    Love the specimen piece! I dissolve those in caustic soda so that they reveal their natural state but it’s difficult and dangerous but wow they come out pretty

      I might just keep this one how it is. It shows how the crystal has grown from the mineralised fluid flowing through it.
      Thanks for your comment👍

    Thanks Mark, very interesting. That curagong tree, we had one in our backyard at my grandfathers homestead here in Victoria, I'd love to know where it came from, still a mystery, enjoyed the video Paul .

      I think this species in endemic to the arid region. We also have a kurajong at home, different species though.
      Thanks for your continuing support. 🍺

    Thats a really good point with the tree roots - in the GT I have been fooled many times and like you say - it sounds promising bit can leave you with nothing for your time and effort

    Thanks for the video, firstly can you please do something with the audio. It's really hard to hear you talking. I can hear you digging and the 6000 picking up targets but i cant quite hear you clearly. When you say you run it flat out is it in manual 10 or auto 2 ? Cheers Mick

      @goldfools5445  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Sorry about the audio. I have tried a few different microphones but I am not sure if they are working on not when I am in the field.
      Flat out meaning “manual 10”
      I don’t use auto. I would if I thought it was better but I use what I think is best for me.

      Try auto2 then hold down diff/normal button until it yells at you constantly, I have been picking up dozens of sub gram bits in smashed areas.
      PS: don’t tell anyone

      Great comment. I am having a bit of a rethink in certain situations. We are heading to the lease this week and I am going to do some further testing. If you see our latest video, there is an issue with difficult in certain situations. It’s a balancing act I know. Do you miss some gold to have more time finding gold or do you dig things that you know are a waste of time, just incase it’s a worthwhile target. Watch our latest video then when I post videos of our trip in a few weeks, we will have better answers.

    I watched a guy dig down about 700mm with a modded 5000 and called my detector over with the 6000 and it turned out to be nothing. 😂

    • @goldfools5445
      @goldfools5445  Před 3 měsíci

      That’s right. That’s a long way to dig for nothing. If you don’t get a major change with every two inches down. Best to kick in an walk away.

    With the 9” coil it’s deadly

      @royjohnson465 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Do you mean the 9” Coiltek Goldhawk coil.? I am in Canada and I just bought that coil for my 6000 but I have not used it yet, I’m looking forward to giving it a try. I wonder if it’s better than the Nugget Finder Exceed 12x7”.?

      I tried a 9” Goldhawk. You were right..
      it’s a good coil. Thanks.👍

      @@goldfools5445 ~’IF’ you know is it better (in any way) than the stock ML GPX 11” coil ‘or the’ NF Exceed 12x7” coil.?
      ~I never got a chance to try out my Coiltek Goldhawk 9” yet here in Canada because we have had wildfire smoke and then after that torrential rains in the bush, one extreme to the other.

      @royjohnson465 I found it stable, very sensitive. I am pretty sure it has a depth advantage as well. All round it definitely makes a difference.

    What a load of garbage your not showing anything, we all know how to swing a coil

    • @goldfools5445
      @goldfools5445  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I am not trying to show coil swinging, it’s about ground response and settings.
      What detector do you swing when gold prospecting?
