Hiking the Velebit in Croatia with Highlander Adventure

- In September 2020, we've accomplished a thru-hike we will remember, the Highlander Velebit Adventure in Croatia. The Velebit mountains are where the Highlander Adventures were born.
There is definitely something really cool about these 5 days adventures. It is not always easy to find a short time adventure that gives you a thru-hike taste. Mission accomplished for Highlander that manages to bring together the ingredients for an intense social hiking experience.
5 intense days during which you will be free to tackle different routes and take the pace you feel like. Be ready to meet people, cool people, and a lot of them, on the way. You share a passion , maybe a vision, at least you share an adventure.
There is not 1 Highlander Velebit but an infinity, you are the only master of your hike !

Can you hike it with sturdy running shoes? Or are trail hiking boots required?
We did it with strong runners, you definitely don't need hiking boots if you don't want to. It's a great trail and a great event, feel free to ask any questions 😊

I have many trails but not carrying the ⛺ and stove in back pack
The highlander has given that we must carry our own tent, stove to re heat the food
My doubt is how to carry the tent
I mean already we will have a back pack which will contain our clothes for three days, then stove and rain coats
I guess you should probably have a test 2 or 3-day-hike on your own with your gear to see how it fits
You can form a team, and divide some load. It says on the website which gear the team can share. E.g., only 1 stove per 4 person team, one first aid, one tent, etc. Although that would have to be a big tent... :D
Or how to carry the hydration bladder of 5 litters and tent whether we need to keep our tent inside our back pack
Well I guess it depends on the size of your pack and the size of your tent. My back can hold a lot of water, tent, sleeping bag, and everything

Vous avez complètement raison ! C'est terrible, en même temps il s'agit d'une vidéo sur un événement collectif de type course / aventure. Donc pas forcément le sujet ici. Mais je pense que bien des gens voyagent encore avec le coeur léger de rencontres et de découvertes!

On the Velebit you had water once a day on every checkpoints and some sources in the mountain, I don't know how is the track in UAE
