  • Finally it is on my channel, The War Of Hormones ;)))))
One of the most recommended music on our comment section, here you are...
Such a wonderful music, after watching it , I just added it to me everyday playlist and from now on I'm gonna listen to this one regularly just like butterfly.
Loved it, the MV , the funny dance practice and the awesome lyric ;) which west found it not so appropriate , but it's been a long time since and no body remember those dark days .
We only enjoy what BTS has and that is all enough.
At the end, thanks for everything my friends, like always, Love you all
Thanks for the love and the support.
You have no idea how you changed my life.

Exactly. And, really, teen girls are no different. It's just a fun, honest look at when those hormone levels change, and they start looking at girls (or boys, in the case of girls) differently.
And they praise girls in the song, at one stage calling them a national treasure. There is nothing wrong with this wonderful song. It certainly isn't misogynistic.
I honestly love this song. I am a 54 year old woman, and I've seen attitudes change over the years, and not always for the best. But I cannot understand how anyone can find this song objectionable - unless they are actively trying to... because they have their own agenda.
I wish they started performing it again, but even without the backlash they are past that stage in their lives, so it wouldn't really work anymore. So I just have to be content to listen to the song and watch the MV💜

This was the first ever music video and song I'd ever heard by BTS, I fell in love with it instantly. After I read the lyrics I actually loved it even more. Because it was a bunch of guys talking about going through puberty while not taking themselves too seriously. Pretty much everyone goes through that time in our lives but very few people really talk about it, let alone sing about it. It made me so sad to see them get shamed and bullied over something people should actually be able to talk about. Some people are so dead-set on hating that they don't see the harm goes beyond their target. Even in the US it's next to impossible to just allow open discussion for youths who are going through that time in their lives. People make is so shameful when it's really just part of growing up. It seems to me that we missed out on an opportunity with this song to be able to open a dialogue about how these feelings are normal and nothing to feel bad about... But instead it just compounded more shame onto the topic and hurt young men who were trying to express themselves in a satirical way. And let's be honest, there are racier and raunchier lyrics out there- even in American pop and R&B.

  • @allyquintero7981
    @allyquintero7981 Před rokem +12

I find this song very sincere and genuine, there are already very few people in the Korean music sphere who have freedom of expression in their music. Although BTS was pressured to be more careful with their lyrics and to say what they want in a more generic way, their sincerity continues to be seen in their lyrics till this day. If you notice, now they don't mention girls directly but leave meanings open to free interpretation in their songs. They no longer talk about things that would generate controversy but even so they make their intentions clear to us through hidden messages that we can still capture if we analyze them well. That's why I really appreciate BTS for always staying true to themselves despite all the hate and censorship they've received.

I know it may seem defending example but their are/were worst song on girl's body before and after them atleast they accept their mistakes (which was not even the mistake) and try to not repeat that

It’s beyond a shame they were harassed about this song to the point we will never see it live again. Because 18yo saying he’s a bad boy is unforgettable. They have released a few dance practices like this where they are so unserious the goofballs we know they truly are. There is one songs dance practice where we don’t know what RM did off screen but Taehyung spends the entire song in almost tears trying not to laugh at him and failing. He barely makes it through😂. There is my favorite which is the Armypedia Suga Cam on BangtanTV which is peak Suga chaos.

being a girl, when i first heard this song and lyrics i didnt think it was problematic at all or like it could be called out for being misogynistic. But if people put it that way im sure literally 90% of the songs in western media can be called very very problematic.
People at that time just wanted to find dirt on bts by any means and tbh the accusers didnt even understand the context they are talking. BTS were talking abt what guys feel during puberty and lastly i loved the way bts responded to all allegations instead of explaining their point of view they just apologized and promised to do better even when there was nothing wrong.

The whole reason BTS are who they are is that they were allowed to put their own feelings and thoughts into songs so. 7 guys aged 16 to 21 who can't date, I mean what do you expect. To me it is age appropriate.
There were other songs around that were more provocative than this, it was just another way for anti's to try and bring them down. Also there is some dispute over translations as I know there are some phrases in Korean that don't have direct English equivalents. Sorry but I love this track and I also love '2nd GRADE'. The criticism came after quite some time, not immediately after releasing the song. A lot of people that had problems with their success tried hard to find bad things to say about them.
And it was so wise that they did’ fight the criticism even when it wasn’t fair, and just apologised because they felt some people were offended by the way they chose to express those feelings. I personally love the song and many others do also.
And yes, Jungkook’s vibe did change in the last years, but he still has some of that cute side, you can see it in some V-lives or Run BTS episodes, even a recent one, when they went to a flying yoga class :)

Bang Shi Hyun wanted them to tell the stories of genuine teenage boys and this is probably pretty genuine of the shock of hormones making them a little crazy. As a female, I don't find it offensive. I am glad men are attracted to women. Why would that be a bad thing? I guess it is that the focus is so much on body and not mind and personality, which comes later. But this is probably pretty realistic to how young boys experience the surge of hormones.

This song was released at a time when 'molkka' or concealed cameras in ladies' toilets and upskirt videos was a big concern in Korea. And also when BTS was starting to make waves and fans of other k-pop groups just wanted to find any way to bring them down. Personally i find the song to be a portrayal of how teenage boys get excited with the opposite gender as their hormones start to kick in and they become hyper-aware of certain things (which happens to females too, tbh).

As a woman i found nothing wrong with the lyrics. in fact this was one of the most fun lives from them because it was so unpredictable and unscripted. Because of poor translation some words got Lost from the actual meaning and inter fans were mostly offended by it dou to that poor translation in the part that says "girls are an equation and guys do them" this part was a little doubled in meaning because of the world "do" . In Korean that line is talking about man and woman having an equal part in a relationship. Half is the girls(equation) and the other half being the boys (the answer that both complete each other) the rest i find so raw and so what a teenage boy which they were would write in his diery. At that time that's what was on their mind and they just put it in a song. Along there are so many other topics they covered at that time. This was the one that was mostly lets say from their teenage mind. That is the beauty of someone growing as an artist rather than a person who takes a random meaningless song that someone else wrote and just perform it. That is just a performer not an artist. Even when bts doesn't write their own song they are involved in the process of what they want it to be like and they decide; not the other way around so they take responsibility of what is put our there as they did and they learn a lot. I think that's very important because often times singers who don't write anything never have to face consequences and everyone can always just blame the company but the singer will always get all the credits and cheers and awards. That's one of the reasons that makes them the best

I'll try to explain the problem. some shameless men who did something bad towards women often say "it's not my falt. she was wearing inappropriate clothes (even if she was not) that's why I can't see her any different from sexual object. that's my nature that's my hormones. I'm not the one who's responsible". it is present in the song. but the song actually talks about the delusional expectations of the teenager who wants to act as "bad boy" but never will be the one. like in jhope part "after fighting my hormones today I'll pop my pimple" (reality check). that's also why the lyrics are exaggerated. because the mature man understand that women just same people and not "cultural asset" even if he loves one. so the intention of the song is to show the ridiculousness of this stage of growth. it wasn't to encourage men to harass women further. but the delivery wasn't that clear. so haters could easily use that.

As a woman, I do not find this song offensive. It was primarily Korean citizens and other K-pop group fans that complained/brought it to social media attention about the lyrics, resulting in the pressure of Big Hit/RM apologizing. This is upsetting and ridiculous, especially when there are many other songs from other artists that are worst, but are accepted by society. Bottom line, those people (haters), we're just jealous of BTS talent and popularity. I hope they get the opportunity to sing this song again and with "21st Century Girls". - Eduardo Galeano - escritor.

I love the Eduardo's Galeano quote. And it's so true.As a society we have become so shallow and superficial. It's truly sad.
They spoke honestly, and in a humorous way, about something that affects ALL teenagers. Both male and female.💜

a bit of context, they have some comedy dance practices, in some of them they even dress up (the dance practice from go go halloween Ver. is one of the funniest) the most recent is the dance practice from BUTTER Christmas version, too It is fun
you really need to see more behind the scenes content, maybe it would be great if you could watch some RUN BTS on their variety show, you will realize that even though the members are adults they are still very cute and funny, that is what we army love about them, that they continue to be themselves and have always shown themselves as they are, even though they are world stars they continue to remain true to themselves.

This song totally justify it's title War of Hormones. Overall it is a good song except 1-2 lines which I personally do not like (looks a little disrespectful) but actually the truth of teenage life. People should not hate them for this song when they can accept & love a whole misogynistic songs or mv or movie etc. If you are rejecting them for misogynistic lyrics then you should also reject other artists, almost everyone 😅 as all of them have used such lyrics in their artistic work to build their careers.💜♾️

i think maybe only korea girls had problems with it because they dont have boyfriends before collage and they just dont talk about these things in the US and all over the world sex is always a part of the songs. i just think it´s brave of them to sing about stuff that korea is not costum with like the education system and many other problems in the society

This song clearly talks about what teenage boys have on their mind. It's literally war of hormones. And nothing is wrong about it. They did not use any specific word to objectify girls. There are so many other songs that are cringe for real. But this track, it's just amazing. People need to understand small little things what others go through. 🤷

I've actually seen worse than that, and no one ever talked about them, I mean, they don't even use girls' naked bodies for show like many do.
For me they just wanted to attack them.
Look at them now they don't have songs like this anymore because of that (about love or romance or girls)

Love seeing you just enjoy watching them. War of Hormones is one of the family's fave performances. They do something different every single time when they were performing this on their promo days. I'd like to recommend for you to watch their Melon Music Premiere Showcase in 2014 where they've performed Danger, War of Hormones & Let Me Know (this third song got no MV) -->czcams.com/video/2GEXISy91XM/video.html You should definitely check out this stage of them :) Thanks, Cyrus! 💜
