#TheCrow
Bill Skarsgård takes on the iconic role of THE CROW in this modern reimagining of the original graphic novel by James O’Barr.
Soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
The original crow with Brandon Lee was my fav movie as a kid, watched the vcr tape so much it quit working
Same here. I ordered the anniversary collectors edition off Amazon the other week.
Idk how I feel about this version, but I'll watch it
Same. Saw the movie several times in the theater, bought the soundtrack, bought the original comic and even have the original MacFarlane figure still in the box. This movie is going to have a hard time trying to pick up the torch from the original.
And they think people will do the same for this film 😂😂😂 that's what's so funny. People born after the original probably never seen it and this is all they will know.
Same here. I recorded it off tv. I wish I had my original recording with commercials and everything. Man I'd cry if i had that copy again
"Just paint your face," the shadows smile
Slipping me away from you
"Oh, it doesn't matter how you hide
Find you if they're wanting to
So slide back down and close your eyes
Sleep a while, you must be tired"
Consider me cured.
But every night I burn every night I call your name …
*Brandon Lee = 28 years old*
*R. I. P 31 March 1993*
*Bruce Lee's son*
*the crow 1994. A great movie❤*
*People once believed that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes, something so bad happens that a terrible sadness is carried with it and the soul can't rest. Then sometimes, just sometimes, the crow can bring that soul back to put the wrong things right...*
*If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever.*
And he would rotate in his grave if he knew.

@@skynetsworldpeople move on unlike you. Cry harder no one cares
@@zoyadulzura7490I swear people thinking this is going to add fans to something because it's remade is absolutely ridiculous. Especially with movies that are still fresh in people's minds.
They aren't even giving it time to fit the remake criteria which is disrespectful at most and laughable at best.
Because I and so many others still remember how awesome that movie was we know it won't compare due to other remakes having the same fate of hubris and ego.
Movie that deserved a remake for example.
3:10 to yuma
When it was remade nobody I knew had ever seen or even heard of it. That's how you do a remake. You wait.....because 1 a remake is for movies that were good but had disadvantages. 2. It had little to no attention for about it was made in 1957 the remake for it wasn't made until 2007.........see how that makes a big difference.
Technology, dialog, camera work, cinematography....all these things had improved by huge leaps by the time they decided to remake it.
And furthermore it worked! Seeing remakes these days are a dime a dozen and most don't compare to the originals.
Because unlike 310 to yuma they weren't really trying to remake something they were trying to cash in on the name. Just like they are doing now.
This teaser looks like the intro for American Horror story.
Exactly what I was thinking!

Let's see how Hollywood can screw this up

@RighteousBrother yes but this is current Hollywood, massive difference if you have actually been paying any attention
Why not just release the trailer, I personaly don't understand why there's a teaser for a trailer lol
marketing, creating the wait
There is a trailer now. 😅
To get more people to watch it.
"Who the f#(k are you supposed to be man?"
"I'm your passenger...drive."
I hope they have dark/sad/melancholic music in this reboot because i wanna feel the characters emotions.
Itll be techno and emo rap crap
My vote is for HEALTH to do the soundtrack
"Pain and Retribution" from the original can never be beat. I picture that playing as Jesus returns.
I've seen who they have signed on to make the music and it's rap and emo crap. Nothing like NIN, KMFDM, Rage, STP, Pantera, The Cure, Rollins Band, thrill kill cult, Violent Femmes...
Its like MGK, Post Malone, and a few others I've seen...
It will be very very difficult to even come close to the original soundtrack
It's crowing time
So it begins
again 💀
amg LOL
Why remake it ?
Because it’s not necessarily a remake of the original film. It’s based on comics that can be open to a lot of adaptations.
Monies
To add more money to pockets without coming up with original material.
To expose a new generation to 'The Crow' and keep the brand alive. Not a lot of Gen X and Alpha know about it.
Edit: Gen Z, not X 🙃
@@reneperez4980If it were based on another adaption you’d be right, but it’s based on Eric Draven’s story, the same character the original was based on. Thats a remake. Period!
The Crow isn't a trapper!
I have a deep respect for the original 1994 film. I very well remember the world mourning the untimely death of Brandon Lee. I would have preferred that the original film be left alone to stand as a testament to the memory of Brandon, but obviously the filmmakers don’t share my opinion. So I wish this new film much success if for no other reason than to honor Brandon’s portrayal. Bill Skarsgard is a fine actor and I’m sure he went into this role understanding the enormity of the situation and the large shoes he was stepping into. So let’s just wait and see what the filmmakers have done. The movie may be good. It will never have the impact of the original, but perhaps it can create its own space.
Bill is a great actor for sure and seems like a good human being. But I also wonder if he spoke to Chad Stahelski (whom they worked on John Wick 4 ) how he feels about the new The Crow, because Chad was Brandon’s stunt double and close friend.
@@nicolebohrnstedt8008 that is very interesting question because your right. Chad was Brandon’s double in the original Crow film.
the original Top Dollar quote "Quick impression for you caw! caw! BANG Fuck I'm dead." sums up how I feel about reboots.
"Tell me you don't understand the original movie or the comic..."
Watches teaser...
"Ok you have no fucking clue. Good."
Bill Skarsgård is an precious actor.
Not gonna hold a candle to the original but will probably still check it out
no possibility to touch even the tone of the 94 movie
And they obviously aren’t trying to touch the same tone
@@BonesYourDaddy you're simping for this movie hard
@@doesitmatter9085They just stated that it wasn't copying the tone of the original...which is fact.
The original isn't even the original. Yes it cemented Brandon Lee as a cult hero, but that movie was NOTHING like the ORIGINAL comic

As someone who absolutely adores the Brandon Lee film, I'm willing to give this a shot. That being said, it has a LOT of work to do to overcome those TERRIBLE first impressions.
Like the movie basically has to be flawless just to be considered good at this point.
Why? Even Brandon Lee's version of The Crow wasn't without it's flaws. It was a great film but it wasn't perfect. You and I don't have to like this movie but as long as other people do, then it's done it's job and I'm happy that they do.
You shouldn't, it's going to suck.

ikay you got my attention
Reminds me so much of when Leto was first revealed as the joker. Not just the actual look but everyone's reaction to it and everyone else's reaction to the negative reactions lol. Not quite as many talking about it but man, the conversation is so similar.
The original Crow film back in 1994 with the late Brandon Lee is a masterpiece and doesn't deserve a remake. Remaking the Crow is like a big slap to the face to the late Brandon Lee and it's like disrespecting the legacy.
My thoughts exactly and you put them into words better than I could
I guarantee you it's probably just the copyright expires soon if they don't do something with it. 🙃
Agree
SERIOUSLY...It's like trying to do a remake of the GODFATHER 1🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦..... Hollywood was fortunate with movies like "Dawn of the Dead" & The sequel to "Blade Runner".....very seldom do things work out though.
@@PatrickHausenfleck-zf4lf i still haven't seen the blade runner sequel but I've heard mixed things. Is it worth watching?
Can't wait to see it after Bad Boys 4. Good thing I've seen the original one with the late Brandon Lee that came out 30 years ago.
looks promising. It is also just hilarious how people are losing their minds over a few still images
It’s hilarious that Hollywood lost their mind trying to pass off those pics like they were a sign of awesomeness to come.
@Frank-cw2xy
Maybe do some research
It inspired by lil peep who deals with grief like Eric Draven due to loss of his father
Lil peep father left him when he was 10 and his father figure absence was huge part of his drug addiction
First off that's incorrect the director said that his look is inspired by lil peep and post Malone because he wants to get to these young people and look at Eric and say wow that's me that guy is me not because he lost his dad even though when you do a quick search about peep his parents split up when he was 15 years old so where did you get 10
@bman6285 I did a bit of quick research on lil peep (I can’t even type ‘lil peep’ without either laughing or cringing but that’s neither here or there). If this Crow reboot is truly inspired by lil peep then fine…that just further strengthens my argument that this new movie is going to be terrible.

After seeing what Bill Skarsgård had done as Pennywise I knew immediately that he was the kind of actor that you would want to see play in any role because he can just GO THERE with any of his performances
Except he should have skipped this one.
He did great in john wick
Good point.
Um…no he did not. I know all you dudes who absolutely love John Wick can’t outright admit it but #4 was awful. Bill Skarsgard’s acting did nothing to elevate it. He is a crappy actor.

“The Crow” is one of my favorite movies and I know many people are skeptical of this remake but I personally don’t doubt Bill’s ability to deliver.
I hope the villains are good. Top Dollar was a good villain.
We haven't had a goth punk action flick in a while. I'll see it for the soundtrack if they do it right. Misfits? Joy Division? Bauhaus?? Lets do it!! No more symphony bullcrap we get with every movie today!!
This is t going to be goth or punk. Odds are it’ll reflect today’s generation just like the original reflected mine, so it’ll be various sub-genres of hip hop sprinkled with the more “deep” pop songs. They might get some awful wannabe creepy band to cover something used in the old one. Ghost covering Joy Division or something like that. Honestly, they could produce a soundtrack that today’s youth will love if they put thought into it other than cash flow.
@@mechachrist The Crow was specifically written and drawn to be an 80s goth action noir tale. Eric Draven was created as Peter Murphy from Bauhaus. The entire background was inspired by Joy Division, Bauhaus, The Cure and rest of the goth culture. If you don't have that, then it is not the Crow. It is an entirely different movie and should be renamed something else.
My Crow #1 cgc 7.5 is about to go up!!! Probably never sell it tho
I personally liked Rupert Sander's Ghost in the Shell, I understood the mainstream approach to the story over the original (look at the box-office of Alita), and I think Bill Skarsgaard is a very watchable actor. This movie has potential! I have high hopes!
You still liked Ghosts in the shell even with a terrible casting choice playing the lead role.
@@Frank-cw2xymainly the problem was age rating just from the teaser this movie will not pass as pg-13
The best part of the Ghost in the Shell Remake was the visuals. It may not have had the same depth or complexity as the original, but it at least looked and felt like Ghost in the Shell.
Gits remake was so dumbed down and forgettable
It might be ok or even good but it will never replace the original with Brandon Lee. I make sure to watch the original once a year. I love the original!

One thing that Rupert Sanders knows how to do is visuals. His movies may be bad but the visuals and the effects are stunning.
The Screenplay is by Zach Baylin who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 2022 and the score for this movie is by Volker Bertelmann, who won an Oscar for Best Original Score in 2023, so I mean there is still hope.
Yeah this movie is going to suck.

I turned when 21 one the original came out and of course it's master piece and a classic but this movie is coming out this summer and I'm curious to see it. People are complaining about how this crow looks nothing like the original, yet these some people would be slamming it if it were to much like the original.
The trailer drops alright, drops doa.
I'm having high hopes for this movie. Don't let me down ❤
It probably will
Too late
O visual do Eric Draven ficou um lixo!
Breaks my heart, they really have run out of ideas. I haven't even seen this version and I already know that the original will always be my favorite.
I don't understand the incessant need to reboot movies. There's so many other great stories to be told that aren't Eric. Hell, give us our first female Crow film! There's lots of great source material already.
Not many young people from Gen X and Alpha are interested in watching old films from the 90s. It's keeping the brand alive and exposing a whole new generation to 'The Crow' if anything. As a fan of the original, I have absolutely no qualms with a reboot and I think there's a fantastic team behind it. If it does well, then hopefully we'll keep getting more.
We had female Crow in "Stairway to Heaven". I will agree that the source material could have been used outside of a reboot. Eric's story is quite a journey that couldn't be condensed into the first film by a long shot. I want to like this, but it's going to be a hard sell for anyone who lived in the time of the the written and film days.
