Here’s the thing. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with helping family/friends out when you’re in a position to do so. The problems start when you overdo it and your friends/family start expecting it and guilt you into doing it. It’s a slippery slope bc yea it’s cool to help but to an extent bc you don’t wanna handicap ppl to where they’re totally dependent on you. Me personally if I’m a multimillionaire, I’m making sure myself and my family (if I got one) are set up for life no matter what happens first. Next are my parents for sure. Everyone after that will get help but it will come with the understanding that this is a one time thing and to still work and keep your job. If they don’t get that then they won’t get anything bc it will become a problem down the road.
