I'm listening to! One of my top 3 songs in 2021. ❤️
Just saw them in St. Louis last night. I’m still blown away
Love from Turkey bro. I always watched your reaction
This gave me the same emotion like constance did. Love it!
Oh yeah this song and music video and band silent planet had gave me goosebumps all over my body at this point dude omg I nearly cried too when I heard the lyrics in this song very emotional power metalcore song track omg it’s insane and incredibly awesome my god u had butterflies in my stomach when I hear the screams in the song omg it got me chills man omg such a killer album with a killer track song omg dude it’s an absolute banger performance in the music video omg I’m gonna cry my eyes out bro omg *starts to cry in tears* it’s amazing *dries my tears and sniffles* very awesome emotional side in this song what a performance you rock dude great reaction bud love u bro 😘
I had the exact same reaction! There is just something about this song that leaves you speechless
I see why it took a while for them to release more music, this just smacks!
Every lyric Garrett pens comes straight from his core
This song had the effect on me I think Two-Way Mirror by Loathe had on a lot of other people
I'm glad your doing this drop very good vibe and got Loathe vibes for sure.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one, the end of this song gave me so much loathe vibes
This song hit me so emotionally too
yess thanks
I've felt the same. Nothing came close this year in terms of feeling any kind of emotion.
Noticed the ending frame of the video in the desert is the same as the opening to Trilogy.
Saw this live yesterday very interesting song
I love how they incorporated trilogy, definitely a story with these 2 videos 🔥 such a banger track
Something about this song hits me in the soul, cried my first listen
Amazing
This band is literally only just getting better. We are witnessing greatness people. This is lowkey the new for today.
The song is about how treatment for mental illness can rob people of themselves, it hits very close to home
Jaw dropping !!! Epic!
Great fvcking song, great reaction and I can't wait for this album to drop!! 🤘🤘
Those tears you had were similar to the first time I heard 'Lily and the moon' by Thornhill.
I know how you feel rn, for me the new Sam carter feature on the spiritbox album was such as emotional for me as this one for you 🖤
Which song?
@@bornanematzadeh5896 Yellowjacket
Man I'm sooo excited for Nov!!! 2 bands in my top 5 favorite bands of all time are dropping albums!!Silent Planet and Imminence!!! And Invent Animate dropped an Ep recently which was only 2 real songs but masterpieces! That's 3 out of 5 fab bands. Now only if Currents releases something soon I'd flip!!!
Garrett just tweeted this vid out🖤
You felt in your 1st listening what i feel after 10, Perfect react .
The ending of the video connects with trilogy which I love
thank you for getting me into silent planet, Jesus Christ this band is everything
I actually thought this song was a lot closer to their usual stuff. Panopticon was completely different, which is why I haven't really been gravitating towards it as much. This reminds me of Firstborn on When The End Began.
I’ve seen Silent Planet three times now, and I would gladly pay any sum of money to see them a fourth time now that this exists. Holy hell that was good
"holy hell" i see what u did there
Banger
I've been wanting distinct instrumentation again like what we got in The Night God Slept, where everything can work on its own to make each track stand out on it own which is incredibly difficult to do and most music fails at. While this album (and most of their other albums) doesn't have that and relies more on vocal melodies (many sections of most of their songs instrumentally blend together), when they get the vocal melodies right, they nail it. Like here with Terminal. I'm wondering what would happen if they commit to the shoegaze sound, 'cause they seem to get emotion right but fail to provide layered instrumentation otherwise. I mean freakin' listen to the end of Second Sun. And everyone always pointing out their new sing-scream sound and general cleans like in Second Sun's chorus and Terminal and Till We Have Faces' chorus. People point out bits and pieces here and there of the instrumentation but otherwise it's always about the vocals and I think that's a problem. I really think they need to commit to what makes their sound work and what they're good at.
I love music like this that within a minute into the video it's making us sweat from our eyes.
I wonder if this is what the same guy from the Trilogy music video saw when he had his VR headset on ...
I'm hearing more straight Forward structure from them... which is good for me.... personally I've never got into their previous style ...but this new direction is promising in every sense of the word
Wow.
Spiritbox album came out today and Silent Planet album coming later this year. Guess these two will have a intense fight for AOTY.
I like Spiritbox but I don’t think they will be able to go toe to toe against Silent Planet.
I don’t think that Spiritbox was even in the conversation, it was pretty mid to me personally. Erra is my AOTY so far but think this new Silent Planet record is on the trajectory to beat it.
@@joshforeman1648 this comment is coming a bit late I know but I just wanted to let you know, Spiritbox was my Nr. 1 and Silent Planet my Nr. 2 album last year. :)
Still, both bands are outstanding in what they do and I even got to see Silent Planet live in March in New Jersey during my vacation in the US. Still looking forward to see Spiritbox live sometimes! 🤘
@@Thir0ck Erra remained my no1 for last year. Apart from that there wasn’t many albums that really stand out for me, I actually ended up being pretty disappointed with the Silent Planet record.
Hard Core got featured on loudwire
There's only two songs in recent memory that have elicited a physically emotional response. This joins Spiritbox's Constance in that regard.
Dream on dreamer vibes. But holy shit what a song. Phenomenal
Imagine how good this year for music was up to this point, and We are still waiting for Silent Planet, Wage War, Invent Animate and many others to kill it even more, I mean... can We just appreciate it.
You getting emotional made me emotional
If you want goosebumps listen to "Depths II" by them..
Nobody can touch this band. You just can’t. They’re the best.
you should watch trilogy right after this. it's a journey!
The song was so good. But, the video told such a strong story. Holy shit that was good
silent planet is so sick
I feel like the message has something to do either about addiction or multiple personalities
Pre order?
could you react to odeon? they're a brazilian band and they write some hardcore-ish? songs while blending some elements of national music. You could do a react for morphine or gasoline
pls react to the new Resolve song
Trilogy and this single are probably connected talking about Garrets' experience during his stay at the mental hospital post 2018
Hey @hardcore, i would like it if you possibly could give songs your own rating? That would be awesome :)
Dude check out the new song by Valiant Hearts called Elevated Being you're going to be blown away
Straight up gives me Thursday x Loathe vibes.
reminds me of hospital for souls from bring me the horizon
wtf is up with the quality of music this year?!
Still not sure how I feel about this one.
More loathe core 😩😩😩
He kills her and he regret so much? Wtf
Where is the reaction to Uber by Don Broco?
Sounds like something BMTH would put in Sempiternal. And hey, this is way better and sounds more like BMTH than BMTH latest release.
Enterprise Earth - Where Dreams Are Broken
Doesn't really affect me. Good song though 👍
new song "Roots Below" from As I Lay Dying, must check it out! absolute banger
yo first
Honestly I thought it was pretty weak. I like the one before and the 2 they did with the other band much more. Still good but will be a skip for me on the album I think.
